This Duluth Trading Company store can be seen from the freeway, near Home Depot and Kohl's, with its own parking lot. I have never shopped at a Duluth Trading Company store before since there are none where I live in Southern California. But I have seen their commercials and advertisements and so the store itself just peaked my interest. And since I saw it while passing on the freeway, my husband and I decided to make a visit. When we walked in last Friday, a friendly employee behind the counter greeted us and welcomed us in the store. As I browsed through the store, I did notice that quality of the clothes (which looks like it would be a good fit for outdoor activities and outdoor work clothes) is pretty good and thick, yet durable material on the pants. I was also surprised to see such a large dog section that sold jackets, toys, cots, some treats and life jackets (all of which our little girl dog already has). I ended up finding a pair of pants that I liked in the clearance section, which is on the woman's side (but the clearance section sells items for both men and women, children and some dog items). I like that the dressing room women for women was self served, meaning I could just go into any of the dressing rooms, lock the door and change right away. I do not have to wait for an employee to check me in, etc. During my shopping experience, I had encountered 4 employees and all of them were very friendly and told me to hesitate to ask any of them for assistance with anything. My wife loves Duluth stuff for hiking. It is amazing quality to value. I still haven't found anything I like though. When we stopped by to shop, and pick up an item my wife bought..of course, all I could find were shirts that were 2XL ...and larger and 46 waist pants. Like maybe using some Ai modeling to have more mediums and large in stock might help? Never the less the store is a really cool showcase with a great diverse blend of products. Do NOT place an order online unless you can wait at LEAST a month to receive your items - completely unacceptable at Christmas time. I ordered BEFORE Black Friday. The first communication I received was that a label had been created. 10 days later, the shipping company was still waiting for the package. Original order had to be cancelled and then resubmitted. The order came in no less than FIVE packages - two of them arrived AFTER Christmas. On top of that, my card was charged for the full amount of the order when it was placed prior to Thanksgiving, not as items were shipped. I didn't receive two of my items (I ordered 6 of the same item for stocking stuffers, and only received 4) - I was told they were out of stock. I had to call to ask for a refund. Two weeks later, a refund still had not hit my credit card, so I had to call again. Duluth should be paying ME for the time I spent trying to sort out this order..... I'm so disappointed, as I do like Duluth gear. It's unlikely that I'll order again. Do better, Duluth! read more

At the heart of my review is choice. As a customer I have a choice where to spend my income. As a customer, I have a choice if I'm going to shop in person, online or if I've received a gift and have an issue that needs assistance, like an exchange. The thing I am taking issue with is HOW to return the product I absolutely hate. Returns are NOT free. The customer, (ME) has to pay for the label to return any item. It's $7.95 to purchase the label. No choice about that. But, the only way you can send anything back is to use FedEx. The only way is to use FedEX is at a Walgreens Drugs. I don't live in an area where Walgreens operates. I also don't have a quick access to a FedEX store, if that were even possible to use one. There's USPS, UPS locally, and about an hour away, FedEx has a drop ship storefront, but it's only open on limited days and hours. How is this convenient for customers, without whom, this company would be a dead dog? No one makes items that are of such impeccable quality, fabric, fit, style and with acceptable prices that I'm willing to drive over an hour away to return a purchase that I cannot use. No one. If the customer has to pay, the customer should be able to choose. It's as simple as that. And since this company will not allow the customer to choose such an easy and common sense solution, then this customer chooses not to buy any more of their products. I don't see how it makes sense to force a customer to pay for shipping and then also force them to only ship with the most inconvenient shipper known to modern commerce. Duluth claims a "No Bull" guarantee but unfortunately that doesn't mean anything. I had 3 pair of fire hose flex pants which lasted for less than 7 months before they all ripped in the exact same spot near the zipper. I wear these pants exactly once a week each, so they were worn less than 30 times. The manager took one look and said they do not cover wear and tear, and since the rip was not on a seam it was not a defect, and refused to process a return or even store credit. This goes against the written policy of the website, which has a satisfaction guarantee for returns within one year. They also said "they didn't know what I was doing in the pants," when it's fairly reasonable to assume people will do work in clothing advertised as work clothing. There are dozens of reviews of this product on the Duluth website with the same failure, so it is obviously a known manufacturers defect. I was happily going to use the store credit on a different product (the HD version) but instead I will find a different manufacturer as neither the brand nor this store stands by it's quality guarantee. I wish I found this out before investing $500 in clothes for work. - Edited to add a quote from their Returns and Exchange section of the website. "We stand by the craftsmanship and durability of our products. If you are not satisfied with any item you purchase from Duluth Trading, return it for a refund within one year. Purchased made 6/13. Received a tracking order that didn't work at all. Waited 8 days and called, was told to wait longer because of holiday and if not received 10 business days call back. Call #2, no order. Was told order was shipped but Duluth was also unable to track. Advised they would expedite by overnight delivery and I would receive next day. Well, they split the order and I received first pkg 5 days later and last one today 7/11. Will absolutely never order from them again. Customer service unhelpful and did not do what they said they would do. Waiting a month is unacceptable, order was not from China!! read more

