Found this sweet hidden gem while exploring the streets of San Diego in Seaport Village! Cute interior and exterior. They have such an array of sweets and chocolates like their wall of gummy bears of different flavors. This place locked a lot of memories from childhood sweets. I ended up getting a Twix ice cream bar since it's a warm day in San Diego and I was craving something extra sweet. It was a great purchase that hit the spot with speedy service. Definitely come by if you have a sweet tooth craving.

Love this candy store! For those who like candy from your childhood, this is the place! Great selection and just fun atmosphere with awesome service! It's not a candy barrel type place so don't expect that.

We go to seaport village pretty often... we like walking by the water and browsing the shops. This candy store is a must whenever we are here. They have all kinds of candy, classic, nostalgic, and also candies that are "trending"... at least my kid says they are lol. But anyways, this is the cutest little shop and aside from sugary sweets, they also have some cold drinks, toys, and other snacks. The owners are the nicest, friendliest people, it's always nice seeing them when we stop by. Definitely a small business worth checking out and supporting when hanging out at Seaport!

It's a good thing my husband accompanied me while I shopped here or else I would have gone overboard. At times my sweet tooth just overtakes my will power. This shop has a good number of novelty items and sweets from my childhood. The shop has something to offer most sweet tooth cravings. Besides candy they also sell game boards, toys, masks, drinks and ice cream bars. Location: It's located in Seaport Village, near the pond across of Wetzel's Pretzel. The pond is a great area to watch the ducks while you eat your treats. There are several benches to relax. There is also several seating areas near the bay. I'm sure this will be a must stop shop to temporarily subdue my sweet tooth time every time we are at Seaport Village.

It's a candy shop!!! What's not to love. It's located in seaport village in downtown San Diego. The cashier was very nice and validated our parking ticket for us even though we only bought a handful of snacks.

I love how they hve all those nostalgic candies and drinks! It's one of the must visit shops in seaport village! They have ice cream too! The staff is very warm and welcoming and even proactively asked me if I needed a parking validation.:) went there to get a pressed coin for my collection.

Went here during my first village to Seaport Village. It is just adorable! They do a great job of having a nice sized selection available in a small space. Got the Watermelon Sour Belts. They were definitely very sour with a strong Watermelon flavor and they tasted fresh. Basically everything I expected it to be and I'm happy about it!

This was such a fun little candy shop located at seaport village. My kids loved looking at all the varieties of pez dispensers and fun candy. I was amazed at how moderately priced everything was as well.

Great service and great personality of the gentleman working the store (owner maybe?). Their selection was great, their prices were really reasonable, store was clean and well organized. Sure, they have mainstream stuff, but even better, they had a lot of those candies that are amazing, but a little more niche. Definitely would visit again and definitely will recommend to others!

This shop is the cutest shop ever! The owners are amazing and always willing to help. The whole store is filled with delicious candy and nostalgic toys from when we grew up. Brings back so many memories. She also did most of the artwork herself which is amazing! Not only did I buy candies my daughter loved, but I made sure to get a few of my favorite candies and sodas because I couldn't resist. The owner, Jeana was so knowledgeable on her inventory and even though the whole shop was sweet surprises, she even surprised my little one with an extra piece of candy for the road. I definitely need to go back for more candy and check out the old school toys she brought into stock. Even through covid, they have tried their hardest to stay open and I give her and her family props for that. Continue to support small businesses because they truly care for their customers the most!

I had a trip planned to San Diego and looked on Tik Tok for cool places to go. I came upon The Something Sweet Shop and knew this would be one of my stops. Went by today and got a package of the pineapple sour belts. I am a HUGE fan, they are SO good!! Sour belts are my favorite and this is probably my favorite one I've tried. They're actually sour (which is a big thing for me) and taste great! Also grabbed a can of Toxic waste candy and Hot Tamales! Definitely recommend coming here if you're in town

    Cute hot wheels collection!

The hidden gem next to the little pond. What a wonderful place to pick up a little treat right next to the views of Seaport. Such a great price range in little treats! A great place to go on a date or with the kids. Even better; it's a great safe place to visit during COVID. The owner is a San Diego native & is super friendly. She is very talented and has lots of other custom creations/art work at the shop!

CANDY FOR ALL (3.75 stars)…read more All kinds of candy. Oldskool candy, newskool candy, and freaky-deaky candy. When there is a popular event happening downtown... okay; maybe that once a year event happening downtown (ComicCon) this place was packed with people for some reason even though there was nothing "ComicCon" about it. Maybe it's not the usual bar or restaurant in Gaslamp that intrigued people to come in. I went in because I simply love candy and wanted to see what they have. To my surprise... they had "a variety"... will leave that up to your imagination.

Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by the way Kyle treated me. I was there with my 5 yr old and 8 yr old children and it was upsetting that this interaction happened in front of them. I was waiting for the signing and needed directions about where to go and what to do. Instead of providing clear guidance, Kyle gave me multiple different directions and was r, which left me confused and stressed about missing the event. When I asked for clarification, his tone came across as rude and dismissive rather than helpful. What made the experience even more disappointing was that he was noticeably kind and friendly to my husband but his attitude toward me felt completely different towards me. As a customer, I expected to be treated with the same level of courtesy and respect no matter what gender. Comic-Con is already a hectic environment, and customers rely on staff to help make these special events enjoyable. Instead, this interaction added unnecessary frustration and took away from what should have been a fun family memory. After spending more than $400 and looking forward to the signing, I left feeling disappointed by the customer service. After the confusion, I spoke with the actor and got my figure signed. They acknowledged that things were confusing and said something along the lines of, "Sorry for the confusion," and explained that things were a bit weird with how everything was being handled. Their kindness and willingness to explain stood in stark contrast to the experience I had with Kyle. Although thats not the interaction I was hoping for with the actress. I would have preferred a joyful meet and greet autograph as opposed to an awkward apology from the actress, who was lovely. I hope management addresses this so future customers are treated consistently and respectfully, especially when families with young children are involved.

Customer service was a highlight. The guy helping me was super personable, gave great suggestions for drinks, and was genuinely kind, which always makes the experience better.
