It was great weather this night, so we opted for an outside table that was in total shade. Very comfortable. Our server came by for drink orders. We had no appetizers this visit and went right into entrees. We tried the Port City Burger, the Gnocchi with chicken, cilantro lime shrimp quesadillas and the salmon tacos. Everything was delicious. The only complaint I would have is that the Salmon Tacos was a bit small. The dish is two small tacos with a side of tortilla chips. There is no salsa, no pico de gallo, no slaw. I was actually sorry that I didn't get an appetizer. I was still a little hungry after I finished. We didn't want any of the dessert offered this time. Again, everything was great. Service, food, atmosphere, outside patio. Just my dish was a little less in size. I will keep that in mind next time we visit. I'm not sure something like this would be changed on the menu, but I still wanted to voice my opinion. Still a great place with a great menu and service. If the weather is good, opt for the patio. The gentleman we spoke with was also very knowledgeable about the beer offerings and helped guide us. They have a great little play area out front so they're very family friendly. To get a beer or wine, be patient. It's a bustling bar and they'll get to you! I'm not a big beer drinker but I tried 2 on my friend's suggestion. We used the QR code to order from the food truck. We got the hand tossed because the kids would like it better. They're located right there on the main drag as you enter Southport which is great for a pit stop on the way in or on the way out of town. The service is walk up which keeps it super casual and fun. I have been here 3 or 4 times and there has never been a food truck when I've been but they have awesome snacks available behind the bar. For just $1 a cup, you can get goldfish, animal crackers, pretzels, and those delicious little peanut butter filled pretzels. I wish the outdoor area was more interesting but that's my only complaint.
