Yes, it's a dive bar. Had the hamburger, not much flavor. Had a few (too many) gin & tonics. One of my G&Ts had a very slimy lime (was sick the next day), and there went the hamburger - revisit. Hubby had the tuna poke bowl over rice, he enjoyed it. Place has good vibes, but will never eat there, and will be more selective regarding slimy limes. read more

Visiting Wilmington for the month. My son, who lives in Wilmington recommended this place and I am glad he did! I love the quaint atmosphere and the regular patrons could not have been more hospitable to the "new guy". Bailey has been the bartender both times I have visited and she is absolutely fantastic! One of a couple of local/neighborhood dive bars that are pretty cool. Lots of drink specials and cold beer. Everybody here is pretty laid back. I like that they open in the early afternoon. Great for day drinking! read more

What a quaint local pub to hangout in! Although there selection of beers was limited due to reopening from COVID, there were plenty of spirits and bottled beers to choose from. Also unable to drink inside with COVID but they had a lovely outdoor side patio and seating out front to watch folks passing by. Would love to come back durning non-COVID times for some pool or darts or to just hangout at the bar top listening to music. read more

We've been here several times now, and each time have enjoyed it. Staff was super friendly, great selection of alcohol choices, and had a great live band. My only complaint was the band was so loud that that the bartender couldn't hear us when we ordered. But any small place will be like that when there's a live band. This place was recommended to us a good place to get a drink, and we had a good time here. They had live music when we were in there on Saturday night. Prior to the band arriving I was playing music on the touchtunes. I guess playing country music is a no-no here. Apparently if you want to hear country music you have to go to the bar called City Limits, which is funny because that is the one place we were told not to go to. Oh well. Duck and Dive is a great bar to take your pup and have a drink. I went on a Sunday and the $4.50 Bloody Mary's were pretty good especially for the price. There were so many dogs there all with great behavior. They have seats out front, plenty inside as well as a side patio section. There are a great number of beers on tap--just be sure to look around the bar as they are not all together. Staff is very friendly and keeps empties at a minimum by checking tables often. read more

This is the place anyone can go and feel comfortable. The bartenders are very attentive and the service is fast. After a few times of going, you'll feel like "one of the crowd" as everyone welcomes you. They have live music EVERY night of the week and there is NEVER a cover to get in. They also offer TV throughout the place, so you can keep up with your favorite sport. You can challenge your friends to a game of pool Don't forget to check out the courtyard on the side. Beautiful! The pub is nice. They allow dogs. But the bartenders are terrible . They have serious tunnel vision. I live two blocks away and it always amazes me how poor the service is here. The bar is about 20 feet long. Last night there were two bar tenders and a bar back and it still took way too long to get a drink. (And I was sitting at the bar) . I think it is some kind of bartender arrogance that must come from the 1980's. Maybe that movie cocktail where the bartenders were all stars. This happens so much in Wilmington. They love to slam the empty beer bottles in the garbage. The place was not even that crowded. I keep giving them 2nd chances and always say I am never going back....but it is so close to my house... The entertainment is usually great. But....do expect to wait forever for the bartenders to look at you! read more

Always my first stop when in Wilmington. This place is listed as a pub, which I guess technically it is, but it's more a dive. Comfortable couches, good beer, a pool table...what else can you ask for. I've never really spent more than an hour in here, but it's mostly because it's my first stop when getting into town before crawling to other places. Great bar for Team USA soccer matches

I really used to love this bar until the manager (?) owner (?) (big guy with beard) was rude to me on multiple occasions. Some people said "yeah he's a jerk but that's just who he is" so why should I spend my hard earned money somewhere to get treated like shit when I try to enjoy myself? Every time I give he place a try again, thinking I must have misread the situation, the same thing happens again. This man is so unhappy and makes sue his patrons are too. Disappointed because I used to love this place. It's a shame that people think they can be rude because they pour drinks for money. read more
