Found this place on Yelp, not so oddly enough. Open Wednesday through Saturday 11:00am-2:30pm & 4:30pm-9pm​ (Closed Sunday-Tuesday) I guess this place has been in Fruitland for about 3 years. The building is an old gas station. Plenty of seating inside and out. There is a terrace out front with rolling garage doors and also a spot out back that is dog friendly. Nicely decorated place and clean restrooms. The hostess will seat you and give you menus, then you order at the counter. They also bring the food to your table. They have four beers on draft and more in bottles, along with wines. I can see this place as a local hangout after work. I went with a friend of mine. He ordered the Grizzley Burger and I got the Cluck Cluck Nashville chicken samminch. I won't rate his, but he said it was quite tasty. The chicken sandwich was good, but I expected a little more heat in the sauce. The chicken portion was good sized, but there was still a bit too much bread to meat ratio for my liking. One other thing, we both noticed the bun being a little dry. As a matter of fact, they started breaking apart while eating. Personally, I would serve the chicken on Texas Toast. Of course, that creates logistic problems. We did split an order of fries, and they were good. They are not cripsy though, so be aware if that is what you want. We ordered the BLTC, truffle cheese fries, and the Cluck Cluck. All 3 were absolutely delicious! We live in Parma, but we're heading to Payette and swung by the Fruitland post office and just happened to see this place. Glad we took the gamble and came in. No picture of the Cluck Cluck, my hubby attacked it. Lol. Everyone working was really nice and it's very eclectic inside. We will definitely be back! read more

So delicious, I'm shocked I've never stopped in here. It looks like most of their food is local and they cook with Beef Tallow which is awesome. Definitely stop in here, they have games to play while you wait for your food or while you're enjoying a beer or five. The workers were so sweet and helpful. first off, thank you to the owner for allowing us to dine in 5 minutes before Lunch hour closes. We are on a 17 hour road trip back home and needed some good food. Being from California I'm always looking for new food. Maps had pulled up this spot. Felt extremely bad for bombarding them 5 minutes before lunch hour closes. The owner seemed a bit upset, but nonetheless decided to serve us. Made the quick decision to grab the Grizzly Burger with Fries and fry sauce. It was delicious! With burgers being an over saturated market in California, so finding this place was quite the delight. Delicious! Amazing! We were a little nervous on how the food would come out but it was superb and fast! Would love to visit this place again to try more of their options or even their later night pasta menu. So I was on my way back from Boise to Vancouver and needed to find a place for lunch. I found this on on Yelp. The service and food was very good. I had the Grizzly Burger and large fries. The staff was very friendly. You order your food at the counter and they bring it out to you. A couple of comments. So you will not find any salt and pepper shakers on the table. Strange since they do serve a variety of different fries. But the one item I found, that need attention was the bathroom does not have a lock on it. Strange. We drove out of our way to eat here and arrived around 1:25 PM, well before the posted closing time. Unfortunately, we were stopped at the door and told that the restaurant had sold out of everything at noon, and that only ramen was being served. There was no sign on the door indicating limited service or that most items were unavailable, and the door was unlocked. Given that it was still over an hour before closing, this was confusing and disappointing. It gave the impression that the kitchen may have already been cleaned due to a slow period rather than the restaurant truly being sold out. Our family of five had planned our day around eating here and arrived very hungry, so this was especially frustrating. A heads-up on the door or updated hours would have saved us the trip and frustration. Hopefully this feedback helps improve communication for future customers. read more

