I went by around noon and almost all the donuts were gone (a good sign!) and there was still a line in the drive-through. Naturally, I was inside. I had a super puffy glazed doughnut. Had a pretty thick coating of glaze, but it needed it because the donut was so thick. Please see photo. The other doughnut was something called Butter Nutter or something and looked like a Butterfinger was smashed and put over the top of the donut. See photo. I worried that the super thick glazed donut was going to be raw because it was so enormous, but it was cooked well enough where it was fine. It's sort of a skin on it like a bagel. Tasted really good. The other doughnut was super super sweet like sugar on top of sugar. I wouldn't have normally ordered it, but they were out of everything else that I normally would order. Good but too sweet for me. Again it was fried crispy, which is how I liked donuts. The ambience is what you would expect in an old donut shop... comfortably worn... I'll be back when I need a doughnut in this area.. Bonus: They also had fresh unsweet tea, which is great!

When I was a wee lass, I went to the Taco Bell right by my house on Southtowne Drive. Even when I…read moredidn't eat tacos (which I eventually got over), I always loved the churros and cinnamon twists which made my heart sing. It was an integral part of my youth. When I walked the dogs (before we had to put Lilly up for adoption and Cheddar died of cancer), my mother would say "Don't go past the Taco Bell!" and I knew exactly where to stop, by the bright orange (that soon turned to muted brown) building with the large sign sticking up from the ground saying "TACO BELL" The Taco Bell was the most noticeable part of my ride home every day. I remember when they painted it over, I asked my mother what they did to Taco Bell, why they did it, and loudly exclaimed my hatred of it. Though I quickly grew to accept it (and until today forgot that it was once bright orange) When I was twelve, a catastrophic failure happened at my school: My class baked churros and some idiot used salt instead of sugar. I was utterly disgusted and disappointed and after school, Dad took me to Taco Bell (even though he really doesn't like it) and got me Cinnamon Twists. However, one day I got the news that they were opening up a new Taco Bell and shutting down my beautiful Southtowne Taco Bell. Although the service here is auicker, I still completely and utterly despise the Gateway Taco Bell. Kt is the spittle that forms in my dehydrated mouth, the dried piece of poop clinging to my butt after I take a hefty dump. It is my number one enemy, no longer can I legally sit on those pretty checkered tables that cried out relics of a bygone era even when the Taco Bell had lost its vibrant colors from the 1990s and faded into the muted browns and greys I knew it for for the rest of my formative years. This Taco Bell has no personality to it, it just looks like a bland, "modern" Taco Bell. At least the one on Southtowne looked just a teensy bit unique. It is too new to hold any memories like the Taco Bell on Southtowne did. A few days ago, there was a massive internet, cable, (and for truly unlucky people, cellular) outage that lasted many agonizing hours, and during that outage, I walked right over to what used to be the Southtowne Taco Bell and sat there, on one of those checkered gravel tables, and just thought about life, digital camera in hand, my dirty yellow vans propped up on the seat, and my plushies on the table. Speedy drive thru, was in and out in less than a minute, so I guess that gives it another star.

Other times even though they were not seating customers, they would let us buy a pizza, sit down and eat it. We would clean up after ourselves too. This girl with dark hair was gross and definitely learned how to be from the customer PREVENTION department. She was rude and nasty. Keep it up and this Pizza Hut won't be around much longer either.

I waited five minutes while 3 employees were hanging out in the office with no masks on. First off, unacceptable that they were in a small room at work with no masks on. When they came out, they walked by the counter several times before I had to call out "excuse me, I am here to pick up my order." The employee walked over and said, "so your pizza got burnt. Do you want us to make another one?" I have no idea what place asks this. This isn't a question unless burnt pizza is on your menu. Of course I said yes, and the man said "okay, it will take about 8 minutes." 25 minutes later my pizza and order was given to me. Here's what was disappointing. Instead of remaking a pizza the instant he knew it was burnt (which they knew before I arrived), they waited for me to arrive to tell them to remake it. If they would have remade it when they noticed, it would have saved me time waiting. They seemed to be having a great time in the office hanging out. Very disappointed for my first time getting "Famous Casey's Pizza." I guess that is what I should have expected for a gas station. Everyone always says, "No you've got to have their pizza because it's not typical gas station pizza." Well the service wasn't typical period. The manager then proceeded to tell me to call back tomorrow for the manager. When I called back the next morning a different employee told me that the manager isn't in today and told me to call back tomorrow. This is bullshit. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
