You do have to walk across the indoor bridge to get there unless you valet park. They charge $2 an hour for parking. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Everything is done with an arm bracelet for things such as lab or testing. I had an appointment with neuromuscular department. The physicians and therapists are excellent. They're very thorough and up to date on current medicines and trials. The EMG center is in the same clinic so it's super convenient. Being part of the Duke portal is convenient for Atrium Wake Forest and Cone Health because all testing is visible and they can also see visit notes from the doctors. It makes it possible to see providers from different networks and not having to bring in or sign for your records to be shared. The facility is massive and the color system makes it easy to find your way. There are several labs so you don't have to walk a mile to get to one. Most walk in tests can accommodate with minimal waiting. It's about a quarter mile walk from the parking garage to the clinics so wear comfy shoes or walking device. You will have a lot of walking to do and there's limited seating in the main corridors.

They have TVs, comfortable furniture, gender neutral bathrooms, vending machines and a free coffee bar espresso station. It's as comfortable as possible in the surgery waiting area as a hospital can provide and the receptionist was very friendly. There was even a kind volunteer that walked around and introduced herself to us and let us know she was there if we needed anything. Overall, positive experience.

The second time was for a CT scan for my wife, and that was relatively quick, even though it was a very long distance from the front entrance. I guess there is a side entrance for outpatient services but nobody mentioned that to us. The third time was an ER visit for my wife. Upon checking in, they got her vitals but then it was several hours before we were called back. The PA who saw us was very professional, but it was odd to have so many different nurses and techs provide services from IV, to x-ray, to labs. They were professional, but again I'm not a fan of so much waiting around. Also, the treatment area was not private at all, basically hospital beds and chairs separated by curtains. We could hear the details of the patients all around us and I suppose they could hear us. More privacy would be appreciated.

Not knowing exactly what to expect a little anxiety- the team allayed the anxiety in a professional caring way. The pool & pool area is set up for an individual's success - my success included. Functional clean private changing & shower areas available by choice.There's a ramp with rails going into the pool with the therapist & team right with me.I noticed places in the pool to sit if you get too tired.I give awesome praise to the therapist & 2 students that worked with me. I felt safe & was able to do my tasks the best I could.The therapist gave me clear concise guidance going forward.Just awesome medical care!!

It's now obscured from a lot of greenery and shrubbery but once you turn into the winding paved path way - the location is a beautifully crafted building remindful of the older Duke bricks and newer bricks building.Uniquely designed - there is a drop off entrance for accessibility with automatic door openers. I was put on an antibiotic for a chronic cough with no X-ray and the antibiotic had a black box warning and I became very ill. It wasn't worth $165 a month and I won't go back.
