Let me come in as soon as I could, stayed within my budget for a last minute dress, spoke to the tailor next door (Rebecca) and was able to find me the perfect dress my daughter loves and make sure alterations are done on time! Went in Saturday and found the dress, did alterations on Monday and am picking the dress up today (Wednesday). Niveah was one of my consultants that picked the perfect dress for me to try on and prayed with me over my babygirl before we left. I will never be able to thank them enough for making this a dream come true for my baby and us to be able to have this day with her. Thank you guys so much. Definitely will recommend this service, quality and efficiency to all future brides. They value their brides for sure!

I was not expecting to actually get a dressing room and a full-service experience. They were so polite, excited, and helpful! She pulled extra dresses for me to try and helped me through the entire process. I was so pleased and even found my "yes" dress! We worked with Haley, who was very friendly, kind, and attentive. She made sure we had what we needed and was proactive in bringing out dresses for my daughter to try on. While Haley was pleasant to work with, we did feel the experience could have benefited from more consultative guidance. As this was our first time shopping for a wedding dress, we would have appreciated more expert input--such as suggestions tailored to my daughter's style preferences or advice to help narrow down the choices. Although we didn't find "the one" during our visit, it wasn't a bad experience. The staff was courteous, and the store had a decent selection. With a bit more personalized guidance, it could have been even better.

Didn't ask me (the bride) a single question about my wedding, how many bridesmaids I was having, or the style I wanted. I then explained more than 4 times what I wanted and they both ignored what I had to say did not bring me anything I requested and then when we asked questions and looked through all of the dresses by myself I got eye rolls and completely ignored. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Horrible horrible horrible. Not to mention the dresses smelled like horrible body odor and were not sanitized at all before being placed back on the rack. There was not a single person in the shop when we were there yet both girls were in the back room, did not help either of my 2 bridesmaids try on or pick dresses, did not size either as well. Honestly I'm heartbroken at this experience and hope no one ever has to have this experience when shopping for one of the funnest parts of the wedding.

I went into White Off the Rack with photos of a dress that I fell in love with at another store. They said they could order me a new dress in that style and I said yes. When the dress arrived and I went to try it on and pick it up, it was HUGE. I could take handfuls of lace on the sides that would need to be removed. I expressed concern to the stylist about how large it was and she said "alterations can work wonders and will be able to fix it." I trusted her and took the dress home. I went to alterations and spent $1,000 on just alterations trying to get it to fit. At the end of all of this, the integrity of the dress was ruined because alterations couldn't get it to the correct size. I ended up going to the original store that I found my dress at and they sold me a sample so I would have something to wear on my wedding day. I wrote to White Off The Rack and described my horrible scenario that I went through at the store. The owner called me and said "I wish you would have said something before alterations because we could have taken the dress back." I did say when I picked up the dress that I was not happy and it was huge. They said to get alterations done anyways! Honestly I feel like I was duped. I spend $3,000 total on this dress that I can't wear and the only thing that the owner suggested is that I try to resell it. I told them that I was not happy with the fit and they told me to get alterations done. Once alterations are done they can't take it back. I do not recommend this store to anyone. I spend $2,000 on the gown and $1,000 on alterations and they are not compensating me at all. They should have agreed that the size was too big when I did my try on and not told me to get alterations. I feel that was their way out so they could wash their hands of me and say I altered the dress so they can't take it back.

Let me say, my experience is that this store should not be visited until major improvements are made! I was a bridesmaid for a bride who purchased her wedding dress at this place. I can't speak for her experience with that. She chose Beratti for us to purchase the bridesmaids' dresses because of the discount she was promised. Apparently, once Beratti has your wedding dress money, they no longer care about the kind of service they provide. My friend had picked out the bridesmaid dresses that she liked in advance. When we arrived for our appointment, they stalled us for twenty minutes because they lost her paperwork. It was never found. So we started from scratch. No particular salesperson helped us. Us girls just kind of pulled stuff off the racks ourselves. We asked for a dressing room, and all of us had to use the same one. We had to ask for them to provide the clips that help close the dresses when they don't fit right. It seems like we had to ask for everything. We were told that they had too little staff and too many appointments. Ours was made six weeks in advance. There is no excuse for overbooking and ignoring clients. When the decision was made on the dresses, they came to take our measurements. We individually went to the front to make our payment. On the form it says that you can put 50% down - but do not be mislead, that is only for wedding dresses. In a smaller font further down from the fine print the form says something along the lines of: "But not bridesmaids dresses. Those you have to pay 100% up front." When I asked the clerk (who I think was also the owner) she told me that she has to protect herself because when brides cancel their weddings, she loses the money because she has to pay to the manufacturer. I'm not stupid. I know there is such a thing as mark-up. And I know of many other boutiques that only require 50% down, so this excuse did not work on me. When the dresses came they were way too small. My friend, who is teeny tiny, couldn't fit into another girl's size 14 dress. This causes a huge problem for alterations - it's not like they're too big and can be taken in. Needless to say, we won't be giving Beratti any more of our money anyways.

However, my frustration with Beratti began when I had made several trips to their store with each of my bridesmaids (I wasn't able to schedule a mass outing due to my maids' schedules) and had selected a style of dress the girls all agreed on. The girls were measured and put down their deposits. Whew. Another task off the list! The next day, I got a call from Beratti stating that the dress the girls selected and ordered had actually been discontinued. I didn't really understand how this could happen, with everything being computerized....the craziest part is, the owner was the one who filled out the paperwork with all the girls! Needless to say, we had to schedule another day (or, couple of days) to go back into the shop to pick out a new dress that worked for everyone. When it came time to pick up the dresses, we had called to make an appointment for Sunday (as that was the only day all my maids were available). The appointment was made - I think for 10:30AM, when, in actuality, the store doesn't open until 11AM. It was the girl on the phone who had offered me the 10:30 appointment! We waited outside for a half hour. When we finally got in for the girls to try their dresses on, the dresses were wrinkled beyond belief....it was like they were literally pulled out of a box. The fit worked for most of the girls; we each made arrangements for alterations elsewhere, but the sizes were close to what they had been measured for. When I went back to pay for and pick up my bridal gown, I did talk to Mary, the owner, with whom I had other conversations with throughout the 8 months I shopped there. I'm an honest person who's not afraid to confront a problem, and know that in most cases, you can't improve your business with what you don't know. She appreciated my comments and apologized for the trouble that I had during the whole process. She said she would be talking with her staff to improve the processes within the store. My wedding was at the end of August 2011, and I can only hope that this store with great potential, has cleaned up its act.

I wanted to take the time to write a nice review for the Bachrach Store in the Southridge Mall…read more I need a suit for a wedding at the end of the month and I had not purchased a suit since 2002 or 2003 in California. I went to all the department stores in the mall and also to Men's Warehouse on 76th Street. Macy's, Boston Store, JC Penny's and Men's Warehouse just didn't have the selection and customer service I received from James at Bachrach. James wasn't pushy or hawk over you like a used car salesman. He just asked what I like and waited on me and my wife until I had tried on all the suits I wanted. They had a 2 for 1 sale on suits. So I put a black and navy suit on hold while we checked out the other stores. The other stores either didn't have enough choices or the sales people didn't care enough for our business. So I ended up going back to Bachrach to get measured up and finish my purchase. 2 suits, 2 ties, and alterations were $500 and the customer service by James was spectacular. We found out that he was the manager of the store and didn't work off commission. I told him I was impressed with his customer service and said I'll see ya Friday when I come pick up my suits! Why pay for the snobbishness at a chain store or large department store when you can get treated like a celebrity at Bachrach and still get a great deal...James is the man.
