The staff was great, they move quick and is very helpful...even if it's your first time there and feel overwhelmed by all the great options to choose from, the ladies are very friendly. Walked in, not a large place, but it's clean, smelled great and they have plenty of yummy options that your eyes pick up immediately... you know this place has everything you need from a bakery. They are multiple display cases, fully stocked with a variety of cakes, cookies, donuts, specialty pastries, and more. They have a couple of cake displays, for the full-size, mini-size, and the slices as well. They also do specialty cakes and special order catering too. Their Deli has plenty of side dishes to choose from...especially great if you are going somewhere and you don't want to make anything...let the folks at Giancarlos save the day. To my surprise, they also make pizza pies and to include sell by the slice too !! Ordered two breakfast sandwiches (1x HEC & 1x BEC), both were filling and delicious. The French bread was fresh and soft. We bought the small red velvet cake today, but look forward to returning and try the lemon cake.

It was such a beautiful night, my parents and I came and we each got our own pizza. Pizza came out in maybe 15 minutes, we sat and waited and just chilled. It was a beautiful night. I am so appreciative that Windy Brow has a vegan cheese option, so I could be included! I got the Margherita pizza and subbed vegan cheese. The crust and dough were incredible - so fluffy, perfectly crispy, amazing thick crust. The vegan cheese was also great, and the sauce too. Just a perfect pizza. My dad got a regular Margherita and loved it, and my mom got the fungi pizza with mushrooms and was raving about it. My boyfriend got the pig and fig and (of course) loved it as well. We all raved to each other about how amazing everything was. For a farm to do something like this when they don't need to, shows that they love what they do! You can really feel the love in the pizza. We then got ice cream after since the ice cream stand was still open. I got the vegan dark chocolate sea salt (literally incredible, perfect consistency, I love hard ice cream so this was amazing), my boyfriend got Madagascar vanilla and said it was a perfect classic vanilla, my dad said the cherry vanilla was the best he's ever had, and my mom who doesn't love ice cream got the lemon blueberry butter cake and was raving about it. Phenomenal job!!!!! So appreciative to live near a spot like this. Blessings!

My husband thought it tasted watered down and while I didn't dislike the sweet corn and honey, I wouldn't need to try it again. They do have really cool flavors, and maybe it was my own thing, but I didn't really want to ask to try too many of them as the lines are long here. I tried the taylor ham and french toast one and while interesting... wasn't for me lol The girl taking the ice cream orders was fine. One thing I will say is my little guy is an ice cream loving toddler (as they tend to be) and he had one bite of the ice creams and passed. We were both pretty shocked. Even after several tries, he was not interested... The bakery/store was cute, but not much left. Prices were also a bit steep - $6 for a tony croissant. Perhaps earlier in the morning when they might've been fresher, I would've considered it more, but it looked like it had been sitting. The girl at the register was very nice though. We had originally wanted to come to try the pizza, but when we arrived around 5pm on a Sunday, it was an hour and a half wait even if we wanted the pizza to go. The guy over there was really nice and apologetic even though he didn't need to be. Hopefully we can try it at some point if we're ever nearby again. additional note - there are only 2 port-a-pottys for restroom needs.

Light, fluffy, not too sweet, with a messy but delicious showering of powdered sugar. I would definitely stop by for their fresh, fluffy beignets to be eaten fresh because they make them fresh with every order! Just for their amazing beignets, it should be 5 stars. My friend also got a chai latte, which my friend actually really liked. She said it was one of the best she's ever had. I tried and it was really good, just super sweet. Taste-wise though - delicious! BUT I gave 4 stars because when I went, they were out of the other things I wanted and it wasn't clearly advertised so the poor girl helping me had to keep telling me sad news, one after another. I wish there was a sign stating if something was unavailable or they should've put away displays if items were not available. My friend wanted gelato because there was a picture of it displayed, but they said they didn't have that. Is it only a summer thing? Were they not serving gelato just for that day? I don't know, it was just unavailable. They really should not mislead customers by displaying the picture of the pretty gelato (the picture looked really good!). This also meant that I couldn't get the affogato because they weren't serving gelato. Again, the menu didn't clearly state they were not serving that drink. I also stopped by here specifically because I saw an Instagram post that their hot cocoa was one of the best. The "toasted" one was the one I wanted, but it was not available because they didn't have the marshmallow. Again, that one wasn't covered with a sign that it was unavailable. I ended up getting a drink somewhere else. Also, when we wanted a receipt, the girl helping us said it wasn't working. So it was just a bad timing that day. Poor girl was super nice as she delivered rejections, but I was still constantly disappointed. Again, if I'm ever in the area, I would definitely be back for their beignets and hopefully that next time, the menus will be more clear about what they have and don't have. Things to know before you go: -They have a lot of different donut flavors and fillings, which I didn't try. But make sure to prepare enough time to wait for them to be made fresh and depending on how busy they are at the time you go. It looks like it's worth the wait because so many people got several donuts. -There were about four 2-person tables and one table for 4-5 people and a couch for 2 people to sit snugly. So, not the best place for big groups.

Tres Leches - This was dipped in a vanilla bean glaze and soaked in triple milk cream with whipped cream and a cherry. This was tasty. I could not really tell it was three milks, but it was very moist and the cream was fulfilling. Lemon Raspberry Jam - This was a brioche doughnut with raspberry jam and was coated with a tart lemon glaze. This was solid. There was a ton of raspberry jam, and it was flavorful. I actually wanted more from the lemon glaze. The raspberry overpowered it just a little bit. Strawberry Shortcake - This tasted exactly like the frozen treat. Donerds Donuts is a locally owned small business that's well worth a stop when you're visiting Jim Thorpe. I learned that the owners met in Chile, where they were inspired to start a donut and coffee food truck. They sold their handcrafted donuts from a vintage VW bus on the streets of Santiago before eventually bringing their passion to Pennsylvania. Today, they have two locations, and I had the pleasure of visiting the Jim Thorpe shop. The storefront is charming, welcoming, and has a few seats where you can relax and enjoy your treats with a fresh cup of coffee. Best of all, everything is made fresh on-site. Their display case is filled with an impressive selection of classic and specialty donuts, along with colorful macarons, French toast cinnamon rolls, flaky croissants, and a full lineup of coffee drinks ranging from lattes to iced coffees. Honestly...wow! Deciding what to order wasn't easy. Since it was already midday, I kept it simple and went with a Boston Cream donut. It was incredibly fresh, light, and filled with rich, creamy custard, then topped with a smooth layer of chocolate. Absolutely delicious! A special shout-out to Sarah, who made the visit even better. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain the different donuts and macarons. Everything she described sounded amazing, and she definitely had my mouth watering. I had to show some self-control or I would've walked out with half the display case! She was fantastic. If you're spending the day in Jim Thorpe, do yourself a favor and make a stop at Donerds Donuts. Grab a coffee, treat yourself to one (or a few) fresh donuts, say hello to Sarah, and support a wonderful local business. I know I'll be back the next time I'm in town.
