Dublin Jewelers - Lots of estate sterling available! - Jewelry Near Me - Lansdale, Pennsylvania

I brought a yellow diamond ring and a 1 carat diamond earrings from Jarad about 7 years ago . They are natural diamonds . I took them in the store to get appraised and he thought i didn't know the worth so he gave me a price of 600$ for the both of them that is actually worth 6200$ can't believe they would low ball me on the suspicion that I was desperate or on drugs and wanted to sell. People do t trust this store with your valuables. read more

My good former jeweler had passed away, so I was trying establish a trustworthy relationship with Neill for a little over a year, as it's really difficult to find a good and honest jeweler when selling gold and silver. But unfortunately Neill failed at this and lost my business, because he began trying to be "slick" and "nickel-diming" me by using false spot prices on Saturdays, instead of using that Friday's closing spot price. Recently, he quoted me $60 for a silver dollar on a Friday afternoon, but I chose not to sell it until the following day on Saturday. So I came back in to sell the coin Saturday, and all of a sudden it was $55 when Friday's spot close price was even slightly higher. I was distracted and in a hurry during the transaction, expectant and trusting of him paying me the $60 he quoted me Friday afternoon. I went back to question him about it and he was reluctant to answer me as to where he got this fake spot price, and was really nonchalant about it also. He also patronized me by telling me that I should have realized it during sale and not have sold the coin(s). (I also had a 2 silver quarters he paid $2.50 less than he quoted me Friday). So apparently he used some phantom silver market on that Saturday, and now earned himself a review for not only for $10, but another time where I caught him and he managed to reimbursed me, but I had to let that incident slide that time because I had no other choice for a jeweler nearby. But an honest jeweler uses and should use the last spot price at close of market, and this doesn't reflect the reputation of Dublin jewelers has. Seems like a hit or miss with Neill now. And lately, I've noticed the atmosphere of service in there has changed since I began going there, because in January or February the place was locked up during normal business hours a couple times, plus, a guy at his age who gets his eyebrow pierced also makes me wonder. Sorry, but I won't cheated and patronized. Be wary and knowledgeable always when doing gold and silver business here, and even anywhere nowadays. read more

Walking in with 6 2023 1 oz silver britannias and being offered a $1.50 below spot is not what I call a place you should go if you're looking to sell silver or gold bullion. I would urge you to drive to Jenkintown Pennsylvania to the coin shop that's in business for over 100 years for the most fair teatment. read more

Family owned business. Fine jewelry. The family is not the friendliest - Maybe the daughter. The father had minimal interaction. They seem to only want to sell very expensive jewelry and take in estate jewelry. Really not invested in customers who need to buy on the lower end. read more

I used to take my husband and mine watches there to get batteries replaced, but I stop going there because the batteries never lasted. I started to save the recipes and wrote down the date. The BIG MAN told me it is guaranty for one year or free replacement. The last one only lasted 8 months. I took it back with a recipe in hand and he told me....this is the only time he will replace it for free. And that was the last time I went there, 2 years ago. And I don't like dishonest people. Especially the people I do business with. read more

Took my fiancés ring here to get resized. The guy at the counter told me it would take a week. We're going on three weeks now and everytime I go in the store he tells me another two days. How convenient he told me my ring would be done today and now all the sudden the store is "closed" until Tuesday. Very unhappy with the service. Extremely unhappy that nobody answers the phones or even gives the customer a phone call to update them on their property. My fiancé is supposed to try on wedding dresses this week and now she might not have her ring back in time for that. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Gives decent prices for gold however I have probably gone there about 5 times and each time store is closed unexpectedly when it states they are open, it's really frustrating since it's out of my way. I would call before going, read more

Dublin Jewelers made an honest mistake and their check bounced, but as soon as the store opened, they immediately made it good. They deserve a 5+ rating. Their professionalism and speed in making it right was admirable. They have more than restored my faith in them and I will be going back again. Thanks, again, Neil. read more

