I told her I was here for the event and I saw it on Instagram. It does not say anywhere that it was a private event or it was by invitation only. Also, there was no check-in or guest list at the event. Another staff member asked me to leave because he said I was looking at websites on my phone and comparison shopping. He falsely accused me of doing something I was not, but even if I was, I don't understand why that would be an issue. Also, after a bartender had already served me a cocktail, the staff asked me to show my passport because they said I didn't look old enough to drink. Why would I need to carry my passport to attend events or go shopping? By the way, I am over 50 years old. In addition, another staff commented they were concerned that I was event hopping. I asked why that would be an issue and she simply said it sounded like I was just going to events. This staff member didn't know what events I was attending and what I had purchased at the other events and it shouldn't matter as well. I am still shocked at what happened on Saturday. I simply asked her, "Am I able to just walk into a fitting room?" She looked me up and down and, with the most unwelcoming demeanor, simply nodded. I mean, come on. You're working in customer service. A little friendliness and basic courtesy go a long way. I'm simply asking the store owner or whoever is responsible for management at this location to consider providing her with some customer service training. Shopping should be a fun experience, and the attitude of the staff can really make or break it. On the plus side, the guy who was ringing me up at the register was incredibly welcoming and courteous, maybe make him the manager instead? Or have him train the current manager. Hah
