I recently moved to Texas so still getting familiar with the coffee shops around here. Due to taking my son to the library during those hours I hadn't been able to try the coffee trailer. So a few weeks ago, I was able to go to their store front in Robinson. I definitely appreciated the sign you could see from the street since there is a lot of traffic on that street and it could be hard if you don't know where you're going. The barista who took my order was sweet and I was so excited that they have a shaken espresso because that was one of my favorite drinks from Starbucks. So I ordered it and was pleasantly surprised that it tasted better than Starbucks! Yesterday I tried the shaken espresso but with PUMPKIN and let me tell you .... it was amazing. I also loved the Bible scripture they put on the coffees, love this place and I highly recommend this coffee shop over any big name coffee places (* cough Starbucks, Dutch bros cough cough *)

We ordered the iced latte with sugar free vanilla and coconut, and two orders of their donut bites for the kids. The donut bites were biscuits cut into donut hole sized pieces toss in butter, cinnamon, and sugar. They were a very nice treat and were made fresh! Gigi is the owner and she made sure we were taken care of and she took the time to learn my family and my name. I got a hot latte with oat milk, white mocha, and I added cinnamon syrup. Coffee used for cold brew is quite sour, so if you like a sour coffee you will like this. Sour coffee isn't my preference so it was a miss for me. As for service, I asked for oat milk in my cold brew, but when they call me up there wasn't any in the drink. I asked them about that, and they added the smallest splash. After a few sips I went to the counter to ask for some extra in a small cup to add to the drink, and the batista said she would have to charge me! I reminded her they initially messed up the order and she begrudgingly agreed and gave me some extra. Ultimately, I got what I needed but I didn't appreciate being potentially charged for a couple of tablespoons of something I had already paid for. For $13, my specialty latte cost less than a very small muffin, which the guy at the counter (who didn't offer to heat it or anything) tried to explain were that much because they come from a bakery like they didn't always. His tone was condescending, which was off putting when most people would find this change to be insulting to long time customers who expect more from a local place. It's no wonder they were so empty when it used to be packed. Overcharging for this and trying to explain it as a "small business" upcharge is disrespectful to locals and tourists. Plenty of local places have great goods like Street Dog (their muffins are AWESOME and fairly priced). Even Magnolia has products with price tags that are worth the money and service that does not talk down to people when noticing a significant change. I bought it feeling used and never going back.
