It had everything you could ever want a convenience store to have, plus an amazing ice cream bar! Yes, Stewarts is known for it's ice cream (apparently). Not only did they have a scoop shop that served up cones, sundaes, and milkshakes.....they also had an entire freezer aisle of Stewart's quarts and pints to go, complete with mass quantities of all the toppings you could want...in case a late-minute ice cream sundae party were to pop up. I got a dish of ice cream (decorated with toppings from their free toppings bar!!!) and the hubs got a banana split (it was on sale!). The woman at the counter couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. She was a welcoming face at the end of a long drive. Stewart's....I can't wait to see you again!

Now is the time for Spicy Chicken Wafflewich. There were only three in the hotbox when we arrived at the 67 Stewart's Shop. We took all three. They were extremely warm. When we got in the car with our treasures, we opened the packaging to find each was a healthy portion of chicken in between two waffles. The mapley smell of the waffles hit us first, so we anticipated the sandwich would be really sweet. The reality was that the spicy chicken and the sweet waffles yielded an amazing balance of flavors. While the sandwich certainly could've been crispier, you have to take into account that it is pre-made. It was a delightful treat. Overall, we highly recommend the Spicy Chicken Wafflewich. It thoroughly satiated our morning appetite to prepare us for the big day of fun ahead.
