Then they will tell you that must come in THAT day or you aren't guaranteed the correct vests reordered (because they ordered the wrong ones in the first place). You will show up at 4:00 when they open but they will be closed (like the last 3 days you showed up at 4:00 - finding the store closed). You will text and IM, only to have someone show up at 5:15 to finally OPEN the store when they close at 6:00!!! If you enjoy extra stress on a wedding week, this is the place to go. For those 6'2" and above--not an insignificant percentage of modern American males--standard length ties will simply not do the job. The Gentry Shop (although they do have a few good long ties) will expertly lengthen a regular tie and ship it to you. The owner REFUSED to refund a dime of our money, even though nothing was rented, and no services were ever rendered. In the end we had to go about it the hard way by way of a chargeback dispute through my bank...Which we WON. Oh, and we took our business to Men's Warehouse, where they had me taken care of in about an hour, with a tux that fit great, along with amazing customer service.

It has been my go-to for formal wear, Iowa Hawkeye gear, shoes, accessories, swimwear and more over the years. But this summer they changed their return policy. I think a lot of it is pretty standard... - Return within 90 days with a receipt: Receive purchase price back to original form of payment - Return after 90 days with receipt or anytime with a gift receipt: Receive purchase price as merchandise credit only. - Return without a receipt: Receive current selling price as merchandise credit only. My issue with this change is with their new FINAL SALE policy. - They cut the tags off your brand new items to ensure you can't return them. Therefore my newly purchased, never worn item that I just so happened to score a great deal on... looks not new. Possible pre-owned. What if I planned to gift someone that item? Don't they deserve to know it hasn't been worn and is right off the rack? (Or in my case, I got a supposedly unworn bikini without any tags... which was unexpected. And kind of weirded me out.) If you need to scribble on the tag, over the barcode-- go for it. But I go to Von Maur for the experience and the unique items sold there. It is tacky and off brand to send new items sans tag. (And when I contacted customer service to express my opinion about said two piece. I was basically shrugged off.) I buy plenty of thrift items for myself and even they include a tag... just sayin. This would be a two star, just because of how I feel about the new changes. But I still stand by Von Maur as a quality store. This change may stop me from getting certain items here now.
