This is one of the newest locations for Dunn Bros. located next to the Hy-Vee in Lakeville. They have a lot of seating and outside patio seating. Upon entering there were two employees behind the counter but neither greeted us immediately, seemingly preoccupied with something else. I got an iced coffee. They have your typical pastries available as well as yogurts, etc too.

Stopped in on a BEAUTIFUL Minnesota Sunday afternoon.

Newly opened Dunn Brothers Coffee shop across from Hyvee store and next to the Hyvee gas station. Walked in and immediately observe a large new Diedrich roaster to my right... they are anticipating some serious roasting! Space is more open and airy then other locations I have been to. They have the cool franklin filament and franklin LED lights to create atmosphere. The staff members I encountered were very friendly and one was new to the register but had help. :) I got my usual mocha with an extra shot- "whip cream?" Why of course!! Having completed my marathon training run and caloric burn.... bring it on!! This location should do well as there is no other craft coffee houses nearby with exception of the Charbux inside Hyvee. They have a kitchen on sight for making and prepping sandwiches. I like ordering by pictures and the one up in their wall of a Belgian waffle breakfast sandwich looks quite yummy! In the mood to provide yourself a comfort cup-o-joe?? Come on in and experience the Dunn Brothers difference! Cheers!!

Rather disappointed with this location - We have been to many Dunn Bros and other coffee/tea shops and never had this issue before (which is rather amazing odds). We arrived about 15 minutes before closing and was told we couldn't have any espresso based drinks as they were already cleaning the machine. If you were already shutting down your machines and cleaning them before closing time, you should really change your hours to reflect when you plan to stop serving one of your staples of your store.

My…read morefirst visit didn't totally win me over, but this time the coffee was noticeably better and the overall experience felt more worth it. The space still has a slightly weird food hall vibe (not super cozy coffee shop energy), but the drinks are hand crafted. They use local beans, have handmade syrups, and offer a fun variety of specialty drinks that feel thoughtful and well made. One of my favorite details: the plants throughout the shop have names and many are for sale, which is such a fun, quirky touch and makes the space feel more intentional and unique. Overall, I'm glad I gave it another shot, much better experience the second time and definitely a cool local spot with personality.

I was not sure I was even in the right place at first. Straight ahead as you enter is the coffee shop part of this place, and there is a touchscreen ordering panel but also a cashier. However, we came at 11am on a Saturday and wanted some of the brunch options. We were directed to a table in another part of the facility, given the full Curiouser menu, and abandoned for 30 minutes. No one talked to us again so we left and got brunch at another nearby establishment. I still hadn't had any coffee later that afternoon so I stopped by to try an easier scenario, and I had an excellent iced drink called Absolutely Alice. Perfect sweetness level for me; I like it sweet while still being able to get coffee flavor out of it. So I would definitely return for a coffee. The corners of the building that are meant to be associated with the coffee shop part of the business are nice; lots of plants and homey touches. But even though we did see servers taking orders at other tables, I don't think they have that down. I'd recommend coming here just for small orders at the counter.

However, I was intrigued to check it out, as I have never been to any Dunn Brothers Coffee place in my life. So, I put my Thai bubble tea in my car and walked over here. There was a woman in front of me placing her order. It allowed me to look at the baked goods. I felt like a dessert item. There are seats to the right of the order area where you can take a load off, sip your beverage, and indulge. There was also a cheerful red coffee grinder that looked so pretty with the sunshine spotlighting it. When it was my turn, I got a nice guy helping me out behind the counter. I had my eye on the cinnamon coffee cake, so I ordered it. He was about to enter it in the payment system when he noticed that the woman before me had her payment declined. So, I stepped away as the other woman behind the counter got the female customer to swipe her card again. Everything eventually was sorted out. It allowed me to look at all the syrup bottles available for purchase. I was excited to see sugar-free raspberry syrup. You can also get growlettes. They looked so nice. I then went to pay for my item. I used a credit card. It was straightforward and nothing was declined. Yay! I got my cinnamon coffee cake. I thanked the man and left. I had the coffee cake when I returned to my hotel room. I heated it up slightly. It looked like it was smiling back at me. OMG! It was moist and so delicious. I loved it. It was definitely worth getting. I'd love to return and get a raspberry white mocha and more baked goods. This place has dairy-free options. It's a cool place in my books. (490)

They are so quick getting the orders out I was surprised I didn't have to wait longer. Seating is limited so don't expect to have a spot when you get there unless you get lucky and someone is leaving. Empanadas are $4 but they have a combo 3 for $10 so I got 3 of each flavor, the spicy beef, pineapple, chicken and breakfast. My favorite was the pineapple and the spicy beef. They do sell a dozen empanadas frozen so I might have to do that for when I get cravings and they aren't open. I also had to try a bunch of their spring special drinks, they all sounded so tasty. I love fruity flavored drinks so I tried the white chocolate berry chai, banana berry horchata, lavender latte and a mocha. I normally don't like lavender but this one was pretty tasty with their house made lavender syrup! The rest of the drinks were really good too except a bit sweet for my taste. They do have oat milk but charged a dollar for it. Hours are limited so make sure you check before you go. Oh also bring cash if you can. They do charge extra for credit cards.

It's not too sweet which I enjoyed, and the flavor was more subtle. The large latte was more milk forward so you may want to add an extra shot of espresso if you prefer stronger drinks. The espresso tasted great! The empanadas were so delicious. They're baked, not fried, so the crust is softer. The breakfast and spicy beef empanadas were my favorite! The breakfast empanada was so comforting. The spicy beef empanada was incredibly flavorful but if you can only tolerate Minnesota spicy then it may be on the spicier end for you. The chicken empanada had good flavor but the chicken was a little dry. The staff were super friendly and there was plenty of seating available.

The bread is fantastic--crusty, fresh, and authentically French. They also have an incredible selection of beautiful pastries, cakes, and other classic French treats that look like they came straight out of a Parisian pâtisserie. And the coffee is absolutely exquisite. One thing that always makes me smile is that while the pastries look and taste authentically French, they're definitely American-sized! They're enormous. If you're hungry, you're in for a treat. More often than not, I'll enjoy half of one there with a coffee and take the rest home in a box for later. It's a wonderful little café with a relaxed atmosphere and a great place to sit and unwind. If you're in the Apple Valley area and looking for something a little different--something with a genuine European feel--I can't recommend Café de Paris highly enough.
