Dunkin Doughnuts has gone down in quality for the last 25 years. The doughnuts aren't made fresh and the selection is sparse but today I went in for the $6 meal and a dozen doughnuts. The staff were great, working hard but not friendly, the coffee was the VERY WORST COFFE I EVER HAD. IT WAS BASICALLY BROWN WATER. Did an online order through the app about 10 minutes prior to arriving, and it wasn't ready yet when I got there. There were at least 5 employees there including a manager. I literally sat there for five minutes while some were working and some were just standing around, talking and nobody approaching me. Finally someone came over to me to ask if I was waiting for something. I told them an online order, which one of them picked up a receipt, looked at it and then made my order. Five minutes doesn't seem like a long time, but when you're just standing there waiting while employees stand around talking, it is. I'm not sure what happened, but I put myself in the shoes of someone that works there, I would at least acknowledge a customer standing there (especially since no other customer was present) I mean, at least lie and say "we have your order and it will be right up). You can't make a unicorn from a crap sandwich. It is not an employee issue; it is a product issue. I ordered two "bagels." One was a sandwich, hot chocolate, and munchkins. These circular discs of depression only appear as bread-like substances. It wasn't egg inserted in there with cheese, so let's not insult the entire poultry or dairy industry. The hot chocolate was hot, so hot that I set it in my fireplace when I returned home and didn't need to turn on the heat all day. It was brown water. Yes, there is not one ounce of chocolate or any favor except water. If you can't find any pond water to drink outside, you have options now. Finally, the munchkins, you now pay 7.99 for four. One of the reasons I like the East Coast is the DD. Everywhere, I mean the only place I could have DD in Cali was if I was at the the Marine Base in Pendleton.. anyway.. I am happy my DD in so close to me and I hit it daily on my commute to work and at least once on the weekend.. This is my local Dunkin and I go pretty often but the service and drinks have been seriously lacking lately. They make the lattes so milky that it looks and tastes like straight milk. I'm tired of wasting my money on coffee that has maybe a tablespoon of actually coffee in it. I've had the people at the window give me the wrong drinks and other peoples online orders (which clearly say the persons name and that it's an online order) to me multiple times. Yesterday was the final straw for me though, I went inside to beat the drive through line and proceeded to stand there at the counter for 10 minutes when the workers just completely ignored me until they felt like helping me. They would look at me and make eye contact but couldn't even take 3 seconds to say " We'll be right with you". This Dunkin never gets my order correct! Today I ordered a Caramel Craze Latte with skim milk. It came with no caramel on top and cinnamon all over the whipped cream. The people at the drive in window never say hello or welcome, the never give you a total. They just rudely tell you to drive up. I am a huge Dunkin Donuts fan! It's close by to my parents house, has a quick drive thru, and also has the Baskin Robbins attached. The drive thru line is usually pretty long during "rush hour" but it moves pretty quickly. Since I don't live in Howell anymore, I only randomly stop in for a snack... but I have never had poor service or been disappointed with what I ordered. read more

I am going to be the complete opposite from most critics here. My experiences have been nothing but good. In the 12 years that I have been frequenting this Dunkin Donuts I have had only one incident which was immediately rectified. I absolutely love this particular location. Let me start with the looks and cleanliness. When I walk into this Dunkin Donuts I get a good feeling all the time. Every time I go into this place it's always up to par. There's never a mess on the floor, the tables are cleaned as soon as they are turned over, the donut, the cookie, the cream case are always in order and the glass always looks clear enough to see through. I have been in some Dunkin Donuts where the cases were dirty looking and the donuts look stale. This location they run a high volume so the donuts come out fresh constantly, the cookie, donut, and ice cream cases are always wiped down. Now onto the staff... I have spoken with the manager, Danielle, and she is a fantastic young lady. She is professional, kind, her manners shine through, she truly exemplifies wonderful customer service skills! I honestly could not say enough good about her, she goes above and beyond for her customers! As for the staff ...over the years I have seen a high turn around and you have to understand it's because they do hire kids coming out of high school and kids in college and I think that's a fantastic thing. Everyone needs to have a starting job and they do hire within the community. I have always been greeted with a a smile and a kind word. I never feel like just a number I always feel like they treat me and my family like a friend. As far as the product as I stated before they have a high volume of business which keeps the donuts the bagels and everything else coming out of the kitchen often. Everything to me has always been fresh... I've never experienced stale Donuts at this particular location. I will also say that they're always on point when making my coffee my daughters specialty drinks or even just my iced tea. We never ever have a complaint. I only patronized this location out of the sheer convenience of its closeness to my house; a choice made in the early morning hours when my cognitive processes are not fully operational enough to convince me that yes, it is worth driving a couple minutes down the road to the other one. 1) Coffee is habitually weak 2) The two men that operate the registers make me sad. You can tell that they absolutely hate their job, the customers, and their co-workers. They have girl time and talk about getting high while the customer waits. Happens every time they're working. 3) They close early. I'm confused, because all indications are that they're 24hr. However, 100% of the time I've gone there past 9:30, they were closed or closing. 4) Rude: There are employees there who will NOT greet you, acknowledge that you've ordered something, mumble/grunt the total, pull out their phone and send a text before giving you back your change (which they screw up), make your coffee wrong, grab the wrong donuts, act like it's your fault, and never, ever, ever, say "Thank you" or "You're welcome." One of the worst DDs in New Jersey. I have lived all over the state and I have been to many. I order my coffee the same way everyday and it's made wrong at least 75% of the time. Staff is young and seem to lack much needed adult supervision. I recently stood at the counter for 5 minutes while the 5 drive through workers ignored me. A young man who just got off shift and was wearing a dirty white tank top walked by me, made himself a sundae at the BR section and walked out from behind the counter and went out the door while I waited. This is hands down the worst Dunkin' Donuts in the area. If I stop here I usually go through the drive thru. More often then not my coffee is either wrong or taste completely burnt. My coffee is what helps me get my day started, so when it's a bad coffee it's a bad day. I don't know if the staff realizes how rude they are when taking your order or if they just don't care. When you order they rudely respond with a sigh and an "anything else." Maybe the staff should take a class on common manners. The place was absolutely filthy. The floors, tables, windows, everything was disgusting. We took our ice cream and left - it was better to eat in the car.