I went in to have my engagement ring resized and they did a fantastic job! Plus, the cost was extremely reasonable. The woman who took care of me (I forgot her name or else I would credit) was very personable and kind. They also polished up my ring and got rid of the scratches I already acquired. It looks just as good as the day of my proposal! Thank you, Dublin Jewelers!! read more

I love Dublin Jewelers. It's a no frills jewelry shop selling secondhand gold, silver, watches & some antiques. Their bread and butter is also buying gold and silver (they buy diamonds too), which has been my experience there. Don't let this bare bones look of this shop fool you--it's fill of treasures! The staff is wonderful and it's a family-owned business that's been around for years. The father is a doll and he's helped me several times when I have brought gold and silver in for cash. He will also take scrap, custom stuff as well. I'm no expert in getting gold and silver for cash, but have done great with all the things I have brought there. There seems to be the father and another woman who is the appraiser. Just a note - if you bring things to sell, they take your driver's license number as a precaution in case people sell stolen things. When they first did this, I was a little skeptical, but researched it and that's the law it seems and a standard for all places like this. I won't go anywhere else because I trust them, especially with having to give my driver's license number. I moved out of the area, but have no problem coming back to the area for the excellent customer service I receive when I go there. read more

No frills but a hidden treasure. I've purchased vintage and new from them. They do layaway with no extra charges. I have taken things to be fixed and they repair on site, which is a rare thing these days. I've had repairs done while I wait and in less than two weeks for more complicated work. They can also tell you what a repair would cost before you commit. I've also special ordered things from them. I have also sold pieces and the prices were fair. The real story here are the unusual vintage things, not cookie cutter mall fair. Moved out of Montgomery county but would probably come back when I need something repaired. read more

Nothing too special, but very friendly staff. Selection is somewhat small though. I sold them some jewelry and they gave me a very fair price. They all know what they are talking about and willing to help. Very clean place too, well lit. read more

So friendly! Fair prices given for jewelry. No pressure or attitude, and they have some unique pieces. It's nice that there are still some small businesses left in the area. read more

We took my husband's wedding band to get resized, They did an excellent job! My husband's ring has a unique design. Dublin Jewelers were able to replicated that design on the added gold. Their work was excellent. The staff was very friendly and the price was very reasonable. We will be returning with any repairs to other pieces in the future and will be recommending them to our friends. read more

Got a really good price on some coins I had. I also got a great deal on a chain for a pendent. Very helpful staff.

I also sold a ring there and was given a very good price compared to other places I took it too - nice selection

I come here mainly to have watches repaired or re-sized. They do a great job, charge next to nothing, and are extremely friendly. It's a well run business by an experienced family. Avoid the mall jewellers of you can and check this place out. For the aforementioned purposes, doesn't get much better. read more

I bought a wedding ring online for $200. I took it to this old man to have some of the stones in it replaced. I'm gay and I was getting married. I had always wanted a wedding ring with red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple AND pink. So in order to find this I had to buy something and then have it modified. This guy could NOT get it right and also each time I left the ring in his care it was 1-2 MONTHS before he got to doing anything to it. I'm not sure if he realized I am gay and was being disrespectful to me or if he is just starting to go downhill mentally. My request was not that hard and he just couldn't get it right. He kept finding pink stones instead of red and yellow instead of orange. Then the last time he tried to give the ring to me the stone color went like this orange, red, yellow. WHAT? Then when the prongs started breaking he told me he wouldn't fix his mistake and blamed the screw up on me: said that was what I told him to do!? I was livid. I was willing to pay top dollar just to get what I wanted and he wasn't even trying to charge me a lot! His son is a jeweler there too, so I finally got him involved and he fixed my ring up for me. If you want to buy jewelry, fine, go there, but if you want jewelry MODIFIED don't go here- the man needs to retire or something! read more
