I had a very disappointing experience with the ribs I purchased from this meat market. The customer service was poor, and the quality of the ribs was even worse. The meat was not lean at all and had too many hard, unpleasant pieces that made it difficult to eat. Instead of receiving normal quality ribs like a customer should expect, it felt like I was given the leftover low quality parts. I also felt misled because the product was not what was promised or represented. I would not recommend shopping here, and I personally will never give this place my business again. After having brunch at Raffis I made a quick stop here to buy beef liver (originally wanted to go to Grand Foods Market but I didn't want to drive that far out) Cooked the beef liver (same family recipe) and served it for dinner, 3 hrs later everyone was sick! Ugh so gross. The butcher was really nice and helpful. The cashier lady looked sad and miserable behind the counter, she gave a very aggravating dull vibe -not ideal for business but whatever) ...hopefully her life turns around in the best way :) The store looked clean but there were a couple flies inside. The wagyu skewers came pre-seasoned. This was not mentioned on the label so I added garlic salt. BIG MISTAKE as it was now way over salted! I'm pretty upset that there was no mention of seasonings on the packaging. This totally ruined my first wagyu experience and was a waste of $40. This could be a legal risk for this place if someone is allergic to chili powder. I'm pretty sure ingredients are legally required on packaging. Or what if you don't want spicy wagyu? The seasoning were rolled up into the meat so with no information on the packaging this just looks like rolled up meat on a stick. No way to tell it's seasoned. read more

I really want to give this place 1 star for my purchase but that isn't fair because I didn't buy anything else. The meats all looked good and the place is very clean. From a customer service experience it is as good as you can get from a butcher in Glendale. My problem was that I was in search for sweetbread. Those of you who don't know it is not sweet, not it's it bread. It is the thymus or pancreas of the cow or veal. I first had it at Lala's Argentinian restaurant and fell in love. Well I saw that they had it in their website so I went. First of all they was frozen, which I later found out is common. However it made it hard to check for quality. At $6.99 per pound it seemed like an ok price. So I bought about 2 lbs in two separately frozen bags. I was in Glendale so I decided to see if there were other places that had it and I found this great Argentinian butcher down the street and they had thawed sweetbread at $4.99 a pound. I prepared that one and one from Sevan and was surprised to find that there was a significant amount of fat on the one from Sevan. Plus after I soaked it in milk overnight the one from Sevan was much not as soft as the one from the Argentinian place. I never got to eat the one from Sevans because I took both to my friend's place to barbecue and nobody else would eat it cuz they thought it was gross. So I ate the one from the Argentinian place by myself and accidentally left the one from Sevan at my friend's house. Then this week I defrosted the other pound of sweetbread and was shocked by the amount of fat. I would say 3/4 of what I bought was fat. And the meat would not get tender like the other one I bought from the Argentinian place. It was ridiculous! So I decided to write a review but again the other meats were fresh-looking and so I can only comment on what I bought. Basically what I'm saying is do not buy the sweetbread here. Look up the Argentinian butcher that is very close by. read more

Hands down one of the best meat markets in the LA/Valley area. We drive all the way from South Bay to get our meat here when we feel like splurging. The employees are super cool and helpful, they even help me with ice for the long drive back through traffic. This is really a great butcher shop. They also have great salads, picked vegetables and so on. You can buy marinated meats as well as non-marinated. The staff is really willing to serve you. They offer top of the line meats and fish. I like that they are close to my studio in Glendale and always enjoy taking meat to bbq when heading to San Diego to be with family. I have purchased meat from this market one time before and I was satisfied with the meat product although the prices are a little high. I noticed that they also do specialty Kabobs on skewer which needs to be ordered ahead of time. I had a gathering 1 week ago and I ordered ahead of time the Wagyu skewer and the ground beef and lamb skewer. These were prepared by adding lamb fat to the skewers. The meat was wrapped in thick layers of fat with ratio of 2:1 fat to meat. making BBQ was very difficult as these caught on fire on the flame secondary to high fat content. The fat was so excessive that the guests had to sit and separate the fat and have a large pile of fat at the side of their plate so they can consume the meat. There was also excessive use of salt. Considering $40/lb of these Kabobs I was very disappointed. I am certain they can do much better with cutting the ratio of fat to meat to add flavor but not make the fat the main course. read more

Going in I had a cut in mind and most places will sell short rib pre cut at a certain size already. The guys working here were nice enough to cut to my specifications. I will definitely be coming back here to try making more dishes. There are some reviews here criticizing the service but the two gentlemen that I've interacted with were very nice and accommodating to the special request I had. Seven Meat Market is one of those places you wish you could visit every weekends for a bbq. I would but it's pricey the meat however is a standard above. They offer a wide variety of different cuts of meat and marinated bbq. The kabob is great and so are the lamb chops. I stopped by to pick up an Armenian grill for when I cook kabob. They have a few selections ranging from $130-280. Well worth it however I wish the grill grate I bought with it was more sturdy. They offer charcoal and fresh groceries as well.
