Today's 5 star is for Tammy and her OUTSTANDING customer service. I got here at DMV at 7:30 this morning I was number nine in line by the time they open the doors at eight it was close to 100 people behind me. I was in and out in less than eight minutes. Tammy I have to say was friendly customer oriented kind and had a great sense of humor. She made this process so easy that had I had to wait in line it would have been worth it for her. The office personnel are nice and efficient. I have an issue with procedure. The permit test was taken online, passed. We go into office to get the physical permit. We wait 2 hours 10 mins (on the hardest chairs ever). Finally get called up, take picture, sign document, do eye test. Then youve been randomly selected to retake the test. Go take the test over there, you have an hour. Takes the test, 2 questions left, he gets a text, looks at his phone (he shouldnt have) test canceled. A women comes over and asked didnt they tell you no phone, father and son both say no. Have to take test again another day but get back in line to retrieve original state id. The tax collector should have a better system, this is 2026. If you think there's cheating at home online, dont offer that option. Or if you offer that option, they should be able to put in your info when you walk in to see if you are randomly selected so while you have a 2 hour wait you can take the test. Now we're looking at a 3 and a half hour wait. Good grief​ read more

Good parking Make an appointment before going call at 845 I believe until further notice. Some people showed up with out one and were not happy. My first time the customer service was not good. She needs some customer service tips.. I got a new car so I had to go back. I had great service this time I feel so bad for not remembering his name! He was very efficient and had me out pretty quick for all that I had to do. So just keep in mind it's hit or miss with customer service but I kinda get it they do see people back to back.. but ya know.. any way Bring your document too they have it on the web site I saw that being a common issue as well read more

I can't wait for them to bring back intelligence to the DMV. Told the guy when i went in I needed to register a car. He asked if I had a title and I said no, just a bill of sale and insurance card as he handed me a number. I proceeded to wait over an hour before getting called up and was told I can't do anything without a title. Grrrr! I despise stupidity! read more

I went to the tax collectors office to renew my drivers license. On emerging the office to wait in line, 3 people ahead of me, to "check" with the receptionist as I thought I must do. However appears the tax collector has installed a more automated system, which I'm all in favor. When it was my turn to speak with the receptionist to state my business, I was "Greeted" by a woman with a really bad attitude. in a gruff manner she asked my phone number and told me there were 27 people ahead of me. Gave her my number, I asked the 27 people ahead of me, how many were for drivers license renewal, she said very hatefull voice 27! She was very pleasant to the 3 people ahead of me and took time to speak and be of service I will add I am a white Caucasian- American The receptionist and the three people that were ahead of me were Black African-American. I feel I was discriminate. The Tax Collector needs to train their employee, customer skills and diversity. This was the most efficient tax collector office I've ever been to. My entire stay from the time I walked in was less than five minutes. I was there to renew my tag and I was able to complete the entire transaction in record time. The staff was friendly. The lobby was full. I'm not sure why everyone else was waiting. I didn't even have time to find a seat by the time they called my number. I highly recommend this branch if you have routine services like renewals to take care of. read more

Went to this office because closest to my home. No appointment but I was treated very well from the time I walked in. Waited about an hour but the surrounding were comfortable and quiet. Tammi was the clerk I was assigned and she was great. Efficient and friendly. She had me out in 15 minutes. I would recommend this branch office anytime. read more

Duval tax collectors is the least intuitive vehicle registration and tag system I have ever experienced. I have been to three appointments (two I waited in a drive through queue for), all of which resulted in me being turned away even though I had the proper paperwork. Many transactions aren't available in the drive through, this is not advertised anywhere, including at the beginning of the drive through. Functions such as vehicle title transfers and registration should be online - not only available in person with a printed form. Drag yourself out of the 1980s Duval county. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable, the organisation is unreasonably archaic. read more

I read other reviews and took the advice of my fellow yeplers and made an appointment! My appt time was 3:30 and I arrive at 3:25. As soon as I checked in I was given a ticket and found a seat. I sat down for maybe 30 seconds and my number was called. My representative was super friendly, but my luck... I read on the internet what I needed to bring instead of calling to see what all I needed to get a Florida driver's license. Along with my birth certificate, social security card, current driver's license, and 2 pieces of mail with my current address - I also needed my marriage license to show why my last name was different on my driver's license vs. my birth certificate. I had to leave and come back. Thankfully, they let me jump back in line and finish up. Even though it was still a bit of wait it could have been much worse! read more
