My dog is FILLED with energy. We don't have a fenced in yard, so getting his full extent of exercise is hard to do by ourselves. He is also a runner, so letting him run off the leash is impossible without searching the entire town for him. A friend recommended the Snuggery to us to help him get some energy out, but also to allow us to get a break from the energy. We dropped him off for daycare and it was like he came home a different dog. He was actually TIRED, for once in his life. We have loved The Snuggery since and enjoy taking him to have a good time. We have since used them for boarding and when we needed to get our windows replaced at home. I love that they post pictures and I get to see how much fun he had. We will continue to use The Snuggery for any daycare or boarding needs. ONE LAST THING, when I take him in the car to The Snuggery, he is calm in the car at first, but then he tries to bolt out of my car when we pull up. He loves it there. read more

I've always had a good relationship with the employees there, and I know from talking with the manager there how good of care she takes with my dog. (who is anxious around people but good with other dogs, thankfully!) I mean, this woman has driven ON HER OWN TIME to pick up meds (not my dog, this time!) for dogs under her care! She's great! One year when I was running late to drop my pup off the woman at the desk actually called me on my cell to make sure we were still on, and see if I needed a late drop off. But oh MAN, Christmas eve..... what a day to totally get screwed by what's been a safe place for year. I reserved late, but got a reservation email back that said: "A reservation for Sagan on December 24, 2024 at 12:00 pm has been made! Reservation Start Date: December 24, 2024 at 12:00 pm Reservation End Date: December 26, 2024 at 12:00 pm As a reminder, please see below for BOARDING our drop-off & pick-up hours: Monday - Friday: Drop-off 12pm - 4:30pm | Pick-up 7:30am - 12pm" Odd, I knew they'd be closed on Christmas, but since they updated drop off times, I've learned the $$$ lesson of not dropping him off too early! And the email Start Date specifically says starts at noon, so I planned to get there early but not too early. I emailed back and forth with the front desk a few times about Sagan's Bordatella vaccine, and it was just normal conversation. I wasn't even thinking of drop off times, because the email was pretty specific, and through all these other communications, nobody mentioned any heads up about altered drop off times. So, I get there on Christmas Eve. Guess what? These people CLOSED AT 11!!!! Drop off hours were 9AM-11AM. Not a peep about it throughout the 4-5 emails regarding this reservation. I called. I banged on doors, I walked around the building. The kicker? There was a car in front of me in the driveway. As my back was turned, I saw the person slip into their car and book outta there. They saw me. They FREAKING saw me! And they snuck off. I mean, I know they'd not be able to fix my problem but a quick "hey, I'll let the owner know to call you ASAP and maybe she can fix this" would have gone miles. And no, I didn't check the website. I haven't been on their website in a long time, since I don't need to look up what they offer or what they cost. I've been a customer for years. When I saw the time mentioned on the reservation email, I figured it was at least close to accurate or else they would have said something. Also, it's the 27th. Nobody has reached out to me, even though I've left vm's and pm's. NEVER AGAIN. I'm done with this place. read more

We brought our dig here for three nights and were happy with the services. The facility looked clean and the entry room smelled good. Staff was friendly and responded via text with updates on how our dog was doing. Prices were reasonable. We would go back! read more

Honestly I wish I could just give no stars to this place. I took my dog here just for an overnight trip and we called once before asking how he was doing and they said he was good but then when we go to pick him up. He was relieved to see us (obviously) but all of a sudden he smelled absolutely awful like you just let the other animals pee on him and he didn't feel like his usual soft-ness. He also has been sick he's been sneezing and not eating at all. Which the only way he could've gotten like this is from The Snuggery. Let's just say I was disappointed. read more

I boarded my Olde English Bulldog (4 years old) for four days here at the snuggery. He has hip dysplasia, but other than that is a fully healthy dog. I left detailed instructions on his care, fed once in the morning and once at night with exact food provided(portioned in separate baggies). (1) Joint pill and cbd once in the morning. When picking him up, there was 2 extra bags of food left, meaning he was not given 2 of his morning/afternoon meals during the four days. They also were not able to give him a bath because he "bit the leash", which is not a problem other than when I picked him up he was extremely dirty and not nearly in the condition I dropped him off in. Not only this, his anus was bloody and swollen. This could be due to stress, however I have boarded him before elsewhere and this had never been the problem. He was to be kept with my parent's dog who was also being boarded during the same period. I am not 100% sure, but I feel like this did not happen because on pick up and drop off they asked if they knew each other, both with the reply that "yes they do, that is my parent's dog". My parents asked for them to be boarded together. Overall, my dog did not die or have detrimental affects from staying, however it was far from a good stay. Not only did I pay for the boarding, but now have an extra vet bill to make sure his anus will not get any worse. It is painful for him. I recommend looking anywhere but here for boarding. There are many boarding places in the area that I have had much better luck with (Dawg paradise in Westville is very good). I tried this one for the first time due to it being the only option on a short notice, and I seriously regret it and feel bad for leaving my dog there for four days. read more

