Middle-aged bald worker behind the counter tried to sell me counterfeit designer bags when I dropped off my clothes. They're about as fake as those chiclet veneers in his mouth. It gets worse. His fingers were sopping wet from what I can only assume is sweat. I knew because the dye on the bag stained his fingers. When I pointed this out to him, he immediately started sucking on his fingers in a vain attempt to get the dye out and claimed it was "chicken juice" from his "big chicken lunch". Such a bad customer service. I went to this place for our daughter's uniform patches and the lady who does the tailor was so rude. I understand that she was busy at that time but there is absolutely no reason for her to tell me not to come during the busy time. How am I supposed to know when she is busy and when she is not?!! While I've brought things for years without a problem, I and others, have had very bad experiences recently with ruined clothing--not only not removing stains but leaving the clothing unwearable. A pleated skirt was pressed and the pleats were removed and cannot be fixed --and it shrunk significantly. A silk dress that had been cleaned before came back a totally different color and the stain remained. A dark silk blouse with a tiny dark spot came back with a huge whitened splotch. In each incident they denied responsibility and made no effort to compensate appropriately. And, adding insult to injury, they were rude about it. None of these garments were exotic fabrics or had "specialty" accessories. If you like your clothes, go somewhere else. read more

5 stars for Sarah a wonderful seamstress !! 3.5 stars for their average dry cleaning 0 stars for organization - 2 items lost that they claimed I'd picked up -- they found 6 months later. 0 stars for the owner who Ive observed being disrespectful to his employees on multiple occasions. Lastly , they accidentally charged someone else's cleaning to my credit card ( over $500 ) and were very slow to respond ( multiple excuses ) and then payback what was owed( multiple excuses ) . I am so happy with Dutch cleaners! The owner, Rupert, is a man of his word. We had drapes that needed to be cleaned. Never having done this before, I was a little nervous. Rupert came to my house, took the drapes down and promised to have them back and rehung 2 days later. He did and they were very noticeably whiter! I called to ask him if he would please come back again to check on length as one set looked a bit long. He cane back and adjusted them. They look great!! And all for a reasonable price. Feel comfortable having this cleaner do your work. They are pros and so nice to work with too!! read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars for the tailor there- she's a lovely older lady who took in my pants to perfection- and they're open later than other places. If it was just the tailor working here I would return again everytime. However, I will not be returning because of the ladies who work at the front desk. They're so rude it's ridiculous. Why would I want to go somewhere where I feel like I'm not welcomed. There are too many other places in the area to put up with that. read more

I used to take my shirts here. When a 7TH shirt came back torn, I took them to another business. Continued to used there wash and fold service but when a fourth pair of shorts became missing just recently and they having no explanation, am done! This place is the WORST!!! My clothes are always finished to perfection and they always follow through when I have the occasional 'I need this tomorrow' request. I normally would never review a dry cleaner but I'm so impressed with their awesome tailoring services I just had to give a shout out. The lack of professionalism is outrageous. Our company dropped off items to be cleaned and when receiving them back, they were visably damaged. Upon attempting to communicate about how we could resolve the situation, they took no ownership or fault and stated that it was the company who made the products issue. At this point, Rupert, proceeded to scream at a member of our staff who had expressed her concerns and then threw a receipt in her face. We then requested a call back to discuss. It has been over a month and took us reaching back out to be screamed at again and told that this was our issue. As the woman Amy was extremely rude and then felt it necessary to put Rupert back on the phone to scream at me... Bottomline, we dropped off a product for service that was not damaged and received it back DAMAGED! It does not matter how it happened, take ownership! I would not recommend and will not be going back! If I could give negative stars I would. My family and I have been customers for nearly 30 years. We used to frequent 2 dry cleaners - Dutch for clothes that needed that extra special care and was worth the higher cleaning prices and another cleaner that was cheaper but was unreliable when it came to producing clean clothes. We started exclusively using Dutch (25 years ago) when my mother left her bespoke ruby and diamond brooch on a blazer she had dropped off at Dutch and Martha (who has been with Dutch Cleaners forever) called her to let her know. To this day they even return cash and receipts that my family members leave in their clothing pockets! Yes the prices are higher than some of the cleaners in the area, but I justify these prices because I know I'm getting excellent care, attention to detail, and honest customer service. I trust and love them so much that my brother and I drive in from Manhattan to drop off all our dry cleaning items. read more

I had a bridesmaid dress altered(which needed a significant amount of work done) and Sarah (she's such a sweetheart) did an absolute fabulous job! Dropped off about 10 shirts, and a suit (that had a very bad stain). It was all ready by the afternoon of the next day. Everything was done perfectly including the suit which looked brand new. Had a bleach white shirt get pinky all over after being washed improperly. The owner did a great job to restore to it's original condition, just beyond my expectation. And people there are very nice too. Recommend to everybody cos there are few dry cleaners you can trust out there. read more
