Clothes are very decent and classy. Quite pricey, but they're worth it. I'm definitely going back to buy more soon!

She made me feel very uncomfortable and I will be contacting Chicos headquarters. Here is what I witnessed: These two middle eastern women were shopping (I think they were speaking Farsi/Persian) and one was trying on clothes in the changing room. As she was trying on each article of clothing, she was placing them over the top of the changing room door. (Keep in mind, these changing rooms are extremely small). The manager frantically approached this customer and said "You can't just throw the clothes over the door! They'll get dusty!" Taken aback, the customer replied: "The store gets cleaned, doesn't it?" And the manager said "Not up there!!!" She then turned around and muttered to herself (very loudly): "NO ONE ELSE DOES THESE TYPES OF THINGS. NO ONE." I could see the two women were very uncomfortable after being scolded by the manager about this and did not linger in the store much longer. They did not they buy any of the many items they had tried on. I don't blame them one bit, because I left quickly after too. My housekeeper always cleans the top of my doors at my house. Does Chicos not have the same standards of cleanliness? The manager basically announced to the whole store that they do not. To embarrass and scold a customer for something so unimportant is NOT OK. If anything, the manager should be contacting the store's CLEANING TEAM and letting them know that the changing rooms are dusty and dirty. Gross! I know this manager is capable of being polite, as another customer came in and she greeted them VERY warmly, as though they were friends. She gave these other two middle eastern woman the cold shoulder, however, and did not attempt to help them in any customer-friendly way. I was extremely disturbed to witness this. I wish I had gone back there and told that saleswoman what a rude person she is. This incident felt xenophobic to me, as they were speaking a foreign language, and this woman never appeared friendly to them at any point during their visit. Very "mean girl" energy. I will be contacting Chicos headquarters about this and reporting this incident. I was bystander, but it made me feel incredibly icky. I regret not comforting those women. I will also never be shopping at this particular Chicos again.

I don't know if she was a salesperson or not, but they were talking and not one of them looked up, greeted me or even acknowledged my presence. I walked around the entire store twice, looking for what I wanted. I was ready to ask someone, but since they were so disinterested in my presence and engaged in their conversation, I decided to shop elsewhere. I will not return to the store. It's a shame because it's the only one in this area and buying online is always sketchy causing possible returns. What has happened to decent customer service?

It's still an open air shopping center but they're putting a big emphasis on community gathering. They do a lot of events like a Spring Carnival and Egg Hunt. They also upgraded the ice rink under the LA Kings brand. There's also lots of new restaurants. I found a new favorite via Pho Red Bo and I spotted a yummy dessert spot via Fika Fika Creamery. Though lots of change, it was nice to see Regal Promenade still here. This movie theatre was my go- to movie theatre a few years back and I have found memories of this spacious (not crowded) theatre. Overall, I was happy to visit the new Promenade PV. It's nice to see this outdoor area gaining more popularity and it's so refreshing to see the new restaurants and events they have here.

We came a week before Thanksgiving, and a beautiful Christmas tree was up, providing some good picture opportunities.

The customer service is great there I had a few questions about several items and they walked me over to where I'd be able to find them. Very helpful and kind I appreciated that. As far as the lines they a few people in line but you didn't have to wait so long they had all the cashiers open so it had a great flow. [Review #799] 2023-087…read more TJ Maxx is located in the heart of Peninsula Shopping Center. Although I've heard of them, I don't recall shopping at the stores. They are the flagship chain of TJX Companies; strangely, they operate as sister stores with Marshalls, which I do frequent, & both chains generally stock similar items (men's, women's, & children's apparel, shoes, & accessories; bath & beauty products; jewelry & other accessories; housewares, kitchen & home products) of those found at major department store except theirs is generally discounted. I don't believe the Rolling Hills Estates location is a higher volume store; those store may have a high-end designer department called The Runway. And it's also unexpected to find a discount department store in the affluent hills. During this school year (2023 - 2024), my son's Cantonese class has doubled the students so I've been hanging out with other parents shootin' the breeze, takin' a coffee/tea break, walking (to get some exercise in), & window shopping (sometimes actually buying stuff). The store opens pretty early, at 9:30 AM, for a Saturday morning so we usually have it pretty much to ourselves when we're browsing here. Their inventory is comparable to Marshalls, & I've gotten some great deals. What's impressive about this location is their luxury inventory... some unexpected finds include: Mackage (I knew it was a thing but haven't heard of them & needed to look them up; they're a Canadian prestigious luxury outwear clothing brand), Fendi, TOTEME (Stockholm-based label exploring the appeal of the modern uniform with meticulous craftsmanship, methodic repetition, & distinct design cues). They even carry one of my fav brands: Life is Good; an American apparel & accessories lifestyle brand known for its optimistic t-shirts that often feature Jake, a smiling stick figure. I love their pjs... so comfy & cozy. The store is organized & well-stocked, probably because we're here first thing in the morning. Can't imagine what it would be like mid-day since there's only a skeleton crew in the mornings, I'm sure they'll increase the staff during the busier shopping hours. My friend found a couple pairs of designed shades in the locked display case, & it took awhile to find someone, then another staff member to open the case. While she was mulling over which to purchase, both were great deals, I/she felt rushed into making a decision. And for security purposes (understandably), she couldn't hold onto them & he brought her glasses to the cashier even though the registers are the next row over. The staff is friendly & welcoming on our Saturday mornings, & any purchases are processed quickly. If you're looking for mark-downed name brands, you can try your luck at TJ Maxx, but it might take some time to find that treasure. Happy hunting!

