He's a skilled tailor, but expensive and not perfect. I had him tailor 2 blazers and dress shirts for around $460. The sides were taken in well on all of the pieces, however it looks like he didn't touch the sleeves. So on top of the $460 I'm now paying to have the sleeves shortened at another shop so in the end it wasn't worth the price. read more

I just left DTC Tailor today with the suit for my wedding and could not be happier with the work that Sam has done. The suit fits perfectly, modern but classic, and Sam was incredibly kind throughout. The turnaround time was even faster than expected, and I believe the price was very reasonable ($220 for a full level of suit alterations on a jacket that may have been a tad too big when first ordered.) I'll absolutely be back in the near future and would strongly reccommend any of my friends go to DTC Tailor as well. read more

If you show interest, he'll take the time to show you why it's better to hem the clothing article a certain way for your body shape. We like when he explains! I am sad that I cannot report such a good experience with DTC Tailor. He overcharged me by ALOT! Admittedly I didn't call around before I took my items in for alterations and chose my tailor based on convenience. I called after I left my three pieces because the quote seemed high-and it was high-2.5-3 times what another tailor would charge me. DTC Tailor is the epitome of highway robbery! When I picked my items up he told me I need to exercise to make my dress fit better and then said over and over "Don't complain" and even wrote it on my ticket-I guess he must have thought for the price I might expect perfection???? read more

Sam tailored my wedding suit. It was all over the place to start and Sam fixed it up in no time. Fit perfect!!

I took an A-line bridesmaid dress in to be hemmed to my shoe length and I suspect I was overcharged. The dress itself was only $200 and he charged $140 just to shorten the hem. I had a lot of things going on and didn't want to try another shop. He asked several questions about what me and my husband do for work and I wonder if he upcharged me because he assumed we could pay it. He also kept saying that the bodice was too tight, and wanted to alter that as well, despite my insisting that I will only wear it once for a few hours and will make do. There's no way I can justify paying more for tailoring than the dress was worth! He then told me that I should exercise a lot until the wedding, which was honestly super hurtful and frankly, inappropriate. The tailoring work was fine but I will seek a more affordable and respectful shop next time. Or maybe I will use my own sewing machine to try it myself. read more

Went in to have a pair of trousers nipped in at the waist. Ladies, you know what I mean. When your pants fit in the butt and you have that big gap in your lower back, because designers cut these clothes for stick figures with no curves. Usually, alteration places just ask you how many inches to take in, and you go on with your day. The owner/manager actually made me try the pants on and pinned them in place. He is very personable and a little jokester. You'll see what I mean! The shop is bright and clean and I am very happy with how my pants fit. I do think $25 for the alteration is a bit pricey, since it's a fairly simple fix. Hence, four stars instead of five. read more

This place is great. Conveniently located on Yosemite and belleview. The man who owns the business is a nice Korean man who is funny and jokes around and is kind. He is efficient and does great work. His hours are great too. Not many tailors open on weekends until 5pm. I enjoy stopping by here for all of our tailoring and dry cleaning needs to have a chat with the owner and hang out. I took two uniform dresses in to be tailored and he quoted me about a little over $200 for both to be Tailored... they are uniform dresses and I needed to have them done. Today I picked up the dresses and I should've had him write down the price quote because he charged me $350 !!!! to pick them up...of course I had to pay it because I needed my uniform dresses. Just be warned! And his memory is very short because I asked him why he was charging me so much more this time for doing the same thing he did on the dress but a few months ago and he tried to say that he did Less altering to the first rush which is not true he did the same exact thing and charged me over $100 more! Unbelievable! Steer clear and find a different Tailor even if you have to drive a few miles more. I was completely ripped off today. And he was trying to pressure me into paying cash. read more

Just finished my first experience at dtc tailor! It was wonderful. I had just bought 2 brand new suit and MW did an awful job on my tailoring. I called dtc tailor at 5pm and asked him if he would be able to tailor 2 suits by the end of day tomorrow. I had a business conference in Vegas so it was urgent. The owner was amazing and waited at his store for me to show up. He is obviously experienced at what he does.. he had both suits finished by 2pm the next day.
