Went to have something simple on a Friday Night and the South Stuart Duffy's;s was near empty. Uh-oh. Looked at the new menus and they looked newly redesigned. My wife opted for the Shrimp Tacos and there followed some detailed guidance from our waiter Daniel M. explaining the specifics of the different available sauces ( my spouse is very careful re this subject ) , and when the tacos were served, his advice turned out to be spot on. Home run for that dinner. I had ordered the Grilled Chicken sandwich which was absolutely full of a thick hunk of chicken breast, bacon, tomato, lettuce, cheese and had a separate serving of additional sauce from the one already in the sandwich. Forgot to mention the Broccoli/cheddar soup to start, which was just really well balanced and delicioso. My experience at the Stuart South Duffy's has always been wonderful. I'm writing to express my disappointment with Duffy's new corporate management and the elimination of 2 for 1 drink prices. The corporate email included the pitch " We've been listening closely to what our MVPs have been telling us, and one thing we heard loud and clear was that you want great drinks at great prices - without having to buy two to enjoy one." Clever marketing but what a bunch of horse-sh#t!! You could always buy just one drink at Duffy's and it costs less than the two drink special. Honestly - with so many good restaurants in the area - the ONLY distinguishing special that drew us to Duffy's was the 2 for 1 special. Not sure if across all Duffy's or just this one, but to do away with the one thing that draws the majority of your business, I think I would be looking to make cuts in other areas. We have been to this Duffy's many times over the years. Most of the time the food is pretty decent and the service is pretty good. My husband likes to come here to watch the soccer games that we can't get at home. I decided to join him this time and was super excited about the chicken nachos that are new to their menu. Ordering nachos out at restaurants is one of my favorite things to get. The chips were super crispy and perfect and all the toppings are exactly my favorites all piled high on top. It should've been delicious, but it was coated in way, way too much salt. I still tried to enjoy it and eat as much as I could, but after a while I just could not. Other than that, my husband got the shrimp tacos and was happy with those. I do love they have the two for one drinks every day all day. I ordered a summer watermelon. Margarita that was very good. Our server did a great job and was very attentive, but my husband was frustrated because he had called ahead of time to make sure the soccer game he wanted was going to be on. When we arrived, that is the first thing he asked for was to get the channel changed to show the game. It took over 15 minutes and we had to ask 4 different people before someone finally stopped what they were doing to help with the TV. Then about halfway through the game, someone changed the channel and it took another 15 minutes and more than one request to get them to change the channel back. The server came out with plates, and one of them had leftover food on it. By the time the pretzel came out everybody finished eating the chips and dip. After a day at the beach and a walk through the town, my cousin and I thought it would be nice to eat outside to people watch and enjoy the perfect weather. We were seated right away. The hostess didn't notice the guests below the table. There were food scraps left under the table and a swarm of ants. We moved ourselves to a different table. Problem solved. I ordered the corned beef sandwich and coleslaw. Maybe they make corned beef extra dry in Florida and if so, this was spot on but I was expecting something a lot more juicy. I was hungry so I didn't complain. Some days you go to the restaurant just for the ambiance. It was really nice out, we were hungry and we got outside seating. Went to Duffy's at the South South Stuart location with some friends from work and I saw in the menu that they had a Smashburger and I love Smash Burgers so I thought I'd give it a try. When I received what they are calling a Smashburger looked like just a quarter pounder with cheese burger from McDonald's. I don't see what they are calling smashed. Somebody needs to try again. Ordered plain wings for take out a month or so ago. Wings looked awesome. Got home and tried one. I have no words to describe how they tasted. Let us say that they didn't taste like any chicken I have had ever. I can't describe the unbelievably horrible taste, but I immediately threw them in the trash. I have no memory of ever having tasted anything as awful as they were. I wrote a normal note to corporate explaining the situation and listed the Federal Highway location. Not only did they not reply to my note, but I have never heard either from the location or corporate. Whatever you do, don't order plain wings from this location. As for their other food, you are on your own. As to their behavior towards a defrauded customer, silence is golden, I guess. Went here for dinner last night, very disappointed! We've been going here since they first opened. They are EVIDENTLY VERY SHORT STAFFED. After some wait we were able to fist in bar area, shared a table with another couple in the bar area. They were dozens of empty tables but evidently not enough staff to wait on them. Our server Kirstea from the bar did a great job. Our dinners were delivered, I think mine was the only one, Tex mex egg rolls were not hot but after a LONG wait for them, ate them at room temp. But what floored me was the waitress said 2 for one drafts and bottles. I don't drink but like "0" Heineken she said yes that was included. I had one and wasn't going to have a second. When I got the bill it was $10.75 for the "0" WHAT???? That's BS! So they charge $10.75 for one zero after lunch time? I don't think so. This review is about the Stuart location, just south of Cove rd. After a long day of traveling home, we ran out for dinner. The first clue - the parking lot was not full - during peak snowbird time the lot should have been packed!! The service was nothing special. The prices are sky high. And the burger may have been ok if they cooked it. Order a Burger medium - the center was cool to the touch after cutting it in half. Just GOD awful. Avoid Duffy's all together. Worst dining experience ever....or I should say non-dining. Went for lunch and waited for a hostess to greet us for over 5 minutes. After being greeted we were told they had to clean the table, even though there were 20+ clean and empty tables already available. About two minutes later we were sat. Then the shit show began. All I ask from a sports bar, is to have my game on the TV. I'm not talking about go kart racing in Amsterdam (they had that on!), I'm talking about post season baseball. A pretty common thing for someone to want to watch in October, right? Not unreasonable? We arrived just before 7:30, Yankees/Cleveland set to start at 7:37. The Houston/Seattle game was still on. There are probably 50 TV's in the whole place. All manner of sports are on, football, hockey, baseball, golf, probably basketball somewhere, the aforementioned soap box derby.... Houston game goes to extra innings so I ask server #1 if they can change the channel. He says sure, let me get my manager to change it. When I catch him walking by a few minutes later he says manager says the channel will automatically start carrying the game once Houston is over. TBS has a banner running saying Yankee game will instead be shown on TNT (because obviously they aren't going to cut away from an extra inning, post season game!!!) so I tell him that it's in extra innings and it's now on TNT. He nods and walks away. Then server #2 brings out food/drinks and I ask him if they can change the channel. He says the same thing, it will change once this game is over. Well it's now the 12th inning! At this point my husband are I are just watching our phones. This is ridiculous! I explain that it's in extra innings and he says something about they don't get all the channels. WTH? TNT carries plenty of sports. Ever watch March madness? Finally our bill comes and we have missed Judges HR in the 3rd! We left when we wrapped up the 4th inning and Houston was still scoreless in the 14th, unable to watch a single pitch in the Cleveland/Yankee game. But it was fascinating watching home videos of people falling of water slides on Chive TV. In fact some TV screens were black as they didn't have enough sports to watch! ‍ We will never return. Food was typical sports bar - passable, drinks were mediocre also. Obviously we weren't there for food, and apparently we weren't there for sports either. Nope, never again. Plenty of other sports bars in the area. I don't blame the servers, but the manager. Pretty poor managing for a Saturday night.
