I was hospitalized twice due to cross-contamination, yet management never properly communicated precautions to staff or ensured I could work safely away from the ingredients I was allergic to. I also witnessed a coworker reach out regarding disability accommodations and receive no meaningful response. Quality control was another issue. If a customer never picked up an açaí bowl, it could sit in the freezer for hours and later be used when someone ordered the same item instead of being remade fresh. I also saw incorrect smoothies sent out to customers, with some employees assuming nobody would notice as long as the drinks looked similar. Overall, the lack of management involvement, poor communication, cleanliness concerns, and inconsistent food-handling practices made this a disappointing place to work and would make me think twice about being a customer.
