I know now it doesn't matter. So I decided to gather my thoughts before trying to figure out again the correct door to enter and spare me looking like an idiot standing there looking so very confused. Im not a bimbo but this store seems to bring it out in me!! Anyway I as I reached for my trolly I got my usual volt of static electricity from it. As I recoiled my arm in shock looking like a Harry Potter fan trying to do a magic trick I knew I could forget my street cred and off I went to explore the store! The aisles are so small and narrow two trollies can not pass buy each other without one person having to reverse or push themselves against the shelves whilst trying not to let the contents fall to the ground. I have shopped here about three times but each time it is the same I park my trolly in some corner of the shop and walk around helplessly with my super valu brochure in my hand searching for the the items I want. Yesterday I just couldn't get it together I end up having to ask whom I guess was the manager to direct me to nearly every thing I wanted from the brochure!. I was was like a mute cavewoman pointing to the pictures in the brochure. I was directed swiftly to the area where each item was, and then I would point again and be swiftly directed again. I am normally OK at shopping and finding products but this shop is just pretty frustrating! Ok to the good points - the staff are very friendly and helpful and there are some good deals in store. Also you dont need a coin for the trolly!

Take your time browsing the online supermarket and then pick your delivery time. The delivery service charge fluctuates anywhere between 3 and 6 euro - not bad! And, your groceries can be delivered within a day and down to a two-hour window of time. Everything is at your fingertips - from exfoliating facial scrubs to a jar of jalapenos. You'll find stuff that can't be bought at your corner convenience store. Lose the shopping cart! Let your fingers do the walking and put your money where your mouth is ... until delivery time!

Tesco Online--Personal Experience:…read more Once you've registered, the online store is very easy to use. Products have clear (if occasionally optimistic) pictures and good info. Discounts/multibuys etc are marked. Product categories are well organized and the site is easy to navigate. There are a good range of delivery times and prices. Off peak times are a LOT cheaper. I've found deliveries to be on time about 7 out of 10 times. What is annoying is that a delivery can be up to an hour late without any contact from the store (in fact, if you check the order number on the website, it reads 'delivered' even though it hasn't been). That said, if you call their helpline about a late order, they are very good about getting in touch with the driver and letting you know what happened/how long it will be. If they're out of a product, they'll substitute another (you get the cheaper price if the substituted item was more expensive). Mostly, the substitutions are spot on, but you can opt for 'no substitutions' on an item if you are leery (I do this on pet food as they tend to get substitutions wrong...no my kitten does not think that 'adult tuna' food is as good as 'baby cat chicken'...and in all fairness, Tesco aren't psychic so 'no substitutions' it is). The delivery drivers are an odd bunch. They're all really helpful if you have questions and very good about carrying deliveries indoors etc. Some are sociable, say 'hello', smile and have a quick chat. Others grunt once and get the job over with. Occasionally one stares at you with a look that says "I hate you for buying bulk cat litter but I'm not allowed to say it". I prefer the friendly ones, it's a little weird to have someone in your home who doesn't even say hello, just marches in the door and past you. Overall, it's an excellent service. I used it once and was sold. Now I use it every couple of weeks for bulky/heavy items or a big shop. Definitely worth a try.

When we heard here of the prevalence of the "Chip and PIN" system here, we were super worried and braved awful ATM fees to withdraw cash down the way. Per Chase/British Airways: "Further, customers in the United States traveling outside the U.S. are not required to obtain a PIN. Merchants in Europe (or other countries) are required to: - Accept all cards with magnetic stripe - Honor all cards bearing the Visa/ MasterCard brand mark if they accept MasterCard - Accept magnetic stripe as well as chip cards, even in markets that are evolving to 100% chip card local issuance You should urge the merchant to insert the card into the terminal and follow the prompts. The terminal will automatically request a signature. If the merchant insists on not accepting the card, please call us at the number listed on the back of your card, to report the merchant name and address. " The folks at the store were very nice and may have been scared by various tactics used at the outset of Chip-and-PIN stuff (see the Wikipedia article) into refusing our card, but apparently it's a legal no-no, and we'd like to prevent other visitors from having to go through the rigamarole that we did.