Fruitland doesn't get a lot of attention but we found a nice little eatery that is worth a stop when near Payette, Ontario or Weiser. Hitchcock Station is an old gas station that's bern transformed into a hamburger joint. And more than just a burger shack. Owner Emran Chowdhury was born in Bangladesh and moved with his family at age 12 to Toronto. He was a chef in Seattle before moving to Boise and spending a stint at Alavita. He later met retired three-time NFL Pro-Bowl tackle Jordan Gross of the Carolina Panthers and together they operated a food truck Boon Farm to Fork. In January 2023, Chowdhury opened his restaurant at the old gas station, a building owned by Gross in his hometown. It's located at 402 SW 3rd St. The burger offerings looked great, but Kristy and I opted for the surf-and-turf lunch special, steak slices in a light sauce and grilled shrimp. I added a huckleberry shake. Beef comes from Van Lith Ranch in Payette, with brioche buns supplied by Big City Bakery. The burger offerings are shown in a photo. Worst customer service in the treasure valley. Spend your money and support elsewhere, rude and condescending owner. Has the audacity to yell at and hang up on customers over the phone instead of simply asking them to place an online order. Which you can't place an order for their taco Tuesday special but the owner has no desire to take any considerations or tips for his website. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. I have been following Hitchcock Station reviews for a while and the raving is almost fanatic. Don't get me wrong; service is very customer focused, friendly and accommodating. The place is eclectic and welcoming. I love the gas station conversion because it's tasteful and you feel like you're in the cool club being there! There's no negotiation in these aspects and if based on these things alone, it would be 5 stars. However, this is ultimately a burger place...at least it feels that way. So, let the burgers rock it...but they are okay. Hubby and I got the Boon burger...best at basics means everything else will just be spectacular, right? The burger was juicy and flavorful, you can tell someone crafted it with consideration. The veggies are fresh and indulgent. The downside is the house sauce has a robust flavor of chili powder which doesn't compliment the rest of the toppings, the white cheddar is lost and the bun, though perfectly toasted, feels like too much bread compared to the rest of the burger. Maybe if it was dressed with a savory sauce that wasn't one-note, the bun would sing? I don't know. The saving grace were those amazing fries! Oh goodness. I would love to see some Irish nachos with those guys (cheddar, bacon and green onions melted on top) or even better, poutine! Those fries will be part of my memories for a long time. Another bummer is that they aren't open on weekends. I love that they want that for themselves and staff, lowering operating costs but for people that work outside of Fruitland full-time it's hard to get there. This little place put a lot of heart into the food they prepare and serve! I had the corn ribs and the salad and an order of french fries. The french fries are cooked in beef tallow which is far better for you then what you get anywhere else. I am a vegetarian, but I'm trying hard to give up bad oils so sometimes you have to bend a little bit. It would be nice if they had a offering of some main dishes that are vegetarian, but the quality was so great. I had to give them five stars. Everybody was very attentive to my needs and everything was very clean and orderly.. I'm certain I'll be back. read more

my son, grandson and I had traveled from mountain home for some personal business to payette and stopped by Hitchcock station for food. the staff was so incredibly nice and welcomin, even though we showed up 2 minutes until closing for dinner time, they still served us with great hospitality and grace the burgers were amazing but the fries stole all our hearts. then we had a huckleberry milkshake and that stole the show! so incredibly delicious and if you are in fruit land or near, I encourage you to try this spot read more

New Burger Spot! They have not updated their hours on this app, but they are open 11-8 Monday thru Friday. They serve beer, wine, milkshakes and a really good burger. I first tried the Farmer Dave add cheddar cheese. The meat was moist and the bun was soft and toasty. I loved the tangy bbq sauce. Next we split a Cluck Cluck, the signature chicken sando with Nashville hot sauce. The breading on the chicken was crispy and the sauce had just the right amount of kick. They have a dog friendly patio, but seats are limited. I prefer inside where they keep it nice a cool. They have a coffee and donut area, but it wasn't open. They bring in their buns from Gaston's Bakery in Boise, would love to see them fill up the donut case with pastries and breads from Gaston's, this area is in desperate need of a good place for pastry... beyond sugary cakes and cookies. read more

I gave this place three chances. I wanted to like it. I love supporting local businesses. Food is overpriced but good. I could overlook that. Where I do have an issue is the owner's demeanor. We came to the restaurant 10 minutes before dinner started (we didn't know that). One of his employees said it would be about 10 minutes before he could cook our order. Since they we getting the fryer ready. We said that was fine. My husband asked about a fish and chips meal. The owner said in a short tone that's not an option. That's for the dinner. My husband asked when the dinner menu would be available. He said in 10 minutes. The owner never interacted during our visit. He did interact with the high school girls throughout their visit. His employees were great. we tried again to give this business a chance. By calling, and placing a to-go order. The owner shortly said we don't take orders over the phone. You can go online and make them. We went to a different local business and they took our to-go order by phone. When you have a new business, you should be attentive to all customers. read more
