The outdoor mini golf area host a lot of free events for children. I go walking there during the morning hours , all passerby's greet each other. The park staff is friendly and the park is clean.

Often times, I meet my friends, if they can't make it I feel safe walking alone. Safety officers are visible and Nassau County PD conduct tours. The bike lane and lane for walkers are respected by both. The restroom are clean. There is two kiddy parks and BBQ area. The park is a good way to clear my mind and get mine steps in. The tree lines paths are beautiful during the change of season.

It's pretty because the picnic areas are largely under a canopy of old growth trees and there is a very mild and modest nature trail which traverses the front of the park to the rear entrance. It's nice that there are different equipment areas targeted for different ages, and they are far enough apart that the young kids won't feel too deprived. No family you say? Well then you get to enjoy on of the dozen or so bars located within the confines of this petite 1.1 square mile oasis. There truly are great restaurants to be found here. Villa D'Este, Stella's, Torigo (my favorite), Trinity, and Jameson's. For a small town it packs a big punch when it comes to wining and dining. If you're ever in the Flo P, and need some pointers, don't hesitate to ask me.

They still have spacious basketball and paddle ball courts, buy the park itself in the back is abominable, with overgrown weeds and torn up equipment. This is a shame esp since no one goes beyond the kids area. I've been working out in this area lately and also noticed that all the park openings ate locked during park hours, specifically Crans, Goblin and Keil streets. I've been to many town parks in Hempstead and cannot understand why these are closed. Another issue is that the one opening into this park is a driveway access, which makes it dangerous for pedestrian traffic. This park has an opening for pedestrians but again this is another point into the park that is locked. I wish I could give a negative 5.
