It's one of those appetizers that's easy to judge a kitchen by, and this one was done exactly right. Great flavor, great texture, and clearly made with care. The ambiance is fantastic. Silk has that upscale-but-comfortable feel where you can relax but still feel like you're somewhere special. The lighting, décor, and overall vibe make it a great spot whether you're grabbing drinks with friends or settling in for a full evening out. Service was top notch from start to finish. Attentive without hovering, friendly, and knowledgeable--exactly what you hope for when trying a new place. The drink program really stands out. The cocktails were interesting and expertly prepared, and you can tell the bartenders know what they're doing. They also have a large selection of spirits, including plenty of off-the-beaten-path bottles for people who like to try something different. It's a great place to explore beyond the usual picks. I was able to order one of my favorite Dutch bros drinks which was awesome as I did not have to fly to Phoenix for my drink. They have fewer flavors than DB but still offer a wide variety of drinks. Great for a warm summer day. The first day I went the drink was the closest I have come to Dutch Bros or the ones I make at home. Today's drink was so bad you could not even drink it. I hope they work kinks out as this has the potential to be great. They are still working out the kinks and hope staff are more natural or relaxed when talking it up as that is what made DB so special. **PLEASE READ FULL REVIEW** I visited this morning for it's…read moregrand opening (Bleecker St Utica, NY) and was disappointed before I got in the door as I was brushed aside BY an employee in a suit, a higher up no doubt, which makes it worse(though to be fair it was a madhouse). There were a couple of less than desirable encounters with employees BUT after saying so when asked about my experience, the manager more than made up for it. There were in fact many awesome employees, don't take away a negative outcome from this review, please. I'm sure after the dust settles they will no doubt weed out those who don't measure up, so after being shown that I DO in fact matter, I will definitely shop there again, and often. Decent, or even great, prices are only half of a shopping experience, the other is customer service. And when I voiced that mine was one that may cause me to not return, two employees and two managers came to change that, and they for sure did.
