Everytime I've visited this location, staff has been rude one way or another. Might want to practice better customer service.

I also ordered an iced coffee, a blueberry cake donut (my favorite), and a classic glaze donut for my husband. It's a huge debate if Neil's has the best donuts in Connecticut. I personally only like the blueberry cake donut so I'll leave it at that. This location is modernized compared to its original location in Wallingford. It's super clean and has an organized queue because they get very busy in the morning. There are a few seats inside and outside, but most grab and go. Since I wasn't in a hurry, I enjoyed my egg and cheese sandwich while it was still warm in side. It was very delicious and the bagel was perfectly toasted. The iced coffee was much needed and it was alright. I love finding an excuse to visit this Neil's location as I enjoy it more than Wallingford.

I Came here after a long day of skiing on the mountain. Staff got us right in with no reservations. Not to mention it was Valentine's Day. So We ordered 2 Cocktails to start. For food we enjoyed the clam chowder for and Chicken Cutlet Sandwich - Fried chicken cutlet, lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, hot cherry pepper mayo, American cheese, sourdough bread for $16. The drinks were OK. I would give them about a 3.5 out of 5. Nothing special but tasted like bottom shelf alcohol. We ordered the clam chowder, which was a creamy New England style with a lot of celery. We got the chicken cutlet sandwich that came with truffle fries. Everything was really good after a day of exertion. The ciabatta bun was kind of hard, but other than that, no complaints about the food. The servers were friendly in quick to come around and make sure everything was good

Authentic South Indian vegetarian food, super plain but clean ambience, mediocre service…read more Tried the gobi manchurian, the Andhra masala dosa, the kothu parotta, and the poori-sabzi. On hearing that I had ordered the kothu parotta, the chef came out and asked me if I was from South India and said that he was Tamil from Chennai. It's refreshing to have South Indian food in the US prepared by chefs from South India, and that could explain why the food seemed authentic at Udupi. I enjoyed all the dishes, and while they're nowhere close to the South Indian food one can get in Bangalore (where I'm from) the food is significantly better than one can get in a South Indian restaurant in North Indian cities such as Delhi. The food was perfectly spiced (for me, which means that it may be spicier than usual for most other people) and flavourful. My dining partner tried the mango lassi and enjoyed it. The food was very reasonably priced. The service was neither particularly good nor bad. The woman at the counter was not very friendly but quite efficient. The restaurant appears to thrive on takeout/delivery orders, and was relatively empty. We went on a weekday, so it is possible that it gets more crowded during the weekend. The ambiance is totally charmless and food is served on paper plates. The food did take a lot of time to come out, and I'm assuming that this is because they had one chef at the time who presumably was struggling with delivery orders (UberEats and GrubHub drivers kept coming by to pick up food). I don't live in Connecticut; otherwise, I would come far more often. Overall, I recommend this place if you are in the area, but cannot speak to the quality of the North Indian food served at the restaurant.

We were the only customers at the time so it was nice and quiet. I noticed it appeared clean and well organized and I enjoyed the beautiful wall hangings. The menu is found on the menu board above the counter where you order. They serve typical South Indian food. I ordered a dosa and my friend ordered an utthapam. Both meals were delicious! This is located next to an Indian grocery store and within a short drive of the temple. I will be back for sure!

Christmas Dinner 2025 -- a tradition we've kept going for about five years now…read more Ordered and paid for lunch online (couldn't be easier). My son and daughter picked everything up, brought it home, and even set it out buffet-style before the rest of us arrived. Poppadums didn't last more than a couple of minutes once everyone dug in Mango chutney and the Haveli Special naan -- never disappoint! When ordering online you can choose your heat level from mild to very hot. I've never been brave enough to try very hot, but my brother reckons there should be another option called Indian Hot I assume you can order this way in-house too -- the server really should ask. Everyone loved the spread and I've got leftovers for a couple of days (win!): Vegetarian samosas Lamb korma Saag paneer Butter chicken (mild & medium) Haveli mixed grill Perfect food, zero stress -- exactly how Christmas should be

I tried the gobi manchurian, garlic naan, malai kofta and vegetable jalfrezi. The malai kofta and jalfrezi came with basmati rice. The gobi manchurian and the malai kofta were excellent. The jalfrezi was overly oily and salty - do not recommend. The server was efficient, though not super friendly. The ambiance was elegant, but reminded me of Indian restaurants in the US from the 80s - plenty of South Asian brick a brac of dubious quality, white tablecloths, and generic Bollywood instrumental music. I haven't tried enough Indian restaurants in the area to be able to tell if there are better ones in the area. I would however recommend getting a mix of heavy and light dishes instead of exclusively heavy ones.
