If you're looking to hire a thug, Nino is your guy. Hired them to do pavers and turf after them being recommended by a friend. Their quote was 11k, i offered 10k, he accepted the offer and came for work with his crew. I've paid after they were done, while taking a final look, i told Guillermo about the glue, he said he will come back to clean it up and finish grouting the pavers. It's been 12 days, I'd call and text every two days, and they still didn't come to finish it. I've decided to call Nino yesterday, he literally asked me to hire someone to clean the pavers cuz he's not coming back. I'm like dude, i referred you to two of my friends already, that's how you treat me? He's like i don't care about your business and i don't want it. I tried staying calm on the phone and told him man, im not trying to pick a fight, im just asking you to finish the job you started and got paid for, then he started calling me names. After a very positive experience with phase 1 of my project, I hired this company to do phase 2 of my project. Phase 2 was to redo my back yard by removing some overgrown trees, install pavers for a patio and walk ways, install raised planter beds, and install a sprinkler system. During the install of pavers I noticed that the borders of the patio and the walkways that they were laying down were neither straight nor parallel to my house and deck. I asked the crew to fix this but no one on site seemed to understand me. I was unable to contact Nino by phone so I texted him that I would not except this work. This happened on a Friday. No response from Nino. Over the weekend, I laid down some string lines to show where I wanted the pavers to be laid. On Monday, a crew arrived and they seemed to be interested in fixing the problem. However, instead of laying pavers according to the lines I had laid down, they moved my lines and the result of their work was walkways that are not parallel to my house and deck. I gave up arguing with Nino and his crew and accepted what I still think is unacceptable work. But then there is the sprinkler system... Within a week after 'completion' of the project, a coupler in the sprinkler system came apart and spewed muddy water over the new patio. Nino sent his guys to 'fix' it. This worked for a short while but then the leak occurred 4 more times. Each time, I called Nino, he sent his guys, I told his guys that they used the wrong size couplings but they didn't understand me and their 'fix' worked for only a very short time. The last time this happened, I texted Nino but he ghosted me and I ended up fixing the problem myself. read more

In August we moved into a new construction home that had a 10x10 covered patio outside and the rest of the yard was grass. We wanted to use our patio table and chairs, but it did not fit well in the 10x10 space. We thought about putting it on top of the grass, but it was extremely muddy and mushy even in the heat of August. We decided that we wanted to have pavers extended out so we can utilize our table, use our BBQ and have a spot to put a portable propane fireplace. We also wanted to use our yard so it is not a mud pit at all times and decided to go with artificial turf. For months, we had many companies and landscapers come out to give us quotes and we were not 100% satisfied with what was told to us. I do not like pressured sales or being told that I have to sign a contract 'right now' in order to get discounts and then never hear from them again. When that is told to me, I immediately exclude you as out because this is a big decision and a lot of money to be putting into a project. I need to take my time to understand everything before saying yes. We noticed our neighbors had artificial grass and their yard looked amazing. I asked who they used and they sent me the business card for Duerte's Landscaping Company. I called up Nino and asked for him to come over to show him what we were thinking of doing and he was quick to respond and came out the next day to give us a quote. I asked how soon he could get it done and he said within a week. He said whenever we are ready, just let him know. No sales pressure and he was available to answer any questions/concerns. He answered many questions I had and was easy to work with and we decided to use him and his company. We have never been more satisfied with a job. They put in a 16x16' patio to extend out from our undercover patio so we can utilize our table. They removed all our grass and replaced with artificial turf and created a pavers pathway on the front side of our house so we can have that space be more functional and not a mud pit. His crew was extremely friendly and fast. They were hard workers and the end result was more than we could have asked for. He was able to take our useless backyard into something that we can enjoy for years to come. Duarte has been installing turf at the house across the street from me. An employee has been taking a break in the company's Ram 3500 for the past 90 minutes, parked in front of my house. The truck has been on and idling loudly the entire time. I was working in my front yard (about 20 feet from the truck) so I asked the employee if he could kill the idle. He never responded verbally. Just sort of a sneer. He pulled the truck forward a few feet (so it was no longer blocking my driveway) and turned it right back on to idle for another hour. Hopefully they do a good job on my neighbor's yard, but that's super rude. read more
