Good coffee today but bad attitude barista preparing my coffee. I paid for extra shot but when she poured my coffee on the cup it was only 2/3 full and most of my coffee I paid extra shot for was thrown away down the drain. I asked why it was not filled to the top when threw was enough left on the blender, she simply ignored me and looked away. Amazingly, the coffee was good with just the right amount each of the ingredients... too bad, most pf the good stuff went down the drain because, clearly, the barista was having a bad day. The staff here are awesome! They're always smiling and pleasant to talk to. I go weekly, at least, and am always greeted by friendly faces and good conversation. My drinks are always correct, and even when they're busy on the Happy Hour days, they are timely with my orders. During the holidays I ordered eight packages of the Via's and paid for them on the app. It turned out they were actually out of stock in the store. When I went to pick them up, the refund was handled without a problem and only took a few minutes. I do wish it were a bigger store inside with more seating space and maybe some more comfortable seating like couches and comfy chairs, but they can't do much about that. It is better since the remodel. I definitely recommend anyone who's left poor reviews to try them again. The staff is much better than it was in the past, and they're super friendly and on the ball! read more

They always make my drinks PERFECTLY!!! Even better than normal. I love it. Super fast service and the drive thru line actually is quick. The mobile order station inside is great too. Service is so terrible here. I've worked at a Starbucks outside of DC, we were always slam packed and busy, and we were way more efficient, let alone kinder. I've never been to a Starbucks, which is rarely ever busy, work so slowly. I don't mind waiting 10+ minutes for my drink, I get it, they're overwhelmed.... it's the fact that they are so blatantly rude, and petty. They kept telling me while I was waiting how I should've place my mobile order before I got to the store so I wouldn't have to wait- even though I was patiently waiting, genuinely didn't complain once, smiled and told them it's ok take your time! And they started blaming me for taking so damn long. I got my frappe and it tasted way too watered down/icy, they definitely rushed while making it and forgot to add base. i worked at Starbucks and again, the customer is always right, you're supposed to greet the customers as soon as they walk in etc. I overheard them scold customers, they become petty at customers who don't necessarily go to Starbucks often and don't know exactly what they want and just need to ask questions. I get that some customers are annoying to deal with. But they were disrespectful and disgusting when there was literally no reason to be, because the customers were being nice- for once! I came here a total of three times this past week, every time I witnessed their rude behavior either towards other people for the most part, and me once. No one wants to use the cafe because the vibes of them yelling at each other and to customers is so horrendous. This was so disappointing read more

they are more focused on chit-chatting and their work drama instead of working as a team to get "rush hour" orders moving. I waited 10 minutes for an order when I was the only person in the lobby for the first 5 minutes. Others got their orders before and when I asked for an update because i had been waiting for 10 minutes I was told I needed to wait. I asked for Franken Frappuccino which is green tea Frappuccino with 2 pumps of white mocha and 2 pumps of classic syrup with Java chips. Grand size. It's a holiday Frappuccino for Halloween and i still got it in January by customizing mine. Tastes great. I also got a Frappula Frappuccino which used to be out during Halloween season and I got customized since it wasn't out no more. Basically it's white mocha creme Frappuccino with 2 pumps of mocha syrup on the bottom of the cup, fill the grande cup with the white mocha creme Frappuccino, drizzle raspberry syrup around the cup to give it a blood dripping look and add whip cream on top. Wow. Just wow. I cannot believe it. I ordered a drink from this Starbucks location. Are you wondering what drink it was? Well it would be my pleasure (shout-out #chick-fil-a) to inform you. At this particular Starbucks location, on this particularly evening, a pretty brisk evening may I add, I ordered a nice iced latte with a squirt of caramel... "car-eh-mel?", "carrie-mail?", "car-uh-meel?", "ker-i-mell?" Are any of those the correct pronunciation? If anyone knows how to properly pronounce the noun "caramel" please let me know. I don't want to go the rest of my life with this ignorance. Like a wise man once said, "knowledge is power." This message really resonates with me because I too believe that knowledge is power. I hope you find this Yelp™ review as a way to gain some powerful knowledge. Oh gosh darn! I forgot to complete my review of my iced caramel latte! Speaking of this Yelp™ review, my latte kind of tasted like dirt. It wasn't that amazing. I must say though, I'm sure this was just a mishap in the latte construction process. I'm sure this particular Starbucks location makes lots of amazing lattes, so don't make this review discourage you. Overall, I like lattes, just this one was absolutely and utter trash. Great experience in the drive-thru. There were probably six cars and from pulling in to being done was only about 10 minutes. Order was correct and barista at the window was very pleasant. The good news is Yelp lists at least 10 alternative places to get a decent cup of coffee or tea served with genuine southern respect and hospitality. The bad news is that the immature, disrespectful, and downright snooty staff at the route 70 Starbucks are quite incapable of carrying out a modern business transaction. With over $60 in purchased Starbucks items and gift cards my attempt to exchange a single chipped cup, escalated to the police being called by a hysterical young woman. u It reminds me that Starbucks corporate is a cutthroat multinational profit geared organization who can't possibly train staff be responsive to unusual requests. I will find a place to redeem my $60 in gift cards or maybe I'll just donate them to the homeless shelter . In the week after Christmas even in our small town of Morehead City I suggest at least 100,000 items were returned successfully without incident.. With under-trained and arrogant baristas a simple exchange of merchandise was not possible at this Starbucks. Small sbux with drive-thru. Only count 2 tables, few comfy chairs/sofa - comfortable, but cramped. There are a few tables and benches out front with umbrellas. Parking is much roomier in the rear of the store with an entrance there as well. Staff was melancholy for this rainy Tuesday, but on key as usual. As far as I know, this is the only sbux in this area. If your heading west on hwy 70, it is on your right, across from Belk, Applebees, and a whole slew of other businesses. read more

I actually live closer to the Jacksonville location, but often come here because the staff is so nice and it's much cleaner than the JAX location. I've also never, ever received a burnt shot like I have in JAX. The lattes and espresso always come out perfect. The store did get a makeover early this summer (2013) and it has fixed a lot of the cramped areas, and made it easier to walk through and also find a seat. read more

I have only been a few times, but have never had a complaint. It was nice and quiet when I went in the last time, the barista was helpful as she guided me through the coffee buying process. I have already found a favorite, though I admit it is not very adventurous. My husband enjoys the cold brew iced coffee and I enjoy a regular coffee with their peppermint syrup and cream. I go to this location often only bc there is no real competitive coffee shops around. SERVICE is slow, if you go through the drive-thru expect to be late to where ever you're going. I prefer the long wait verses going inside bc the staff is rude, disorganized and there is no efforts of team work. One batista and 5 others standing around talking and playing on their phones. orders are often wrong. And God forbid you ask them to remake it correctly. Worst Customer Service Ever! I stopped at theMorehead City, NC store this morning at 5:30AM - the normal opening time. I walked up to the door, it was locked. I waited for a minute until one of the staff saw me waiting. She held up her two hands indicating 6. I assumed that they were alittle behind in opening and needed 6 minutes. I waited for 6 minutes. The staff could see me waiting. And then 6 minutes later, she comes to the door and tells me that the store is not opening until 6 AM because of the Holiday. A sign on the door announcing the opening change would have been nice. But, what would have been better was an employee that came to the door and acknowledged my presence and let me know that your store was not opening until later instead of holding up fingers and assuming that I would understand her sign language and leave me waiting for nothing.
