It's been a tough few days but my daily trip to Jolts & Juice, has not only provided me some much needed caffeine but an emotional break as well. I'm a creature of habit, so once I find something I like, I stick with it. Someone recently told me that it takes a lot to mess up a vanilla latte, I told them, you might be surprised how many people do. Thankfully, J&J do not. My daily iced, vanilla latte with oat milk with an add shot has been great. If you read any of my other reviews, do you know how important customer service is for me. After only two days of rolling through their drive-through, they had my order memorized. After hearing why I was in town, they also gave me a punchcard with holes already punched, for a free drink. I don't know if the barista is allowed to make that decision on her own, but if not, I pray the owner reads this and instead of getting upset, praises the barista for having a kind and compassionate heart. Plus, I am sure in the coming days I will more than make up that one drink. Dealing with cancer is not fun and anyone who has done so, knows how important those brief moments of joy really are. I might be a softy, but a free latte in the middle of a cancer battle brings a little hope to a hard situation. Much love to that barista and kudos to Jolts & Juice for good coffee and a great staff.

Sometimes I'll get a decent latte, but most often it's flavorless or incredibly bitter. Crafting the perfect coffee is an art, and I respect those taking a stab at it, but maybe some better quality control on those artists would help.

Don't let that keep you from the excellent customer service, smiling faces and great coffee though. A review from several years ago said the Kona Mocha was " The best. Drink. Ever. While I disagree, it is very good and the ladies are always open to helping you tailor every drink to your liking. There is literally something for everyone and every taste on the menu including great pastries, breakfast sandwiches and chips. The ambiance is perfect for working, catching up with friends or just enjoying your coffee and people watching. My two favorite drinks so far are the Kona mocha ( breve) blended, 24oz and the Cold brew with half and half, pistachio foam, iced. You are welcome. If you are feeling really saucy, you can get yourself a cinnamon roll too which are also homemade.

The menu descriptions always sound amazing, but the drinks I've tried just haven't matched up. They tend to taste watery and bland, with only a faint hint of flavor. I've tried the Fruity Pebble and Strawberry Cheesecake meal replacement shakes, a Strawberry Banana kids smoothie, and most recently the Nutter Butter (without the cookie topping). Each time, the flavor just wasn't there maybe it's the protein powder being used? On my last visit (Tuesday around 1 PM), the atmosphere also felt a little off. The shop was very dim, no music or TV on, and I wasn't greeted right away even though it wasn't busy. For a meal replacement shake and kids smoothie, I paid $20.72, which felt like a lot for what I got. That being said, I think this place has a lot of potential. The ideas behind the drinks are creative, the branding is fun, and I know people are looking for healthier options like this in the community. I'd love to see management take a closer look at recipes, ingredients, and overall customer experience. A few small changes could make this spot amazing I'd be more than happy to give it another shot down the road!
