It felt like every camera I wanted to buy I wouldn't be able to take delivery of by the end of the year so I made some compromises in order to get something from these guys. Even after being told my cameras should ship they were delayed and I missed deadline after deadline. At one point I even had to have them redirect my shipments to the 4 Seasons where I was staying on holiday in an attempt to actually take delivery of what I bought and they still didn't deliver. Incomplete shipments, incorrect shipments, and here I am months later and I'm still dealing with trying to solve an order from December. The only star I can give to the folks at Abel was in their support department. The guy they had me working with, Jason, did help me put together the package I wanted even if I couldn't actually get what he was telling me to buy. He had a fast response time even if every time I talked to the guy he was telling me things were delayed or he flat out didn't have them in the warehouse. I honestly don't know how this place does business since they never seem to have anything on the shelf and then after almost three months awaiting a lens that I tell them I don't want anymore they try to tell me that I have to keep it.

I contacted them by phone to find out if the trip to Hollywood would make any sense. Jim was very help full through the phone, answering our questions accordingly, without getting frustrated. We decided to get on the road, so our XL1 would be operational again. At location, Jim was again very help full, and went out of his way to check our XL1 on any damages and what not. We found out that only the battery needed to be replaced. Jim gave us some additional tips and we left the store with a new battery and plan to come back to pick up some other stuff for the camera. This business doesn't seem to have experience with printing regular photos in standard photo sizes, and I wish they just refused to take my order instead of wasting my time & money. For context, I was shown proofs before printing and several of the photos were distorted to fit the dimensions of the print. When I asked if they could just crop it to avoid the distortion, they seemed to struggle to figure out how to do that. I was there for a total of 45 minutes, and I ended up with only 4 or 5 prints because they did not know how to fix the issue. Granted the prints came out well, but I probably spent double or triple the price for what I would've gotten at a FedEx without the convenience or speed. I honestly should've just walked away but didn't want to walk out empty handed for the time I spent waiting. Now I regret paying full price for subpar service and a disappointingly incomplete order.

I personally hand-delivered and viewed the work of this duplication house for several months as I used them to duplicate betacam tape to both DVCAM and DVD. I brought approximately 8 jobs to them and over half of them they did incorrectly and I had to return and have them do it over again. For example, no audio on a duplication of a concert! The final error on their part resulted in the missing of an on-air deadline and that resulted in the end of my relationship with this business. This was my personal experience and is not "heresay". It is my professional opinion that this business, which performed less than half of the duplication jobs I requested correctly, is incompetent and I would not recommend them.

One Stop's cameras are not the most pristine compared to other shops. Otherwise, I know they'd charge more. There's a new cam shop in The Grove, where the money was invested in refurbishing the cameras so their prices reflects that. If you're planning on being a customer, inquire about their cameras and see how they act. Don't let any business treat you like they're doing YOU a favor.
