Having a rough day, one of those days were you just wanna go back to bed and pull the covers over your head and pretend it didn't happen. So coffee being a good alternative to murder I decided to get some. Note this is only my third time going to any Dutch Bros. So me and my mood pull up and order and while I was waiting the girl at the window just struck out conversation with me and she was just so cool and totally changed my mood and I left there very happy. She was genuinely interested when she said "how are you?" and she asked me about my cat and what his name was and it was just awesome. It was the greatest experience they were so cool and the coffee is really good. I wish I had gotten her name, but it was just all in all a great experience, and I truly appreciate it. read more

I Absolutely love Dutch Bros.!!! & this location has the most amazing group of young people. We are always greeted with a smile & happy uplifting energy. For example Hailey, she is a ray of sunshine Im a loyal first of the month costumer (stickers with drink) & when COVID-19 happened there was a delay on stickers. This is the third time I've been to Dutch bros. I came to Idaho to visit family. I decided to go with a water today since I've just finished a workout. The water was completely free :) The workers were really nice and sweet and they have a lot of energy which I liked! They play some chill music to enjoy while you sip your drink. They also have heaters on the sides just incase it's really cold and the customers want to feel warm. The drinks are amazing definitely recommend trying many of the drinks as they will all not leave you disappointed!! read more

I generally love this coffee shop. I'm sorry to report that this morning I was really disappointed with the customer service. Electricity is out on the entire block, the woman taking the orders doesn't say "I'm sorry, is there something else you'd like?" Instead, she's saying, "I'm going to burst your bubble this morning." It's not cute, it's not amusing, it's not engaging, it simply RUDE. So, the bubble burst is that, I can just as easily get a cup of joe for a buck, down the block. Today was the worst Dutch experience of my life. It was my first time going to this Dutch bros and to start off the guy taking our order was rude but I get it not everyday is a good one so I was like okay maybe he isn't having a good day. But then we get up to the window and we were handed a drink we specifically said no nutmeg on it because my passenger was severely allergic to it and it had nutmeg on it so I asked for it remade with no nutmeg and I watched them scoop the nutmeg off and dump it in a different cup to hide the left over nutmeg that hadn't gotten off so then I was like okay ill just go to a different one to get the drink. But when handed out our blended drink it was barely blended mainly ice chunks. So the girl says okay have a nice day but we asked for straws which we hadn't received for our 4 drinks so she hands us 1 then I ask for 3 more and she practically threw only 2 straws in our car and walked away when I asked for another one. So it was the worst Dutch experience I've ever had. Will never order from there again. read more

