the service has been better at this location than others but there's no drive thru and the store feels dirty inside.

I walked in today for the first time and staff were smiling and friendly. That warranted this review.

Go to Beverly the manager here is a real $&/ch. The coffee taste like Hamilton water.

What an amazing hidden gem! Driving into the city from Newburyport, my family and I stopped here…read morecraving a quick afternoon pick-me-up and we were more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of taste and vibes this place serves up. We were welcomed in and helped super quickly despite being almost closing time, and still got to enjoy some fresh-made, delicious drinks. Their menu offers a variety of traditional options plus a couple fun, unique twists from their flavor syrups to their seasonal specials. (Even if the particular matcha i had wasn't super strong, the caramel banana syrup was INCREDIBLE and made the drink completely worthwhile, so I would highly recommend!) Needless to say, everything we tried was a big hit. Not only would I be more than happy to make the trip to enjoy another of their matcha combos, but I'd come back also for clean, spacious, and calm working atmosphere (luckily there's another location closer to me in Boston too)! I'm so glad I got to knock this cute and fun cafe off my list, and I'm even more excited to come back again!

Items ordered: Iced espresso with a splash of milk, bag of coffee…read more The review: I had seen the wonderful rhetoric about Little Wolf around the food and coffee world, so I had to try it for myself. This place is a whole vibe. Sleek and coastal and somehow also whimsical, Little Wolf is a great space to have your morning recharge. They make their own variety of flavored syrups, ranging from the standard vanilla to a botanical blend called Bouquet. Most importantly, their beans are incredible. The Finca that they served in my drink was a tasty lighter roast, which enticed me to buy a bag (similar roast, not the same). This price is not very clear but it is $28 (out of sight out of mind, I guess). Of course great coffee requires great baristas. Looking forward to coming back!

And, well, I won't keep you in suspense but that first bite of the salted honey butter and jam biscuit was transcendental. It was a little crumbly but so chewy and moist, and the jam and honey butter combo was incredible. Indescribable. They have so many pastry options, as well as breakfast sandwiches, but I really had eyes only for the biscuits. Also tried the cheddar scallion biscuit - amazing. I'm running out of adjectives to describe how good these were. The key for super flaky, tender biscuits is using very, very cold butter and not mixing the dough too much. It was cool to watch people baking in the back kitchen. Got the quiche as well. Tasty, with a nice mix of egg and veggies and cheese, with a well-made crust, but next time I would just get more biscuits. Lots of free parking spots in front and nearby. There's little space inside the store, which makes the queue a bit unwieldy, but it does move quickly and it's well worth the wait (and the drive).

The bakery items are the stars of the show, though their gluten free option was one sad small almond cookie. They have brewed coffee, no espresso. They use beans from Portland, ME. The walls are lined with gourmet food products--some local, some not. There is not a lot of space so when there's a queue, it's a mess.

I stopped at the West Street Cafe earlier today just after 7am looking for breakfast and coffee…read more Spur of the moment when I was chilled from my ride in the fog and mist, and needed a break. What I found was an oasis of superb coffee, remarkable food, great service, and a fine dining experience (even for someone just off a motorcycle.) My large Cappuccino was hot, tasty, and seemingly bottomless. Expertly crafted and delivered. My Egg White Green Omelet was unlike any other omelet I have consumed. Loaded with vegetables and just enough cheese, it was warm throughout and (like my coffee) expertly crafted. I noticed a steady stream of customers coming in for drinks and breakfast items. I can see why. My meal was very modestly priced given the quality, quantity, preparation, and service. There was enjoyable music playing, and the dining space (and restroom) is very tastefully decorated and spotless. I ride this route a few times a year and now have a GoTo place for breakfast (or lunch!)
