We were in the area and stopped in for a bite and a brew. It is a very cool place. An old building with a great vibe to it. We were immediately greeted as we walked in and were seated right away. Our server was fantastic! She was super friendly and extremely helpful with a number of recommendations. I started with the Old Yeller (Wheat Beer). I thought it was okay, I thought about going for Sour, but decided to go with the Wheat Beer. For my entree a went with our server's recommendation and got the Shrimp and Grits. Wow, it was great. The grits were a great consistency and the overall dish had outstanding flavor. I added a side of the Onion Rings, in house batters and cooked perfectly. The dipping sauce was a great Chipotle Ranch. Great space, almost like a maze with hidden rooms. When we walked in, I thought it was just the dining room and the bar however, when I went to explore, I found this really cool taproom hidden down a walkway past where the brewery is located. The taproom was full of people. There's a pool table, TV and a nice bar. However, because we were only there to eat we didn't explore sitting anywhere else, but the dining room. The outside deck was really inviting with a pergola and lights over the top and cozy to sit outside. Our hostess and server couldn't have been any nicer. My husband and I each had a beer and ordered the Philly cheesesteak to split, sweet potato fries, and a side salad. Unfortunately, the Philly cheesesteak was pretty small, tasty, but too small for sharing, which was disappointing. I was hoping for something bigger however, the roll that it came on was so soft and fresh and the Philly cheesesteak was good, but it didn't have the cheese whiz on it I'm used to eating with a usual Philly cheesesteak. The sweet potato fries were soggy however it being the end of the night I couldn't expect a miracle so that's OK, I'm not holding that against them. What's wrong with Fox City Brewing? Nothing! Whether you're a local looking for a night out or an I-75 traveler needing a break from traffic, this well kept secret in Forsyth is more than worth seeking out. Looking for a rare burger lunch we jumped at a chance to try the "Fox Den", and in a moment of complete insanity went with the double (instead of a triple!). Stacked on a traditional tall burger bun, the sandwich was delivered quickly. Hot and very juicy with Swiss cheese and caramelized onions, it was just flat good! The sidewinder fries are thick with a crisp exterior and baked potato interior. This taproom setting has a unique brick interior with patio seating. Service is fast and the Tracy was friendly and efficient. Cold beer brewed in house and unique hand crafted margaritas rounded out the meal. Wish we lived in Forsyth but we'll definitely remember if we're passing through again. Parking might be an issue particularly on busy days but it's not a game changer. read more

We were driving home from Atlanta to Jacksonville around dinner time last night and saw a billboard for this place on the way. We decided to give it a try and it ended up being a pretty good meal. It is both a Distillery and a restaurant, and is a little rustic. The menu offers plenty of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches and entrees. I went with the classic smashburger and fries. It was tasty. They also offer a double patty which I would probably get the next time. My husband had the cheesesteak with onion rings as his side. Stopped for dinner on our drive to Savannah and found this gem of a spot by chance. Didn't want fast food but we knew we wanted something satisfying, like a burger, and Fox City Brewing Co. was the perfect choice. We were concerned that arriving at 7pm we'd have to wait for a table but the place is actually larger inside than we expected and we were seated right away. Had we not had a few hours drive ahead of us, we would have lingered longer and found out more about the place as well as the town. It is situated off, what seems like a Main Street, raised up on a cool deck. I can only imagine the crowds and music under the lights on that deck. Some fun times I'm sure. Dana was our server and was so sweet and patient while we asked several questions. We chose a build your own burger and a blackened smash burger. One of us also chose the Mac-n-cheese side and the other, fingerling potatoes. Both burgers came out hot and juicy and all the accompaniments were crisp and fresh. The serving size was generous and the stand out surprise was the fingerling potatoes. Cooked perfectly and so flavorful! I enjoyed it more than the Mac-n-cheese, if I'm being completely honest. I was pleasantly surprised that our meals with two drinks (no alcoholic) the bill was under $35.00. Hard to find such quality food and service for that price these days. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the weather before we returned to the cold which was another great treat! The billboards don't lie - Fox City brewing was a wonderful experience! While heading down the highway, we saw billboards for Fox City brewing, and it seemed like a better idea than standard fast food. We stopped by, parked on the main street just off Kimball Street, and popped in. There was available seating outside or inside, we sat inside where the air conditioning was strong. Our server, Annie came over quickly and set us up with a couple of iced teas. We then got the classic smashburger and a cheese steak which we're both excellent. We also got a drink to go. All of this came at a price averaging about $20 per person which is a wonderful value overall. If I'm in the Forsyth area again, I would definitely return to Fox City brewing. read more

