I've only ever posted positive Yelp reviews, but the attitude you get at this location makes me glad we finally have other options available in Havelock. I understand everyone has off days but when it becomes new normal for this location, it just gets tiring visiting this place. This used to be my favorite DD, and a nearly-everyday stop for breakfast on my way to work. I don't know what has happened. Yesterday, I waited more than 5 minutes at the microphone at the drive thru line, then left after being unable to be understood by the staff ("What?" "What?"). This morning, I psyched myself up to give DD a second chance, walked into the store, and found two customers standing in line staring at each other. One revealed that he had been standing at the counter for 5 minutes with no acknowledgment from the staff, so I left. Two days without adequate service. This seems to be either a management issue or a staffing issue. This DD will quickly get a bad reputation with the nearby military base, and their steady stream of customers will look elsewhere. Im in the middle of telling her and then proceeds to tell me to hold on multiple times interrupting me which I understand if she's helping another customer but it's the fact how she was rude and unprofessional. I stay quiet then she asks " what do you want..also start all over again" with an attitude, of course I became irritated that I had gotten an attitude and wasted my time telling her my order in the first place if she wasn't ready. I responded Nevermind, forget it, then she laughs....Not the first time I have received this type of service but it has been on multiple occasions with other employees as well. Obviously not set to a standard and as other reviews have said it, definitely the "Ghetto Dunkin Donuts" overall not recommended due to the poor customer service and lack of professionalism. read more

The only reason I stopped here is because they had icecream. Combining with Baskin Robins was a great idea. I was disappointed that they did not have a cheesecake flavor but I purchased some icecream anyway. Most of their selections weren't displayed. I see a lot of 1 star reviews due to lack of customer service and while it is very true, my biggest complaint is the lack of quality of the doughnuts. They skimp so bad on the toppings and fillings! Can we all agree that this place is terrible and stop going there all together. This place needs to be shut down. I have been going to this Dunkin' Donuts for almost 2 years now. Some days the coffee taste good, other days the coffee is terrible. Some days the employees are nice, some days the employees are in such a bad mood you can say thank you and they will close the window in your face. I understand that with it getting busy it can be stressful. I wish I could give them a zero. We call it the ghetto Dunkin' because it's so so so bad. The last time I went there, they kept putting hot fudge on top of the whipped cream in a sundae, causing the whipped cream to melt. I explained nicely that you don't do that & even pointed at the picture showing a sundae with hot fudge under the whipped cream. Everything is dirty. The outside, dining area, drive-thru and behind the counter. It just feels gross. The service here is mediocre at best. During my most recent visit, two employees were openly berating a customer in the drive-thru for not knowing the difference between a coolatta and a macchiato. In front of every patron inside. Well let me take you on a trip down memory lane, you see I was craving a mint chocolate chip milkshake and decided to drive to this Dunkin/Baskin Robins to fulfill that most basic human craving. I pull up, I'm polite, and drive off ready to enjoy this creamy goodness but as I began to sip, things suddenly took a turn for the worse. You see, what I tasted next was an abomination, a cruel joke, and at this moment I'm still not sure if it was intentional or someone literally has no idea how to make a milkshake and let's be clear I stand by the statement it is arguably the easiest dessert to make, literally milk and ice cream. What I spit of my mouth however, was a concoction of blended ice and water with what I believe was a half scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream or maybe just a few random chocolate chips and food coloring. My boyfriend, who is a marine, just went through the drive through. Since he is headed back to work, he does not have time to call or go back so he asked me to let someone know. First, his order was taken wrong, he wanted cold foam & received whipped cream. I specifically heard him say he wanted cold foam, because his order has been wrong the last couple of times gay this store. Then, after he scanned his points, him & I both heard someone say that he doesn't "GET" to use his free beverage reward because "he is in uniform". I myself work at Dunkin' & I have NEVER heard such a thing - if he is in uniform, why was a military discount not added? As my store ENCOURAGES military discounts to all service members. Last 3 orders I received were wrong. 1 was in the drive thru, 2 were with DoorDash. Every time, they forget an item and they fail to read what the menu item being ordered is. I've tried ordering croissant sandwiches on 2 occasions now, and both times they came on bagels, the most recent also had the wrong type of cheese. Service is always slow. Most (not all) employees act as if they are the unhappiest people on the face of the earth. On multiple occasions just within the last month they have randomly closed down for "maintenance issues". There has been multiple times they were unable to provide hot foods due to a broken oven. For 3-4 days straight they only accepted cash in the drive thru because their credit card machine was broken. It's always something at this location. I've been coming here the past week because the pumpkin spice drinks just hit the stores and I love coffee. This morning when I went through the drive thru, they weren't very busy because it was only 7 a.m. The employee making my drink was friendly, he took my cash and did his thing. He closed the window and it must have been cold inside and warm outside because there was condensation on the window so I could not see inside. He left the window cracked and another employee walked by and stood in front of the drive thru window. I'm guessing he saw my car and I heard him say "Get this bitch out of my window." By far the worst Dunkin' location ever as well as fast food joint ever. If you plan to stop here before work in the mornings you may want to leave 15-20 minutes early. I have never spent less than ten minutes in the store or drive thru. All ever get is a black coffee. If I go inside and pay first it'll be 5-10 minutes before I receive my coffee.