Despite all the options we have for coffee, from Starbucks and McDonald's to smaller mom and pop coffee shops, the Dutch Bros always have a steady flow of traffic at their coffee shack. And from what I hear, the location in my little town is the highest grossing in the nation. This perplexes me. What exactly lures customers to steer their cars into these long lines of bumper-to-bumper traffic? It can't just be the drinks, can it? I once heard about a man who lost his job and couldn't afford his regular order, but everyday the loyal customer waited in line because he missed the baristas' smiles and friendly conversations. Maybe that's their secret. A friend gave me a five dollar gift card to Dutch Bros, and with that, an opportunity to check it out on someone else's dime. I made sure I had plenty of time to wait in line only to find that they were fast. Really fast. And yes, they were nice. A little too nice. A teen wearing skinny jeans and moppy hair kneeled by my car window and exclaimed, "Hey, bro! Good morning!" Apparently this was not a Hey-how's-it-going? What-can-I-get-you? kind of greeting, because soon after he asked if I had a big day ahead of me and declared that it was a beautiful morning, which was a strange thing to say considering it was grey and freezing outside. And to make the comment stranger, he wore only a thin shirt two-sizes-too-small to keep him warm. After a bit of small talk, he finally got to my order, grooving his head with a big smile as he punched my request into an iPhone. Apparently my order made him happy. As I pulled up to the shack, I could hear the party was just getting started. Muffled music thumped inside its walls. A young man wearing a trucker's hat threw the window open, and a wave of rock rushed out as employees sang and weaved around one another, pulling down levers, spraying whip cream, and stirring drinks while a disco ball and lights flashed fluorescent colors on the ceiling. They all looked so happy. If laying on a cloud strumming a harp was heaven for medieval peasants, then mixing drinks in a cramped shack was heaven for these millennials. The barista with tattoos on his forearms and knuckles leaned on the window ledge like a bartender and shouted, "Hey, man! How are you doing?" "Doing well. Just coming for a cup of coffee," I said. "Yeah?! Cool! Right on! Excited about the day?" he asked. I wasn't sure how to respond. Was it Friday? A holiday? My anniversary? A jolt of anxiety shot through me for causing a lull in the conversation. Do I share what I do for a living? How much does one share about their day at Dutch Bros? Should I apologize for making our pleasantries awkward? I played it safe and answered, "Yeah, pretty excited." "Awesome!" he said, then disappeared and returned with my coffee. I thanked him, turned down his advances to start a loyalty punch card, and purred my Prius out of there as he fared me well, saying, "It was good seeing you. Have a good day!" It was good seeing me? My goodness. They were so upbeat. So...happy. Don't get me wrong--Dutch Bros runs a tight ship! To socialize and get you in-and-out is no small feat. But the happiness almost comes across as disingenuous, almost manic. I think Starbucks has a nice balance. Good coffee, good manners. They welcome you, but they don't posture themselves for a conversation. They smile, but they're not blown away by your order. Just business with good manners. Maybe I'm getting old and need to lighten up. It's just buoyant service. But I can't help but wonder: What if an employee was having a bad day, feeling a little down? Unable to forge a smile, force interest, or muster appreciation over mundane orders. Do they call in sick? Down a few espresso shots? Recite the first verse of the Dutch Bros creed--to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind--until they're in the zone? Because there doesn't seem to be a middle ground. When they're working, they're feeling it. Whatever they're doing, I like it. It may not be for me, but I like it. Some people need a little social pick-me-up with their coffee. And if that's what it takes to send people on their way to a good day, well, then, let's keep those drive-thrus packed. read more

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. They're open 24 hours, so it's my go-to place for late night ( or way too early) espresso. I just LOVE Dutch Bros!!!!! I live in Houston and we don't have them down here, but every time I visit family in the Boise area they know I must visit Dutch Bros as many times as possible. The Caramelizer is better than the caramel drink from *bucks. I even got the iced Caramelizer and was quite impressed- it was delicious. The people who work here are high energy and super friendly. The team at this Dutch brothers needs to seriously step it up, when they are placing orders on the line of cars outside they need to pay attention to the car lineup. I Watched six cars order in one line beside me and before me because the "teenage cool" employees were too busy goofing off to realize that I had been in line Long before the rest of those cars. Wow! The people working here were amazing! It was our first time trying dutch bros and we didn't know what to order...however the employee helping us out was extremely helpful and explained to us what they have. They even gave us a punch card to get a free drink at our next visit and some ornaments!! The drinks weren't really good to be honest ( a bit too earthy and bland for our taste). Having moved to the area about 2 years ago I was always hearing about Dutch Bros! "Dutch Bros is so great!", "How have you NOT had Dutch Bros' coffee!?", "YOU HAVE TO TRY THEM!", so one day before work I left 10 minutes early and decided to try out the famous coffee chain; I mean... it can't be any worse than Starbucks, so why not? I was the 4th car in line, but I was in and out in 7 minutes. I don't order a complicated coffee, but usually coffee stands get it wrong. Not these people! They asked me exactly how I liked it and it came out perfect. I don't think I've ever had a better iced Americano with two raw sugars, a scoop of honey, topped with soy in all my years getting that specific drink! They were super friendly, as well, so it made tipping and wanting to return to this location even easier. read more

