I had two very positive experiences with Odenheimer Co. I highly recommend them for their…read moreresponsiveness, high quality of work and for their commitment to actually solving the well problems (even if it meant less profit for them in our case). In short: At the 1st property troubleshooting and well pump replacement was complete within a few hours of calling on a Friday! At the 2nd property mom's well had gone completely dry and Odenheimer was able to lower the pump opposed to drilling a new well. Significant stress relieve in both cases! I found Hunter's (owner) attitude to be aligned with "doing the right thing" opposed to "making the most money possible". Details: At the 1st property: Our well appeared like it was going dry for 3 days. Lost water pressure entirely multiple times. I called on a Friday around 11AM, talked to Hunter within a few minutes told him I was worried the well was running dry. He said that could be the case but wanted to rule out other causes before assuming a deeper well was required. The team came was at the property 2 hours later, troubleshooted 35+ year old pump in about 5-8 minutes (was drawing high current and overheat shutdown), replaced well pump with an upgraded model within a few hours. Was so thankful job was done same day! At the 2nd property: Mom's well had gone dry over the winter and recovered in spring. Was concerned well would go dry again. Other well drilling companies said a new well was required which is obviously costly. Hunter wanted to double check all options before drilling a new well (which he was happy to do if required). The team was able to lower the existing pump after taking careful measurements of including water flow rate, table, various pump/well heights etc. All said I couldn't be happier! Also glad to speak with a knowledgeable person right away (opposed to having the phone answered by AI!)

They replaced the pump for free and told me I had a poor producing well. They proved that to me so I had them come to deepen the well. The new deeper well produces fantastically and they went to a lot of effort to avoid some trees, which was hard and cleaned up afterward. After all that, it was a very fair price, even cheap for what they went through. I will tell everyone I know about them.

I engaged Bellview Pump on the recommendation of my HVAC provider…read more I wanted to have preventative maintenance performed by jetting out the waste and drain lines in my restaurant. They arrived and performed the work however shortly after their departure the drains baked up. I called to request they return, and they did, doing additional jetting, and departed. Again the drains backed up. Again I requested they return. This time they discovered that the jetting process forced debris further in the pipes causing a blockage before the grease trap. The technician complained about the debris causing the blockage. Well that's what I hired them for - to clean out the drain pipes and prevent a blockage. I don't tell professionals how to perform a job that they have expertise in. I guess they should have run an adequate amount of water through the drains to insure flow. The drain backup happened during business hours resulting in several inches of water across the kitchen floor. We had to stop accepting customers and preparing food. The result was several thousand dollars in lost revenue. They billed me for the three visits. I paid for 8.5 hours of service - $2550. Had they performed the work correctly the first time, my bill would have been less than half that amount.

So disappointed in this business. Our neighborhood's previous well company closed so we chose…read moreKnight as our new go-to for well maintenance. For the past few years we have only used them primarily for water testing. Last Friday however, we had a major issue. The pump stopped working, and we were left with no water at all for the holiday weekend. Knight was already closed for the day, and thankfully one of the neighbors was able to find another company to come out and take a look. They recommended that we replace the pump and gave us a quote. Since we had no experience with the new company we called Knight this morning. I explained what our situation was and said that we had been given an estimate from one company but we wanted a second opinion from them also since we considered them "our" well company. I was pleased that the person I talked to said she could get a crew out today to take a look. Fast forward to two hours later and I got a call from the neighbor helping out as the point of contact. He told me that "our" own well company Knight, gave him an estimate that was not only $2500 HIGHER than the first company, but he also insisted on collecting a $185 "service fee" just to come out and look. He asked to be paid on the spot, so the neighbor felt he had no choice. I was so angry about this. Why didn't the person who put us on their schedule tell me about this fee? Just to get an estimate? For what? 10 minutes? If I had known I would have simply asked if they could quote the job based on what the other company told us was needed. I called and spoke to the scheduler again and I let her know how angry I was that she didn't bother to tell me about this charge. I said why on earth would you not say it's going to cost you $185 just to get an estimate, and give me the chance to decline, which I would definitely have done? She actually told me "why would we give you a diagnosis/estimate just so you can get someone else to do the work?" Wow. How about being transparent and not fleecing your customers? If there would have been a $50 gas fee or something that I was told about when I called I might have been less upset about it, but at no time did she say anything about it. I said I was very angry about this and I thought it was a pretty crappy way to do business. She said well we've been around for 65 years so we really don't care. In all of my years of home ownership and repairs I have never had someone charge me this much money just to provide an estimate. Needless to say we won't be calling them ever again.

Everything they did showed extreme precision. I've been hiring people to do construction for 40 years. Dylan and Barry exceed every important parameter of workmanship of anyone I've ever hired before. Additionally, the owner of the company, Rick Raab, showed up unexpectedly, picked up a shovel, and gently dug for a half hour to find a buried pipe without damaging the pipe. There's no doubt that Rick works as hard as he expects his men to-- Additionally, they installed a state of the art pumping system. Every single piece is stainless steel and of the best possible quality. Most people will never need a well driller; but, if you do, you cannot POSSIBLY do better than Raab Well Drilling!

I would have been the first to recommend them with ***** if it were not for the last well, which soured all the good will they had built with us. On every job, I deferred to Rick Raab's recommendations, never tried to negotiate down the price, paid immediately on receipt of invoice. This last job to renew the pump and galvanized pipe that were failing was no exception. Unfortunately, substituting PVC for the galvanized never worked, it failed two times. To Rick's credit, he replaced the PVC with galvanized at his expense, he never asked me to cover any of the materials or labor. Then the new variable speed pump he installed to replace the traditional Gould failed. That is where things broke down between us. I offered to pay for a new Gould pump but they ghosted me. I am left holding the paid bill for $1000's with nothing to show for it, just a deep dark useless hole in the ground. I have owned many small businesses and sympathize with others that have "bad" customers but that's not the case here. I am a stellar customer who treats people with respect, pays promptly and every contractor who ever worked for me will back me up, even in court if it comes to that. I hope it doesn't. I just want a fair handshake settlement for everyone.
