For as long as I can remember my family and I have visited this restaurant and had looked forward to out weekly visits. So, what I write below brings me NO pleasure. But, this place has changed and not for the better - I need to share why: Over the last couple of years the consistency in their food has gone from five stars to 1 for us and today was the last time we will ever go back and here is why: Service: Most of the people working there neither smile or greet you like they used to (even when the place is empty), they shove your plates at you across the counter and disappear. They girl (younger) seems to not comprehend the idea of focusing on taking the order and you have to repeat it over and over (it's still came out wrong - even when there is no customers?). Food: I loved their burger and fries - 3 time I have gone this month (busy, medium busy and no customers at different times in the day.) and all three times it has NOT been even close to what it was. For example: The hamburger meat falls apart the minute you bite into it, the bun is soaking wet with grease, the cheese causes everything to slide off (should you choose lettuce, tomato and etc). It actually becomes more like an accidental deconstructed hamburger than a real burger. The French Fries! They were awful: Burnt and the stale tasting (the oil was so old tasting - I almost threw up.) The fries also were hard as a rock! I have no idea what has caused the decline in portion size, flavors and overall cooking at this restaurant - but it is heartbreaking in a small town who seemed to spend time and money at this place. I would not recommend this place right now... Maybe they will fix the problem soon. I really hope they do. read more

What a throwback to my childhood! I can almost hear Jack and Dianne eating a chili dog outside, that's the vibe! The food was very good the service was great. Had a half pounder and my wife had a cheeseburger deluxe. All the fixings. I had perfectly cooked onion rings and my wife had corn nuggets. Gotta love a little divey restaurant! They are known for their burgers which everyone says are so good. My friends had the deluxe burger with bacon and cheese and it was a hit. They have chicken and fish sandwiches, both are super tasty. We love their sweet potato fries and tater tots too. On Tuesday and Thursday they serve a taco salad over Doritos which is really good as well. Their prices are so good and they have inside and outside seating. The service is on point and attentive to your order. They have a great variety on their menu, this place is worth a try. Support local owned businesses and give them a try! read more

I was transported back to a small place we visited as a kid called the Dairy Cup. The old style walk up to a window and order type place with diner food. The order took about 15 minutes which is fine cause they cook everything to order. The food was great. I had the cheeseburger and it was fried on the griddle to perfection with the right amount of seasoning. Wifey had the chicken salad sandwich and it was made in house with all the right components, chicken, egg, sweet pickles and seasoning. Friends had the ham and cheese and said it was good, it looked good. I gave it only 4 stars because it needs a niche but a 5 on flavor. read more

The staff actually seem happy working here, which is nice and also unusual in food service. The food is good, too; Duck's definitely has the most varied menu in Manchester. My favorites are the fried catfish and fried mushrooms. The burgers are pretty good, too. The only real con is that the dining room seating is hard, cold Formica, but, the porch seating is pleasant enough when it's not too hot or too cold out. read more

Hamburger joint but fast and good if you like old fashioned burgers & slaw hotdogs. Bbq, fish, chili, fries, and fried chicken salad, etc are also on the menu. You may eat in or on the porch. Much better than the McDonalds in Manchester. read more

The food here is great. Much better than the other options for burgers in the area. Just know, they are not a fast food restaurant so do not expect it to be fast. If they tell you 15 minutes, expect it to take 30. Great burgers and clean restaurant. read more

Horrible cheeseburger. Meat was hard and overcooked and order was screwed up- no pickles, other condiments wrong.

If you're looking for a pretentious burger this is not the place. However if you are looking for a good burger you won't be disappointed. I had the deluxe which was well prepared and had great flavor. My wife had the ham & cheese which was very good. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is their tator tots and onion rings are basic frozen food items. I think some good homemade onion rings would have complemented the burger quite nicely. read more

Hello I was working in town(from Atlanta) and I always like to try the local flavor when I'm working. The business that I was working suggested this establishment and their was either the 1/2 lb hamburger or the hamburger steak plate. Since it was earlier in the day opted for lunch type fair- hamburger, fries and drink. The business is plan and down to their business which serving good food and fast. They do lunch and dinner I'll certainly be back for another try. Can't wait to bring wife we both like trying new and different places. read more

Excellent burgers actually patted out and made fresh. French fries usually hot and crisp. Good grilled chicken sandwich. My husband's favorite is the country fried steak sandwich. If you want to add bacon, expect it to be fried crisp, not soggy! My favorite place for a burger. read more

My kid loves the grill cheese sandwiches and fries. I have tried a BLT and the bacon must have been prepped earlier because it was cold and not fresh. Very dry sandwich. Then another visit I tried the chilli dog. Chilli was very greasy and the hotdogs was apparently low quality. The skin was coming loose from the dog. I am hoping for some changes in the quality of products since my kid likes to eat here. read more

First time eating here. Was in town with relatives and all four of us enjoyed the meal. I had the BLT it was a nice portion of bacon. Could've been cooked a little more done for me but it was very good. My mom had the grilled chicken sandwich which was juicy and flavorful. The sweet potato fries where great as well as the BBQ sandwich. If anything I would say there's a little wait but it was a Friday night so that's to be expected. Overall I would return. read more

I would say the Duck's Trolley is an icon of the Manchester Georgia burger scene. They offer a variety of food with many tasty sides. I always get the half pounder with cheese. This is a very decadent burger that is right on the money every time! It is hard to beat quality and consistency! As for a side I would recommend the corn nuggets! This place is the small town restaurant every town should have! I've been here on three separate occasions. The BEST chicken strips I've ever had! Same goes for the cheese burgers! And then the hamburger steak is what I ate last time. Can't remember if it was my favorite, but I definitely finished the entire meal no problem! My favorite place in Manchester. Duck's Trolley is one of the few places you can go where the people behind the counter know who you are, usually by name, and we don't even live in Manchester! I was afraid the service and overall friendliness would change when it appeared that they switched owners, but the service is still wonderful and although they don't quite know us by name, they still recognize us and are very friendly. The food is awesome! We are creatures of habit and usually order the same thing. Maybe that's why we sometimes get, "This is ______, right?" when we call to place our order. I usually get either a cheeseburger or a slaw dog, my husband will get the double half pounder with cheese. My kids will get a hot dog and grilled cheese sandwich, or occasionally a chicken basket. Then we all get fries. All of it is great. Plus, the lemonade and sweet tea are crave-worthy! Just thinking about it, I want to go get some! My husband grew up in a nearby town and has gone to Duck's pretty much his entire life. I grew up in Columbus and never even heard of Duck's until my husband and I started dating. It quickly became a place I craved. We plan to continue to be faithful Duck's customers for many years to come. read more