Last weekend when I discovered this beautiful new mall, I was struck by the window display at Don Vincent. It was a show of Great Gatsby-ish white suits with coordinating hats. Elegantly eye-catching! Today I stopped in with a compliment and toured the beautiful store. Their suits are beyond gorgeous, probably very expensive. I saw some designer names on various items, which range from dresswear to shorts & tees casual. (They carry Corneliani, Brioni, Ravazzolo, Belvest, Ermenegildo, Zegna, Puccio, Lubiam, Bernard Zins, Zanella, Talbott and Eton.) There were beautiful colorful neckties & a display of straw hats. Looks to me like these clothes are for the very sharp dresser who can afford the best.

The store itself is in a very secluded little mall tucked away deep in PV, Im surprised they can afford to pay the rent as I have never seen very many people in the mall. The selection is decent for a little store, more on the high end. I bought a couple ties and a new wallet and while the items didn't blow me away, I did need some new ties and I went out of my way to find something I liked more because he was such a nice guy that gave excellent service. One thing about high end stores is that they are pretty upiddy and its always refreshing to get a nice sales person. Its pretty evident that they stay in business because of the friendly environment and not so much on the clothing. Nothing was modern or really stylish but then again I think its probably perfect for the PV crowd.

Review #923 2025-101…read more Located Peninsula Shopping Center, Five Below is a specialty discount gift shop chain that prices most of its products between $1.00 - $5.00, with some exceptional finds $5+. My son goes to Cantonese school across the street, & one of the moms mentioned there's a cute graphic tee that's perfect for our growing Chinese momentum: You're All That & Dim Sum! The tees section was quite large with lots to choose from. I got the dim sum tee for my 8 YO son, & also saw another tee (Born To Game Forced To Work... LMAO) that perfectly describes his latest transgression from studying, though there's not much to study or homework for that matter in elementary school. There's also toys & games, beauty products, candies & snacks, books, etc. They're similar to other discount stores like Dollar Tree & Daiso, but on the higher price tier with more variety & trend-focused products for the younger set. Customer service is efficient & friendly. I only waited a few minutes with a handful of people ahead of me. Parking is plentiful in the shopping center based on its location & doesn't compete much for spaces with the anchor stores or restaurants. Five Below is a great alternative for the bargain shopper! And now that the holidays are here... check 'em out for gift giving ideas.

10/5/24 Still feeling suspicious about Target BUT I have a gift card to redeem…read more This is probably the smallest Target I've ever been in, but was in the neighborhood and decided to just redeem my gift card here-- it looks a little less suspicious/sketchy than the one in Montclair . I purchased a tape dispenser, glass cleaner, a small waist basket, adaptable sliders for the sofa/couchEs, and Dawn platinum foam dish wash. I was looking for clips to use to keep the bed sheets firmly onto the mattress--nope, this is too small of a branch to have them, but the person that was helping me mentioned maybe finding it at TJ Maxx a few doors down, she was helpful and patient. As mentioned earlier, it's a small Target so the inventory is limited, but I was able to get some of the items that I needed and I was able to finally redeem the gift card . Whatever balance was needed to pay the whole total I paid in cash. Ever since the Target debacle about being scammed off a gift card, I've been feeling leery about Target altogether--so I am not going to use any of my cards to get scammed again just in case. Overall this branch was less sketchy than the Montclair location, hence the 4 stars. It was small & limited but I felt helped & comfortable at this store. Not entirely certain if I will ever regain that trust for Target stores from the experience in Montclair. I guess being jaded is better than being duped again.
