Ah, Dulce Romero. Came for a cold IPA and a taro. stayed for the emotional rollercoaster that was Silvia, the visual artist - and Pillow Thief of La Paz. There I was--IPA in hand, vibing to music so good I considered quitting my job to become a playlist curator. Life was good... until Silvia strutted in like she owned the place. She locked eyes with my bench pillow--and within seconds, it was gone. Poof. Like a stylish, middle-aged magician fueled by tea and audacity. The taro? Mid, but it didn't steal from me. The IPA? Delicious--if only it could've warned me about Silvia. The music? Bumping--probably what distracted me during the heist. So yes, I recommend Dulce Romero. Just don't get too attached to the furniture. If Silvia's in the building, no cushion is safe. read more

I visited this coffee shop recently and was disappointed with the customer service. We ordered an espresso americano, but the waiter brought us a cappuccino instead. When we mentioned the mistake, he insisted that it was what we had ordered, even though it clearly wasn't. We decided to give it a try, but it had too much milk and wasn't what we wanted at all. When we asked to receive the correct drink, we were surprised to be charged for both coffees -- the one we didn't order and the one we actually wanted. Mistakes happen, but the way they're handled makes a big difference. In this case, the lack of acknowledgement and being charged for an error made the experience very disappointing. I hope the shop improves the way they address order issues in the future. read more

Although the food was very good, the bad service made our visit uncomfortable. We waited more than 10 minutes for a server, I finally went to the counter to place our order and was told they would be "right there". Another 5 minutes passed and I was ready to leave. The server finally showed up, we told him we need to leave in 30 minutes. He brought out the food and disappeared. After waiting, again, we went to the counter to pay and were told the server would bring the bill. After another 10 minute wait, I left the restaurant and went to the car, I am sitting here now, waiting, again. They obviously need more help and I would say, I won't be back, unless I want a meandering meal and bad service. read more

The smoothies were also very tasty, and there's a fresh bakery attached where you can find some really good breads, desserts and cheese pretzels. OMG, I love this bakery! I found it while riding my bike and I've fallen in love with their bread selection. I've had several loaves of their breads and have never been disappointed. The sourdough is my favorite but the selection is vast and all the ones I've tried, they were excellent! Delicious healthy breakfast. Only thing I wish the restaurants had when blending fresh juice was a vitamix blender. The juices are a little chunky but love the option of fresh healthy juice. I ordered the beet salad and the walnuts on top were a bit too sugary for my liking. Other than that, food was delicious for all three in our party. Bread was fresh. Our beet and goat cheese salad was really good and the vinaigrette just perfect. The menu has many vegetarian options and offers a wide variety for every taste. We came here because we definitely wanted to indulge in some wonderful desserts and also be supportive to local moms and papa's shops but it was definitely a big disappointment base on the customer service we received. As tourists we don't know how every establishment works but we understand we are in different circumstances so we respect the process however customer service should always be at 100% especially for newcomers!!! We won't be coming here ever again due to their lack of customer service and professionalism and I definitely will not be recommending to anyone of my friends or family members who are looking for recommendations.
