I wouldn't consider myself a donut connoisseur, but these were the best donuts I ever had...or rather they were better than anything I've had at Dunkin' Donuts or Krispy Kreme (I always lean toward K.K. as my go-to donut place). Although their donuts are amazingly the best, management should give more incentives for people to work and stay. On busy hours, I feel bad for the one staff to be running around taking orders then preparing the donuts and then getting yelled at by nasty entitled customers. Your box says, "we're growing". I didn't know this was a chain, but I'm glad they've expanded and opened a location in Bergen County! I don't really get donuts, but I'll definitely be coming back. I went on a Sunday around 2 PM, and the store as semi-packed (maybe about 10 people?), considering it's still a new opening. We didn't have to wait that long, which was nice. Staff was friendly and they seem efficient, although some of them looked young and unexperienced (I saw a few drizzle chocolate icing all over the side of the box). This time, we tried the sunrise and strawberry sprinkle (my go to for judging donut spots). I definitely was more of a fan of the strawberry; the sunrise was a little sugary for my tastes but still good. The donuts are SUPER fresh and still warm - but here's a tip: I liked them more if you let them sit for 10-15 minutes. They're really gooey if you eat them right away, which might be some people's preferences, but I think they're even better if you give them some time to rest. Waited on line on opening day with some close friends. The wait ended up being 45 mins to get into the building. We were greeted right before we got in by an associate that gave us the rundown on how the whole process works out. We entered and I ordered a dozen of a bit of everything I wanted. We were then ushered outside so that other patrons could order. The box of donuts was $20+ which was a little hard to swallow. After getting them by an associate calling out numbers outside the doors, I waited for the rest of my group to get theirs and we went in for a first bite in unison. I went with the Donut with Bacon and caramel over it and we all were in donut heaven people! Best one I have had hands down. The base is honestly the best part of each donut. So sweet, soft and an amazing texture to chow down on with some coffee. Although the prices are high for this donuts I think it's a blessing in disguise because if they were any cheaper I'd be there every week. The service and people all there were pleasant and worked hastily hand making each marvelous creation and the whole experience was worth it. Hopefully it has died down with the lines and you can go out there and experience an outstanding quality donut and see what everyone is freaking out on. I had to get my Second Covid vaccine at Valley in Paramus today so I decided to treat myself afterward. I've been to Duck Donuts twice before once in Florida and once over the summer at the original. If you have not been, the concept is the donuts are made to order. There are many donuts to choose from and also seasonal ones. I went with the Cheesecake Assortment. They only have cake donuts and usually only vanilla (Chocolate is available now for Mother's Day). The donuts are made fresh, topped, and are handed to you warm, which can make for a messy eat. It's really something to bite into a warm donut. What's also unique is you'll never get the same donut twice because each person adds different amounts of toppings. It's not even their fault either because they're trying to pour melted chocolate or sprinkles or Oreos or graham crackers etc onto the donuts. I loved how much cherry topping I received on this batch. The last mention was a request from my wife, she saw that Stew Leonard's made a Chocolate Easter Bunny milk so I had to get it. It tastes like melted chocolate ice cream, I don't know if it's a good or bad thing. Went perfect with the donuts though. read more

Went today with my two daughters, three and five years old, and we ordered a few donuts and surprisingly my little one told me that something is hurting her tongue, I opened the donut and noticed two hard long pieces of unknown object were fried in the batter, it seemed to be wood splinters. I right away told the girl at the counter, she wasn't worried at all... her answer was "this is from the boxes" ...are you kidding me ?! Cardboard inside the batter, really?! ... she wasn't worried at all and told just told us " you want another one?" I replied politely that this should be taken as a Very serious matter ( throwing the batter away, cleaning all utensils, etc...) nothing seemed to worry them. Another guest came in with a child and they were served the same batter. Anyway, my daughter have a reddish spot on her tongue because of the incident. It is so sad that workers don't care more about food safety. read more

I was so excited when I found out they opened a Duck Donuts in Paramus. These are the best donuts I've ever had - lighter and airier than Glaze with just the right amount of toppings and drizzles added without overpowering the donut and making it way too sweet. You actually don't feel like a heifer after eating a couple! Although I wouldn't recommend getting them everyday, just as a treat once in awhile. They're always made to order and warm. You can choose from the already designed options or create your own, adding or removing any toppings. The breakfast sandwiches are also yummy. I had the bacon egg and cheese on a plain donut and it's very tasty if you enjoy the sweet and savory flavor combination. Their maple glazed bacon donut is my favorite. You can also buy cute little rubber duckies. I heard there were long lines when it first opened but when I went on a Friday morning around 11a there was only one other person there. read more

Whoever was working today did an awesome job! Not sure of her name, but the lady making the donuts was extremely diligent and kind. Some other customers came in and were being extremely rude to her, saying things like "You should be smiling. It's Christmas.", but she kept her composure and did an excellent job. I was so excited when they first opened. But i want to mention the excellent service there. I forgot to ask for oatmilk in my coffee and when i mentioned it to the barista if they could change it, they gave it to me free of charge. When they made my sandwich, they made it with extra care unlike other fast food places (even offered me a free maple drizzle). Their doughnuts are always fresh and super tasty. This just sealed the deal and I'll always go back now. read more

Not sure what all the hype is about this place. The donuts are served warm so by the time they put your topping on, they're melted and turns into a runny mess. Not that great, bit oily for my taste. Tried this place for the first time. Honestly, the donuts were absolutely delicious. My problem is the area where the donuts are frosted and dressed. The area is a complete mess!! Since I was there first thing in the morning, there was no reason for the front counter to look like it wasn't cleaned since the night before. Whoa. These donuts are crazy, crazy good. Unlike any other donuts I've ever had. They're served warm (fried in front of your eyes), with toppings that sort of melt on the warm donut. The donut itself is super cakey yet light, and that texture is what's so unusual about these donuts. read more
