He is also a runner, so letting him run off the leash is impossible without searching the entire town for him. A friend recommended the Snuggery to us to help him get some energy out, but also to allow us to get a break from the energy. We dropped him off for daycare and it was like he came home a different dog. He was actually TIRED, for once in his life. We have loved The Snuggery since and enjoy taking him to have a good time. We have since used them for boarding and when we needed to get our windows replaced at home. I love that they post pictures and I get to see how much fun he had. We will continue to use The Snuggery for any daycare or boarding needs. ONE LAST THING, when I take him in the car to The Snuggery, he is calm in the car at first, but then he tries to bolt out of my car when we pull up. He loves it there.

One vet said my dog's blood pressure ($50 per reading) was high and needed to be checked frequently while another vet said it was high normal but the dog was anxious which explained the elevation. Another vet tried to give me nausea medicine ($64) when I told her the medicine had not worked for him in the past. Another vet wanted to treat my dog for worms without waiting for the stool test results -which were normal. Another vet wanted to take frequent blood tests ($300) for a condition I was not going to treat. Be aware that there is a pharmacy charge if you choose to get a medicine for your pet and decide after your visit. I have since found a more reasonably priced veterinarian who makes suggestions but listens to how I choose to care for my pet. The vets here are competent but they pushed a lot of unnecessary tests/medicines. Be aware.

I decided to take my dog here (to the Animal Clinic of Michigan City) for a second opinion, since one of their specialties is chiropractic techniques. Dr. Baldwin of the Animal Clinic found that my dog had pneumonia, which my other vet missed! He treated that and continued the chiropractic treatments which helped by dog tremendously. This was several years ago; my dog has since passed. Now I trust my final pet, my cat, to Dr. Baldwin of the Animal Clinic of Michigan City. I highly recommend them. By the way, those were my first experiences with chiropractic treatment. I used to think chiropractors were practicing quackery, until I witnessed how well (and how fast) it helped my dog.

The only reason they get a star is because I have to leave one…read more I asked for a full grooming of my dog, to include bathing, etc. I was also VERY specific on how to groom her, which, honestly, is 3 things; do not cut her ears, tail and leave her mustache. I pick her up and the first thing I saw was her butchered tail and no mustache. I asked him and he told me all I said was ears. That's impossible, this is how I've always had her groomed, I say it EVERYTIME. I even repeated it multiple times, but he never acknowledged what I said, just went on about his business. I get frustrated and tell him that that's not true, I paid him, I even tipped him (even though I shouldn't have!!), and I left. I get her in the car and noticed there is still dirt on her face and stuff stuck in the hair around her eyes. NEVER AGAIN. Ever.
