looked at web page to rent a gas cut and break saw. price advertised is $165/day. i show up to pick up saw on morning of 12-31. the guy puts everything in computer and says "your total is $338.00". I said you're out of your F%*kin mind. Unfortunately I wasn't near home and had my helper and a commitment to do the job so I rented it. get to the job and within 30 seconds of use blades fall off and smoke from belt. had to return 20 min each way to get another. Anyway, very sneaky, deceptive and rented me a piece of garbage. It's a horrible way to do business. i would never rent again fr them. if you do, make sure you call and get a final price, not the lies on the web site. they get an F read more

I recently had the opportunity to rent a piece of equipment from Durante Equipment Rentals in Carmel NY and I was very impressed. Their sales rep Jason was 100% knowledgeable and followed up with every email in a very timely manner. Their prices are very reasonable and even when they didn't have a piece I needed in at that time they found one and got it to the location right away for me. During this time of slowdown and social distancing ,we were able to participate in a virtual training class for the new MEWP standard. Our Instructor , Johannes( HANS) was great!! I participated in a few virtual training sessions and wasn't really impressed, but HANS kept us involved and we left with newfound knowledge and a better sense of all parties involved and responsibilities of each and to each other Definitely time and funding well spent!! Terrible experience, reserved a 14ft trailer at Danbury location and didn't bring the right one. 20ft trailer is what they brought, no tools to adjust pintle height so that didn't work either. I asked if they could get the right trailer by tomorrow, was informed they couldn't and I should go pick it up myself. Very unprofessional and no customer relations. I was connected to Cassie who was incredibly patient in her explanations and recommendations in helping me rent an excavator. It was months later that I finally decided to secure the rental, and she continued to pick up our transaction seamlessly. Delivery and pickup guys were also very courteous and professional. Our office building needed work done at the top of the building. We had a person to do the work, but not the equipment to safely get the job done. Durante was quick to respond to our needs and very experienced and knowledgeable. Within 30 minutes of sending the first email to them, I had a quote for the appropriate equipment. Unfortunately, the person doing the work had a last minute emergency for when the machine was rented and we had to make a last minute adjustment to our rental date. Cassie was super understanding and jumped on the case right away. She was fast to make sure everything was in order and quick to respond to any other problems and needs that came up along the way.
