One of the best cafes in the area! Cold Brook is the place where friends meet in North Scituate. The service here is very friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is so homey. The cafe is beautifully decorated with charming country furnishings and many of the flower arrangements and hand crafted decorations are also for sale at very reasonable prices. The food and drinks are also really good - they make a great cup of coffee and have many flavor options for both hot and iced. In addition, they offer smart fruit refreshers, chagaccino, chai, and more. Cold Brook also has excellent baked goods, breakfast sandwiches & wraps, and their lunch options are awesome as well. On the lunch menu, you will find sandwiches, wraps, paninis, salads, and soups. They also have daily lunch specials. Latte looked so good but unfortunately tasted like pure syrup. Couldnt taste the condensed milk at all. Couldnt taste the espresso at all-it was so off putting to me that I couldn't drink more than 2 sips. Also paying almost $10! for it was also off putting-thats just crazy... Staff super friendly. An outstanding family owned business, Cold Brook Cafe is this cozy house turned cafe with delicious pastries, coffees, wraps and sandwiches. The gals at the counter were so kind - they brought out your food and beverages and one even brought my little girl a mini cupcake! Amazing! My vanilla chai tea latte was the best I've had! I was in the area today for the Scituate Art Festival and spotted this cafe. They handled large crowds well, given the volume of people in town. It was a nice and quaint cafe- felt rustic and homey. Looks like a nice quiet place to grab a coffee. Not the best iced chai, mostly ice, but would love to come back and try another drink and maybe something off of their food menu. read more

Busy weekend with the Scituate Art festival but the line moved quickly. Staff were really friendly despite being super busy. They have refreshers for those who don't like coffee or tea and the one I had (mango star fruit and something else) was really good. Last Sunday, I opened my Yelp app and typed in coffee to find a new place near my yoga class. This place popped up, and I was really impressed. I had the avocado sandwhich special with eggs, avocado, onions, goat cheese, tomato, and balsamic glaze. It was so delicious. The inside of the shop is also super cute and I decided to stay and eat there. After ordering They brought my meal to the table. They have lots of pastries available in the case. Do not expect a good cup of coffee. All of their roasts are medium when I asked for a dark roast, they offered to put a shot of espresso After getting my coffee and drinking. It had zero taste. I always enjoy my stop here to Cold Brook Cafe! They always act as if they have a personal relationship with you... even though it's been almost a year since my last visit. They definitely knows how to make you feel special. Sadly, I was only able to make it once during this trip to rhode Island, but we will be back soon and I will be getting my banana hazelnut coffee. This weekend they were just brewing it so I couldn't wait. Instead, I got the chocolate hazelnut for myself and the chocolate macadamia for the other half. Both were delicious as always! What a quaint little restaurant. So typical New England. The menu suggests something for everyone. We had a Mediterranean Wrap. So fresh and so delicious. I watched 2 employees (in 1 car) take up 2 parking spaces with their car and then when a patron asked them to repake and make more room because it was busy He was verbally assaulted. Then once inside the 2 employees continued to verbally assault the patron from across the counter and when he stood up for himself he was thrown out. One of the employees claimed to be the son of the owner (definitely not a good look taking up patron parking and verbally assaulting patrons. Another employee came around and placed her hands on the patron. I will not be back to a place that allows their children and employees to treat patrons like this. This poor gentleman asked a simple question and was trying to help others out and he was assaulted. I was unaware that when you parent own a business it means that you get to treat patron like garbage, I always grew up thinking family run businesses were supposed to be welcoming places. I've been coming to Cold Brook Cafe since about January when I found it. This place never disappoints and it's nice to have a local coffee shop so close to home, there's no local shops that I'm aware of in Scituate or Johnston other than this one. The inside of the shop has a homey vibe, it's always clean and everyone who works there is super friendly. Sometimes I'll catch someone at the counter who remembers my order too which is cool cuz that's never happened anywhere else. This is my favorite place to get coffee from, they also sell food I've had a bagel egg and cheese as well as Banana bread (Banana bread is amazing here).
