The one time I had a bad experience I think they were short staffed and it took about 45 minutes for a waitress to even acknowledge us and get us drinks - which was made worse since we were sitting right at the bar. This only happened once though, and I have been back since without issue so I think it was a fluke! The most recent time I went, I had the Italian Sandwich. It was very flavorful and it was a generous portion. My boyfriend had salmon tacos which he really enjoyed. I like how there is a little shop within the restaurant, so you can grab some treats for home! A lot of interesting finds in their freezer take home area as well! They definitely highlight local items which I love!

The cafe is beautifully decorated with charming country furnishings and many of the flower arrangements and hand crafted decorations are also for sale at very reasonable prices. The food and drinks are also really good - they make a great cup of coffee and have many flavor options for both hot and iced. In addition, they offer smart fruit refreshers, chagaccino, chai, and more. Cold Brook also has excellent baked goods, breakfast sandwiches & wraps, and their lunch options are awesome as well. On the lunch menu, you will find sandwiches, wraps, paninis, salads, and soups. They also have daily lunch specials. It earned a permanent spot in my cup holder for the drive home and I was already thinking about my next visit before I got there. The shop itself is cute and welcoming. I even had the chance to watch Scott Groome painting a new mural outside and it's going to look fantastic. The staff were friendly, patient and happy to answer my questions, which made the visit even better. My only complaint is that the menu changes a little too quickly.