Lisa is amazing with both of my high maintenance boys, a Great Pyrenees and a Cocker Spaniel. I've also boarded them there and they both came home happy and well taken care of. They didn't mind me calling to check in on my boys more than I probably should have. Lol. My crazy boys are more than a handful and they do a great job!!! read more

I was very disappointed with the service and price this weekend. My past experience was that a room reservation for a pet family was all inclusive. It was not per dog , but per room as the website says. This time they charged twice as much as I had anticipated. My dogs truly loved going to this place before, but this time Dexter was excited to get out. He literally ran to the front door when my daughter picked them up. Avoid this place at all costs!!! I just picked my dog up today after being boarded there for 5 days. He had caked on feces on all of his paws, his stomach and all around his penis. I had to take him home and bathe him and use a scrub brush on some areas because it wouldn't come off. The previous owners called the boarding facility Pet Pals. I boarded my dog there for 6 years and NEVER had my dog returned to me in such a disgusting, filthy way. When I called the present owner she said that in a previous stay I didn't want a take home bath which the extra fee was $26. I replied and I still don't this was complete and utter neglect and it is inexcusable! You will never care or should I say NOT CARE for my dog again!!!! NOTE: I only gave a single star because I had too in order to be able to post this review....otherwise it would be a BIG FAT ZERO!!!! read more

Absolutely Atrocious Grooming A Dog Owner's Real Nightmare! There is no lack of compassion and warmth for dogs at Pet Pal. There is, however, a serious lack of grooming skills and willingness to take responsibility for grooming disasters. Our dear pet went to Pet Pals as a sheepdog; she left a freakish caricature of a poodle! Her massive broad paws were shaped into dainty points making her look as if she were on high heels. Her face was completely shaved. Her thick bushy ears became thin and stringy. The only benefit was that her expressive eyes were visible, yet we worried that this breed of dog is not accustomed to direct sun in the eyes. When we notified the owner of our displeasure, she explained that the cutting has to be blended. Apparently, once they began to make her look like a freak, they had to go all the way. What kind of expertise do they have at Pet Pals? Clearly, it is insufficient. We trust others will spare themselves the regret of having their dogs groomed by amateurs and then waiting months to recover the semblance of their old pet. We erroneously thought that in a month or two the damage would no longer be visible. That was a vain hope. Even after 6 months her ears barely look like a sheepdog's and her beard is stunted - and they may never return to normal. Her overall coat also continues to look sparse. What a mistake to trust Pet Pals with the grooming of our dog! read more

Poor customer and grooming service. My dog has been groomed and boarded here numerous times. When I next called to make an appointment I was told the groomer refused to groom him because he was too mean. My dog is 8 years old and has been groomed countless times even at Pet Pals. He has been boarded there for several weeks at a time when I had to be gone for an extended period. No one has ever told me such nonsense. He is a very friendly dog and has never been aggressive to anyone. I can't help but wonder if he was handled in a rough manner.Just untrue. I guess they have so much business they feel they can pick and choose their customers. read more

Terrible. My boyfriend took our dog to get a bath and asked them to maybe remove some of the knots she had in her fur. They said they would absolutely be able to BRUSH them out. When I went to pick her up the bill was higher than normal...then my dog came out of the back... she was no longer a long haired dachshund, she had no long hair what so ever and it didn't even look good. It looked as though a 10 year old child went at my dog with scissors! After being told that when my boyfriend dropped her off he asked for her to be groomed I said okay, paid the bill and waited to talk to him. After speaking with him he told me they said they were going to brush the knots out. When I called Pet Pals to complain the lady just said "Sorry" (very sarcastically) and the line went silent...I said "that's it?" she didn't say anything! I will not be taking my dog to Pet Pals ever again. They butchered my dog! What a waste of money... read more
