Damn, Ashley - so close to a 5 star review. You could've been a contender but…read more.. Let me start with the reason for the 4 stars (that should have been 5 stars): Bought a living room set about a year and half ago and the linkage on the electric footrest mechanism just snapped in half. Got the part replaced under warranty fast - week and half. I did the work myself because after 1 year labor is not covered but it was an easy half hour job. So super happy with that. Excellent job Ashley on your warranty replacement work. So why not 5 stars? They tried to lie about the warranty at first (well, a lie of omission). When the chair broke, first thing we did was call down there and ask about the warranty. "Oh...sorry...warranty is only 1 year" we were told. Damn, that sucks. So we drive down there to look at buying a new $1500 chair. The sales guy is showing us different chairs and I'm small talking him and mentioned that I was looking for a cheaper chair. I just broke the last one after only a year and a half so figured if that's all they're good for - then I want the cheapest chair possible. He points out that the parts warranty is actually 5 years. Only the labor expires after 1 year. "Well good", says I. I need to file a warranty claim then. "You gotta talk to the boss and he's gone until Wednesday". No problem. I leave and call back Wednesday. Tell the boss my problem and he also tells me "Oh...sorry...warranty is only 1 year". But your salesman showed me the brochure that says 5 year warranty. "Oh that's just parts, no labor". OK, so get me the part. I'll either do it myself or gladly pay the labor to have it done. At that point, the manager switched gears from deny-mode and was super helpful and got the claim filed and the replacement linkage mechanism to me in less than 2 weeks. So kudos for that. But really? How many people have they fooled with this whole "first try to deny the warranty" tactic? Maybe the first guy my wife called was new and didn't know any better but I spoke with the store manager. He knew damn well it was a 5 year parts warranty. But rather than say that, he tries to imply that my chair is out of warranty. Then silence. As if, end of story. Had it not ultimately ended well for me - I would have given only 1 star. But once the manager realized he wasn't going to get away with snowing me about the "sorry...only 1 year warranty" he did do an excellent job of getting me the broken part replaced. If he reads this - maybe he might consider ditching that tactic. Probably works on a lot of people but it's just not worth the negative karma and missing out on a 5 star glowing review.

Save yourself some heartache and DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. We are going on YEAR THREE of Jon Son,…read moreowner of this business ripping us off and it's still ongoing. Back story: Jon Son agreed to do flooring in our home for about $7,000 in October 2015. He did half the work and just stopped. Our home was torn apart, he agreed to 2 weeks of work that turned into 3 months, and at 8 months pregnant, his crew (who later admitted had never done flooring) moved our entire living room into the kitchen and didn't move it back. He told me I could just get a neighbor to help! I ended up moving it BY MYSELF, crying, with a huge pregnant belly. When I told him, he said, I'm stressed with other jobs and overbooked so I'm losing money on your job - sorry I can't help. THIS IS AFTER WE PAID HIM IN FULL. They damaged molding, baseboards, door jams, holes in the drywall, and we're still finding nails sticking out from places where they didn't know what they were doing. I was in tears daily and we had to live in our basement. They polyurethaned dog fur and sawdust into the floors, it's uneven, the color was wrong, and it scrapes your feet when you walk. IT'S A DISASTER. We also purchased 2 tv tables and a shelf that all arrived over a month late, wet from stain that damaged our carpets, and the shelf is tipping over. Their furniture may look nice now, but I guarantee over time it wont last. How is any of this professional from a business owner or even experienced furniture makers? Fast forward to 2017 when we won a judgement in Missoula County Courthouse for some of the cost to do the repairs. Out of the $5,000 he only paid $600 saying he has 6 kids and can't afford to pay anything else, despite agreeing to all of it in mediation only a couple months prior. We found out that his rent alone is $3,000/month and he's constantly having sales and his inventory is always changing - proving he makes a ton of money. We also found out from a private investigator that he has a huge cabinet making business on the side. He has been ripping people off in Hamilton and Missoula for decades - aside from ours, he has 2 other collections against him and they never got a dime because he's emptied his bank accounts and local agencies know him by name and call him a con man. We learned all of this first hand because we hired the SAME collections agencies to attempt any reimbursement. We also found out recently that his company didn't use tongue/groove floor boards but just slabs of wood that they screwed into the subfloor - since we have radiant floor heating, this has caused a huge plumbing issue for us and the entire flooring needs to be torn out! He said that if we removed online reviews, he would start paying us again (hardly makes sense if he's saying he can't afford to pay us back). So I removed my reviews (which is why this is new as of today), yet he STILL didn't pay a dime saying his business is failing. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. He still refuses to answer texts. He still refuses any responsibility or to pay what is owed to us. He refuses to take any responsibility for the damage he did to our home, let alone the awful work he did. He took advantage of me while pregnant and my husband when we were new to town. GO ANYWHERE ELSE.

Will never do business with Jon Son or Wild West Furnishings again. He was contracted for nearly…read more$7000 worth of work, and he has been paid in full for six months, but the work is incomplete. Jon has been refusing to answer our phone calls or texts since he got the last payment. Additionally, his employees damaged some of our woodwork and covered the entire first floor of our house, furniture, light fixtures, etc., in sawdust. We have been forced to hire another contractor to complete the job and will be suing Jon for the cost. In our experience, Jon does not communicate with his employees and completely disappears anytime there is a problem. As a side note, there appears to be a number of reviews for Jon's business, which are not viewable unless you click a button at the bottom of the page. Had we read any of these reviews, we would have never hired him. I have never written a Yelp review before, but I am so fed up with him that I want to warn everyone to stay away from this business.
