Road my bike 10 miles one way to check out this coffee shop. As it was afternoon and super hot, I asked what they had that was cold on the menu. They offered a homemade lemonade. I thought that sounded delicious and refreshing and it was. A perfect combo of sweet and tart. While there was plenty of seating inside in the cool air, I opted for an outdoor setting. The patio was too sunny so I walked across the street and found a nice bench in the shade. Service was great. There was bike parking right outside of the shop. Great stop. read more

While I want to love Tapestry and am so glad to have any independent coffee shops around, there's a few reasons I can no longer give it five stars. They have awesome, unique drink options - especially seasonally. Some seasonal drinks and flavors nail it, but more often than not, I wouldn't know what the flavor was if I didn't order it as they just don't have enough of the flavor. My biggest complaint is cleanliness as it often looks like some deep cleaning is in order. They roast their own coffee which is awesome, though if you're a "coffee snob" like we are, we've noticed their beans are flat so we don't tend to buy them unfortunately. Service is always super friendly and I still prefer going here to a chain. They also often have tea drinks on their seasonal menu which I love that they cater to tea drinkers as well. read more

I was looking for a local coffee shop to start my morning and tapestry coffee was a great spot! They had many coffee options and customizations to choose from. I ordered a couple of seasonal flavors and breakfast items to share. They had 2 sizes to choose from, a 10oz and 16oz. The 16oz has 4 shots of espresso in it so it will definitely fuel your morning. The breakfast items I purchased were a breakfast sandwich which is fully customizable and the avocado toast. The breakfast sandwich was really good but the avocado toast wasn't my favorite. I think the avocado mash was a little too bitter. Opt for a breakfast sandwich and you won't be disappointed. read more

We were in between Grandkids basketball games and stopped in at Tapestry. What a good decision. It was busy but the staff easily handled the flow. We ordered our favorites and a couple of treats. Everything we ordered was excellent. This is a cozy small town gem coffee house. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Extremely professional. We had a great visit. I've been here several times since moving to the South suburbs and you honestly wouldn't be able to tell you're in the suburbs - this cafe rivals some of the coffee shops in the city! Love the wrap around decor throughout the cafe and every time I'm here, the staff are super welcoming and always greet everyone with a smile. I love how they offer seasonal drinks. The pastries in the case are delicious too. They run out fast though ! The early bird gets the worm. Recently tried the lemon poppyseed latte and it was incredible. I had their hot vanilla latte with alternative milk and a create it yourself sammi. Great choices. The coffee gave me the jitters which was what I was going for so I can focus on my work. I wished I had a real cup of coffee and not in disposable togo cup since I was there for a couple hours for work. Coffee was ok but the coffee art was off. Maybe the barista rushed through my order? I'm a big fan of this local shop! The drinks are fantastic, and the Avocado Toast is absolutely delicious--definitely a step above the big chain coffee spots. That said, I do have one small suggestion for improvement. Online orders are often delayed and rarely ready at the stated pickup time. It's caused me to be late for work a few times, and I've had to order elsewhere (Starbucks/Caribou) during weekday mornings. The bigger chains have my order ready on time 95% of the time. On many occasions, I've arrived at Tapestry to pick up my order and noticed walk-in customers being served first, even if they arrived after me. One additional staff member, or a more streamlined process for online orders, might be worth considering. I love this place and would prefer to keep ordering online, especially during the week, but the delays make it a bit challenging. For those who stick to in-person visits, though, this is a 5/5 coffee shop--no question! I hope the online ordering process improves soon because this place is truly a gem. read more

Always great service here! I love that they have a small core group of baristas because it keeps the drinks consistently made the same and delicious! Tried the spring menu items today, blueberry latte and the lemon poppyseed latte (both iced). Blueberry was super good, very subtle flavor so it still tasted like coffee which I love. The lemon poppyseed has coriander bitters which were a bit overpowering in my opinion. Love following tapestry on Instagram so I know when they create new drinks (highly recommend)!! read more

Growing up in the 90s, coffee shops were the domain of the cool kids. The ones who were just naturally cool and didn't really have to try. But somewhere along the way cool became pretentious, and coffee shops became that, too. Tapestry is a throwback to the 90s cool kind of coffeehouse. The vibe is really chill and relax. But they also take their coffee very seriously. The little things, like putting two shots of espresso into small lattes and using whole milk in them, show in the coffee. Everything is meticulously done. The bourbon caramel latte was perfect. And the iced version of it was even better. The baristas were on point as well. First time here and I have to say this place has EXCELLENT coffee. The brew time on the espresso drinks and whatever bean blend they're using gives the drinks a deep and rich flavor but doesn't go over into bitterness (like, for example Dunn Bros can). Got the Bourbon Caramel Latte with Oat Milk and I think this might be my new favorite. Also got the the breakfast sandwich, which was perfectly toasted and had lots of flavor. The lunch menu also looks really good - will definitely have to go back and try it out. My only complaint is that I wish it was closer to my house! read more

I'm a barista from California, but I have family in Minnesota, so this is always my first stop whenever I visit! Today, my cashier was Madeline and my barista was Katie, and they were the sweetest! Madeline was super nice and Katie can make a killer cortado. My oat lemon poppyseed latte was absolutely delicious and the service was A+!! All the baristas on shift went out of their way to make this one of the best coffees I've had in a bit! They serve local milk which is super cool. Such an adorable little coffee shop in downtown Lakeville! It's due time Lakeville got a high quality coffee shop. I ordered the rose latte and it was fantastic! I usually have to drive to the city to get coffee this good, so I'm extremely happy there's a place in downtown I can go get nice coffee at now! We stopped in on recommendation from family while we were visiting the area. Awesome service and food was served to us at this establishment in Lakeville, MN. Formerly a bank, it was nice to see the owners kept the original bank safe in the mix of old and modern decor. There's a very nice area outside with patio seating. Food was very good and the service was memorable as the servers were extra friendly. They were very busy, but attentive and engaged in extra conversation. Locals are fortunate to have the opportunity to come here. I wish we would have been able to come back later when the wine bar was as open. read more

This little corner of a coffee shop/wine bar is so cute. Specifically, the wine bar that they just opened was such a fun experience. Ordered everything off the menu except for the hummus platter, and every single board was AMAZING. The cheese and meat board came out first and it blew us away. I was obsessed with the presentation of it. But, by far, the brown butter cake was the BEST THING ON THE MENU. Stopped by here after checking out the Lakeville farmer's market. Ordered the seasonal drink "Orange Cream Nitro" and I was not disappointed. The location was very convenient with street parking. The option to sit inside or in the patio really made for the experience worth the quick stop.
