I ordered bbq from them (salmon, kabob, and beef filet). I have never in my life had more dry and unflavored salmon and they didn't even give me filet meat. I don't know what that substitute was but we couldn't even bite into it. It was hard, dry, and had ZERO flavor. Super embarrassing to have to serve that to guests. read more

I was in the area recently and we stopped by to pick up some fresh great meats from Dvin Meat Market in beautiful Glendale. I picked up some beef, Lamb, Chicken, Not any pork. Owners and workers pic out some of the best meats and butcher them. Inexpensive meats, Depending how many pounds you purchase. Friend of mine told me this place got the best lula kebab so I had to try it. I checked on yelp and NO Reviews or any tips. I walk in and its clean so that's a good sign. It didn't smell another plus sign. I look at the meat showcase and it's half empty but all selections was there. This also could be a good sign. My guess would be they don't wanna over stock it just in case it don't sell. So I asked the butcher what's in the lula kebab and he responded that it's a secret. But I wanna know what's in the mix? Maybe I don't like pork or lamp or most times they put soda for the ground beef to rise and that my yelpers DONT taste good at all. Now I'm questioning myself if I should even shop here? But I got a try it. After math was average again maybe just a notch up. But still not good enough for me. read more

I walked in and a lady was sweeping the floor. I asked for meat, she put down her broom and without washing her hands proceeded to put on gloves to grab the meat, which made them no longer sanitary. I asked her if she can wash her hands before she puts on the gloves because she had been touching the broom. She responded that she was touching the broom handle, not the bristles. I asked her if she will answer the same if health department representative will ask her the same question. Then She yelled that I'm crazy and that in 10 years of working this job, she has never heard of having to wash her hands before putting on gloves to grab meat. A guy came out from inside the kitchen, and when I explained what I had requested, he told me that the reason she doesn't wash her hands before putting on the gloves is because they're hard to put on when your hands are wet. At this point, I have come to the logical conclusion that she may not like to wash their hands after the restroom either because it's hard to put gloves on when their hands wet. I've been searching for a quality butcher, and I found this place on Yelp based on the good reviews. I must've went to a different location, because this place does not deserve a 5 star rating in my opinion. I stopped by for the first time on a Saturday afternoon and the meat selection was slim to none. The guy behind the counter seemed less than thrilled to answer my questions, and when I asked roughly how many pounds of chicken thighs he had left...he looked at me and said "I don't know" then continued to stare at me. So I ended up buying the last 3 pounds of chicken ($13) in the entire place. The quality of the chicken was fine, but no better quality then the chicken I buy at a major grocery chain. The seasoning was too light, with a few small slivers of onion as garnish. I had to add my own seasoning, to the already "pre-seasoned chicken" they sold me. This place is mediocre at best, I personally would rather buy meat from a grocery store and receive proper customer service, then come here to pay higher prices and get treated like an inconvenience. I also don't like the fact that the guy was handling and cutting meat with his bare hands. This is 2018, what food service business still does this? read more

I make Armenian bbq very often and this place is really has really bad meat. The beef had no flavor, and very Rubbery tasted old. Pork ribs they were too lazy to even cut it into pieces.
