Mostly devoted to an active dry clearing business, Tiktoc also does alterations. I did so to get several pairs of pants shortened. The changing area is simply a small space curtained off from the shop. It's none too comfortable. But the quality of the work they did was more than acceptable, the staff was very agreeable. they got the job done quickly and the prices were the most reasonable in NYC I've encountered. My old dry cleaner damaged a good wool coat and the owner retired before I noticed. Based on the good reviews, I took the coat to Tiktok. The owner wasn't sure he could entirely undo the damage but he said he would try and wouldn't charge me if he couldn't. While it wasn't possible to make the coat look exactly like new, Tiktok did a great job--as good as humanly possible, I'm sure--and the coat is wearable again. I was charged $10 less than the full price quoted, which I was happily prepared to pay. Everyone I interacted with on my two visits was incredibly sweet and eager to fix the problem. As someone who has a vast and every growing collection of vintage and new designer clothes I really struggled to find a dry cleaner in the city who I could trust to do a good cleaning job and to not damage any of my items.
