Love this Starbucks although dislike the parking headache. Philip is one of the sweetest baristas as he's always remembering guests and connecting with them on a personable level. The coffee shop is clean and a great place to rock out on homework. The only frustrating part here is utilizing the order ahead feature. Parking isn't great, sometimes running in to grab your order takes just as long as going in to order. Really wish they'd make two of the spots pick up order parking to help move the flow and free up spots for those truly running in and out. Overall, love this location. It's in a nice spot for a stroll with your drink or they even have outdoor seating which is really pleasant in the summertime. read more

A very nice and spacious Starbucks with plenty of seating for a quick meeting or if you just want to hang out to get some work done. It does seem to fill up pretty quickly, but I love all the individual high chair seating around the windows. The service is always very friendly and fast. Especially considering the sheer number of people that come to this location. I have never had an issue with parking. They have quite a few 2 hour spots right outside and a parking garage right around the corner. No drive thru at this location. This is a grab and sit or grab and go. read more

I've been hitting up this Starbucks frequently to work and/or study. I like that its across from CorePower, so when I need a break from studying, I can run over and take a class there. This location always seems to be busy, but its well staffed and there are always places to sit, especially if you are a party of 1. Even though there is a lot of traffic in and out of the store, the staff do a great job of keeping everything clean and emptying the trash, etc... They also do a good job of taking names for orders so people know when their order is up. Overall, this is one of my favorite Starbucks in the area. read more

They "can't turn off" or switch from heavy metal noise pollution music in the background & we have to wait till it plays out. Ouch. That turns all food & drink entirely sour. 10% of the population likes heavy metal. A big plus is that it is so close to Half Price books on Excelsior. I don't go to SB in general, but I would go here anytime. I love the seating around the fireplace. The hot chocolate is fine. Not the pure type so it's plenty sweet. Of course the coffees are way too strong for me to drink. I can tell just by smelling it. The baristas do rock. This one had the most beautiful red lipstick I've ever seen in my life. We had a couple of hours to kill before our trek to McCoys, just across the way. Easy to read here, not too loud. If this were my area, I'd definitely sell out and be a regular. I finally found the one I don't hate. Once again the exception proves the point. read more

I usually don't review super corporate joints as you usually know what to expect, but I really have to give this particular Starbucks credit. They are by far the friendliest staff, and it's about 85% regulars that come here. They remember EVERYTHING about them! It's great and really builds a sense of community. On top of that, they're quick and I've never waited more than 3 minutes for a drink. This team is amazing and it's my preferred Starbucks, no questions asked. read more

This Starbucks is simply The Ritz of Starbucks' in the Twin Cities metro in my opinion. The atmosphere is truly wonderful, and they have a large amount of very comfy seating. Find one of the purple chairs to sink into and you'll be in heaven! The location can't be beat either! Come here after the gym, or before going to Trader Joe's! It's all the benefits of Starbucks in a friendly and slightly upscale block, but at the same normal prices. The staff does a great job, and really, you hardly know they are there when you find a spot by the fireplace. I'd bring a friend here for a great conversation! I usually wouldn't go into a Starbucks, but other than Target, or an organic focused cafe, Starbucks is the only other place I can find those Naked brand veggie and fruit smoothie drinks. If you've been to one Starbucks, you've been to all(with the exception of the Starbucks at Shibuya Crossings). The staff and service is enthusiastic, neighborly and welcoming. The space there is roomy and comfortable with many tables, bar seating, couches and armchairs. There's also outdoor cafe seating on the sidewalk. The only thing that really stood out to me about this Starbucks when compared to others, is that not only is it always crowded there, it appears to be used as an extra office space and conference room for young and middle-aged professionals in the area. I wonder sometimes if those people spend their entire day there? Don't they have work? In a real office? lol. read more

I love this Starbucks. It has a grand fire place in the center of the cafe. They have a Clover machine!! Meaning, you can order any type of coffee you'd like brewed. There is also a side nook area that seems a little quieter for those in need of studying. My only complaint is the music. It's a very repetitive playlist. It's always busy with friends catching up, people studying, having business meetings, etc. I really love the cozy and inviting fireplace and the huge patio outside. The staff is super organized with taking and preparing drink orders so you can get in and out quickly. They're consistent with making delicious drinks and patient with my indecisive drink orders which makes it one of my favorite locations. read more

Starbucks to me is amazing ! I don't tend to enjoy extremely sweet beverages , but I personally believe that the Starbucks iced chai tea is the best around. I've actually never had a hard time finding very close parking, and it's right down the street from Trader Joe's (easy to get there on back roads and not have to go out onto Excelsior). Here's a feel good story. My daughter loves her morning coffee. So we usually stop at Starbucks and get coffee, before I drop her off at school. This year the school tightened up their coffee rules so, it was still OK to bring coffee, but you had to have a mug with a fixed lid. So, recently, we bought a very nice mug (look for the Stainless Steel Clip Tumbler with Handle). Daughter loved it and it met the new school rules. OK now for the bad part. Tonight my wife was cleaning the tumbler and somehow pulled off/broke off that tab thingie that seals the hole in the lid. I tried for a half hour to re-attach the broken part and failed miserably. So, with no other options, I went to this Starbucks to see if they knew any trick to re-attach the tab thingie. I told them my sad story. They too struggled to re-attach it and failed. So here's the good part. They just took back the busted tumbler and gave me a brand new Stainless Steel Clip Tumbler (with Handle). They say... "You never get a second chance to make a first impression'. This family is very impressed with the customer service of this shop. read more

We come every morning... 7 days a week (I know, it's excessive) I can't tell you how many times my day has been turned around in the positive by just grabbing coffee. This Starbucks has one problem that keeps me from coming very often, even though it's a half-mile from my apartment: It does not sell newspapers. Instead, you are pointed at paper boxes outside for which you need exact change. Nothing like fumbling for coins on a zero-degree morning.