Really sadden with my experience at this Dutch Bros this morning. What normally has always been a great experience turn​ed into me never going to that location again. I have gone to this Dutch Bros for the last two years, always experiencing the best customer service which made me want to keep going back, despite the up charges in my rebel drinks. This morning as I pulled in with my friend I got greated by the sweetest girl, then pulled up after I ordered bragging to my friend about loving this place so much. I was paying in cash, my great experience soon turned into an unfriendly welcome. A gal came up to my car to take my cash, no greeting. She stated " it's $7" as I was pulling my cash out she stood there annoyed with eye rolling and all. I then stated nicley "oh your drinks went up, I have been here in a couple months" she then stated "yeah" when asking for my punch card I stated I didn't have one, another rude sigh came out of her mouth, she then punched my card and said " I'll be back" after disappearing into the building she can back handed me my cash, I said " have a nice day" no response. Thinking she just had a bad day, I brushed it all off, we all have bad days right? Wrong. When pulling up to the window the gentleman was even worse with the experience and I felt like an unwanted visitor and not to mention he made it a point to just smile like a jerk when I said "Have a nice day" I used to love this place but it seems like they have people working there that hate people and their job, which I know is NOT the Moto Dutch Bros goes by. I used to love Dutch, but over the years the constant rotation of employees and long lines began deterring me. I went a couple weeks back and witnessed a conflict between an elderly couple, the employees on staff, and the customers outside waiting. The elderly couple had gone through the drive through to get their coffee and had asked for it to not be too hot. They were "helped" by three different people, none of which made sure their drink was not scalding hot. The couple paid, got their drinks and began to drive away, but quickly came back. The lady got out and went to the window (which had patrons at it) and told the two employees directly behind the counter how upset she was; none of the three had gotten their order right. The woman suggested it could be the loud stereo (which even I will attest makes it extemely hard to hear-however, when people are having to tell to be heard, it makes it easy for the next car in line to hear every detail!), or the fact that all the individuals inside were too busy dancing and goofing around. But irregardless, the woman no longer wanted her drink and left. As she left the patrons began yelling after her, trying to antagonize her with things like, "You're too old to be coming here anyways! This is for the younger generation! " and, "F+*$ you old hag!" I watched the employees inside as they made no effort to try to make amends with the lady before she and her husband drove away, nor did they try to deter the patrons from verbally attacking the woman. Having worked years in various customer service jobs, including jobs as a barista, this was hard to overlook, and I immediately got out of the drive up line and took my business elsewhere. What I'm trying to get at is that it seems the desire to appear young and hip, along with appealing largely to the younger crowd has allowed for severe lax in customer service ideals. The Dutch Bros. I used to once enjoy and look forward to has now become something equivalent to the loathing many feel towards Wal-Mart, McDonalds, or other similar institutions. read more

WOW! This is by far one of the best coffee shops I've been to. They have excellent coffee and smoothies. Plus, they must have every flavor of syrup that Torani makes. They are now open 24 hours as well, so this is a frequent stop for me especially when it's late. They don't have drip coffee: they have americanos (shot(s) of espresso and hot water), which IMO is way better anyway. The only thing is that they often have their music cranked way up and you have to shout or they will lean out the window and close it down a little at times so that they can hear you. Also, I could see some people being put off by the baristas because they usually will ask you what you're up to and how you're doing, though they are clearly just trying to connect with their customers and be friendly. They usually have bumper stickers that are yours for the asking as well. This is by far the best coffee in Caldwell. read more

Ok 1st thing I don't enjoy writing bad reviews. Now I love Dutch bro and drink there drinks daily, even ice water. Today is no different I pull up order ice water cash in hand and the girl says they are free I tell her I usually pay the sweet girl goes to check and say when you by a regular drink they are free when you just get water they are $1 each. I said thank you sweetheart and drove up to the Window... paid $2 the girl says they are $3.50 for water WTF... I order from here everyday and have never paid more than $1 for water! The girl also goes on to tell me sorry that I have been misinformed (me misinformed for four years every day?) and the girl that gave me the price in the drive-through is brand-new she is wrong, she just went and asked you the price and now your saying something different! It's not about the money! Talk about bad service! Over priced water! And lack of knowledge between a group of members! And the new girl was to sweet and I think an excellent addition to Dutch Bros the old Dutch Brose member should probably go through training again! $3.50 waters I'll be taking my Business elsewhere!!! As well the 2 others in the car with me! Everyday I pay $0.50 to $0.75 for the ice waters!!! And every morning I stop and get some sort of drink from this establishment (not water) even in winter storms! read more
