We met friends here for dinner and had a great time. We stayed in our booth longer than we would have normally since we had not seen our friends in years and were catching up. We never were rushed and really enjoyed ourselves. The food was very good and they have a full bar and good selection of specialty beers. I had the roast chicken breast and my wife had the salmon. She said it was the best she had ever eaten. Each meal comes with a generous portion of two side items from a wide selection. Our server (Brandon) was spot on all night, even though the restaurant was full the servers did not neglect their tables. Refills for drinks and visits to check on the food and guests were timely. Camping at the state park and our camping club came over for dinner. The service was excellent as they seated and served all 8 of us very efficiently. We enjoyed the porch on a perfect spring day. The food, however, was a mixed bag. Several guests had Rubens and thought they were excellent. One guest had a steak and was pleased. But anything fried, including the whole catfish, catfish nuggets, fried mushrooms, etc. were overcooked and extremely greasy. I mean gease pooling in the bottom of the plate and grease running out of the fried mushrooms when you bite in. I've always seen this when the fryer grease is just not hot enough. The batter on the catfish was also EXTREMELY salty. Over the top salty. So, it's a pleasant place to eat, just choose your menu items. read more

I love the history they show in the restaurant of the railroad and its decor mimics the era. The absolute best steak I have EVER had, the potato skins app is huge!!! Food was great and the service was super attentive and friendly. She told us that they try to get all of the food from local farms and sources, including the beef. I make annual (6) trips from Florida to hike the Pine Mountain Trail and the Iron Horse Grill is one restaurant I have always enjoy eating at. Good draft beer selection and their wings have been spot on every time I've been there. I ask them to make mine well done and they're always consistent. I'll be back there soon. read more

It's a casual place perfect for casual or date night. My husband and I dined here for dinner. We tried rib eye with mashed potato, honey black jack burger with sweet potato fries, and their peanut butter pie for dessert. Everything was excellent. Server was super friendly and kind. The food was o.k. It was definitely not great. The burgers are way-over-priced. I ordered cole slaw side but it failed to show up with the meal. I had to flag the server down to get it. The cole slaw was terrible. It was totally dry and appeared to be just like shredded newspaper. Not good. I could not choke it down and after four bites, left it. Waste of money. So, if you are desperate, eat here. If not, drive 3/4 of a mile to a good BBQ place or Burger King. I've been to this place twice and it is not impressive. I like to write good reviews but this place definitely does not deserve one unfortunately. read more

Came here after a morning of exploring the area. Was busy when we arrived around 1:30, but we wanted to try it. So glad we did. It's cozy in the bar/dining room, and we wanted to sit on the covered porch but it was full with a special event. We saw a lot of interactions between staff and what might be locals/regulars, which is nice. We each tried something different (I didn't get photos of it all): Chicken salad on a bed of greens, side of seafood stew Reuben with fries Patty Melt with onion rings Greek burger with fries All of it was generous portions, and delicious. I would recommend any of it, but you might want to split an entree if you're in the mood for dessert (we had zero room for that but they sounded good). The salad dressing is house made, and we were glad to find a fun local place for a good burger. Please do not part-take in this restaurant!! They are rude and only out for the money. They say they do not take reservations, yet they have reserved tables. We have been here for 11/2 hours and still can not get a table! And there are available tables!! Please find a nicer owner and staff to give your money too. Dropped in for lunch today right at noon on a Saturday. The gal that served us is clearly a veteran here. So very pleasant and helpful. I had a draft IPA that she recommended and my wife had a glass of Chardonnay of unknown origin as we did not ask. Both were quite enjoyable. We ordered the Ruben with onion rings to share. The order came out separately plated from the kitchen with an ample servings of onion rings on each plate. Class touch for a restaurant. Both the Ruben and onion rings were A+. Very, very good. We each finished just half of a half sandwich taking the other halves home for supper. The tab came to $25. I asked our server if she was sure this was correct. Just $25?? Wowzer. What a bargain. Great restaurant in the cute town of Pine mountain Georgia. We had to wait about 30 mins for a table for 4 on a Saturday night but there was excellent live music so we were able to enjoy that while we waited. We sat in the indoor dining room. They have a large outdoor patio seating area and the bar and main dining room are inside. I started with a local IPA, Chance IPA by Wild Leap Brewing, this was a fantastic IPA, very well balanced and smooth, just enough hops. We had the chicken and waffles and French dip with friend green tomatoes. Both were very good with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors. Service was great, our server worked hard to ensure we had a great experience. There's parking in the shopping center where the restaurant is located. Definitely recommend if you are in this area. read more

I had the special fried avocado tacos but I added steak me the side of fried corn on the cob on top and I thought I was in Mexico! Delicious! Excellent grouper! We got grilled. Squash was great! Fresh salad- we got honey mustard dressing. My wife got the chicken tenders, ( too many for her to eat) Salad and green beans. Best green beans ever! Tender and cooked just right. My brother's wife also got the broiled grouper and squash, but she got asparagus instead of salad. She said it was cooked perfectly- not to crisp and not too mushy. My brother got the shrimp and some of the delicious squash. He said the slaw was so-so. The service was great!