Having seen their commercials and not having one of these where I'm from, i have been dying to check this place out. Finally got the chance this trip to pay a visit. I got a kick out of their marketing and displays. Picked up some of those buck naked underwear that I've been seeing and boy are they comfy! They are a little pricey but fortunately had a sale going on at the time (buy 3 get 1) so that helped. The products here seem well made and hopefully will last. Duluth's quality is good and the Golden location is well stocked and service is good. I would say overpriced - I only buy things on sale there. The problem with Duluth is if you order online. Expect at least a week for your item to get sent out and another week to arrive. We had a package prepared with a shipping label but PO never got it and I had to call to fix the problem 3 weeks later. Customer service was good to fix the problem, but 2nd try took 2 weeks more. Makes no sense to have such slow shipping these days- its not going by horse and buggy. I will get things in store but not order online anymore from Duluth. read more

All of the Duluth trading stores that I've been to are great. Every employee is more than willing to help with any needs or questions. The selections are usually pretty good, I was hoping to get some more shorts, but it's not in season so I missed out. The clothing here is great for the money spent in it. I only wear their t shirts and they last a long time. The value is there. read more

Great store! My dad is obsessed with this place and now we live in Colorado I though I would check it out! Large store and huge parking lot so no problem with that. Prices are expensive but the quality seems amazing and it being Christmas time almost everything was 50% off. They have mostly outdoorsy type clothing and work clothing for tradesmen. According to my dad they have the best return policy. You can return your jeans within years after buying them if they wear out and they replace free of charge!! That's insane to me! Aka you buy pants there you never have to buy pants again. Plus the material they use in a lot of the jeans are firehose. Pretty cool! Check this place out if you are ever in the area! read more

I actually ordered an online order for a few items for my father, I just want to say he truly enjoyed the pants as well as the shirts. They were comfortable and they have a nice stretch to them. The first trouble I ran into was I overestimated my fathers waist size and asked if I could return the items which was surprisingly simple. Went to the order, check boxed the items that I wanted replaced with the correct size, and then give you a shipping label you can print out and slap on any box and drop it off as USPS. They quickly sent the replacement pants which they already had packed and ready, waiting for the originals. It was an easy return process and they helped all the way. I wanted so badly to like this store but it's come to my attention after 4 visits that I'm not really their target market. Their cloths are made for even older guys that me. Which is old I'm 45. And that the older cashiers really aren't nice. I've tied on basically every men's pant in the store and they just aren't my fit. I simply don't have 24" crotch to waist line. Aside from this I returned some Christmas gifts that just didn't work out. Needless to say I exchanged a pair of pants and a pullover fleece for 3 pairs of underwear. Yes, that how expensive the underwater are there. However, the fit is neither here nor there it is the customer service. They have tons of help and everyone is falling over each other to help you. I placed a large order with Duluth TC on February 13, 2023. After doing so, I received a valid confirmation number, telling me that I'd receive an email upon shipment of my items. Today is March 8, 2023, nearly a month later and my package hasn't arrived. I called Duluth to inquire about my shipment. After a 10 min wait while the lady checked for my order, she returned and said although I gave her a valid order number, she couldn't find my order!!! She put me on hold AGAIN, and after another 10 minute wait, she told me the items didn't ship because my credit card was "denied". After nearly a month no one contacted me from Duluth Trading Company to inform me of complications. However, I strongly believe the issue was on their end and didn't want to admit their error! I used my American Express Gold card, no spending limit on purchases! Everyone knows that AMEX informs its customers of ANY issues with purchases. We use this same card for all our purchases, Amazon, airline tickets, etc., never have been denied! I asked if Duluth could 2nd Day air our package to us as a courtesy...$32, since we were leaving town in a few days, the said sorry, but NO! Although many of their products are good, their "customer service" leaves much to desire! One would think since the screw-up was apparently on their end, a big company like Duluth TC could extend a customer a courtesy and spend $32 to make things right!! This is the only place to buy work pants yes they cost a few more buck than regular work pants. They stand behind their products 100% I had 6 pair of the flex fire hose that developed holes in waist band and Sue returned them and traded me for the same ones. The staff are very professional and friendly and know their product front and back Bill was super helpful showing me how to install the buttons properly for suspenders.