Went to Fox City Brewing . Small brewery. There were empty tables but the host said it would be about 10 - 15 minute wait. It was. I ordered the smash burger with sautéed onions and mushrooms. It was good , nothing to write home about. Fries were different but good. Similar to steak fries. My son ordered his medium but came out well done. I would go back and give it a try again. Great find in Forsyth. Good beer, I tried the Pilsner and the gumbo. Excellent bar service and both the beer and gumbo were great.

This was a pleasant surprise! Not many brewery's have excellent food but this one is fantastic! I had the shrimp platter, grilled. My side was the vegetables which were broccoli and carrots. They were grilled as well and were very good. My husband had the smash burger and their unique fries. Shaped like a moon and fat. He also said the brown winter ale was fantastic. This is a great place if you're driving by on 75 or if you're staying overnight. We will definitely come back!! This town has a lot of history and I'd love to spend more time here. read more

If you are visiting this place, you can park in the nearby parking lot, it is well marked, and they will give you a validation ticket. There is also free street parking available within a reasonable walking distance. This is a nice rustic spot with some good scenery. This place has a lot of seating options. They have some picnic tables, a few of which have umbrellas, on the patio on the deck out front. You will find an enclosed patio on the side of the brewery and a large dining area that has two sections. With all of those options, the place was kind of busy and people had to wait on a seat. We just decided to sit on the patio out front and eat. The staff there. is very friendly, welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. The manger Nate and our server Ainsley were both awesome. They do not have a beer menu, it is written on the board inside. They do have some savory signature cocktails. As for food, they serve you typical favorites like wings, onion rings, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, chicken tenders, catfish, shrimp and grits, tacos , and salmon. They also have a kids menu. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich with a side of onion rings. The littles got a grilled cheese sandwich with mac & cheese. It took about 15 minutes for us to get our food. It was "OK". I have had better. First, the grilled cheese was not grilled (see pics). My sandwich did not have much flavor to it and the onion rings were a bit hard and overcooked. It was edible, but not something I would eat again. Before you leave, make sure to get a validation ticket for parking if you drove there. This spot has awesome customer service and a cool vibe. I just wish the food was a bit better. I really had high hopes for this place and would definitely try this place again, because the service was that good. I would just try something else from the menu. A 3.5 star rating would be more appropriate, but that is not an option, so I went with the 3 because I though the place was closer to that. read more

Perfect place for lunch, especially when the weather is nice! Our dog absolutely loved this brewery / the outdoor patio was enclosed, received beautiful sunlight and the staff loved hosting him! My fiancé and I loved the beers and our sandwiches (shrimp po boy for me and burger for him). The wheat beers were very tasty, the staff was incredibly sweet (Pax says thank you), and we were thrilled we took a break from our road trip to check out this gem! HUGE indoor section too. What a great find! It leas than one mile off I-75. The food is high quality. My husband had excellent gumbo, it was so delicious he felt guilty not sharing a bite. He said it was some of the best gumbo he has ever had. I had a very good blackened shrimp poor boy. I also had a Bloody Bob Red Ale. I usually drink IPAs but after having a sample of it, I had to have it. Service is very good and it has a cool industrial vibe. read more
